Still interested, still not bored!

I read yesterday that Spencer regrets not saying something about Dodi in his speech . Imagine how awkward that would have been ! A reference to your latest boyfriend. Rosa Monckton knew Diana well and has stated that Dodi was a welcome diversion in Diana trying to get over Hasnat Khan. Definitely a good decision on his part! Was he going to name all of her associations ? 😬

@Wafflesandcoffee I agree - they totally overplayed their hand in 2020 and made themselves look extremely foolish and deluded.

What will be interesting (and potentially infuriating if they pull it off) is whether they've overplayed their hand again by moving back here and trying to force the issue of their security. I believe that is a major, if not the main, reason for them relocating to the UK in such a seeming rush.

So behind, life got busy, so just a few thoughts:

1. Charles Spencer referring to the media surely being a “cancerous” influence on Diana and Meghan and Harry says so much, and explains everything. That particular word, “cancerous”, is deliberate and aimed at Charles and Catherine. It’s the lowest blow: you’re not the only ones who have suffered, these three suffer every day of their lives. Meghan’s swan emoji is her agreeing. She and Harry are 100% convinced, and Spencer is effectively agreeing, that Meghan is Diana 2.0: nobody cared about her when she was pregnant and suicidal just like Diana, the media drove her to the brink just like Diana, she can Royal better than the born-to-it’s just like Diana, same compassion and heart as Diana, the RF didn’t know how to handle her beauty and popularity just like Diana, the woman in the world most hounded by the press just like Diana, totally misunderstood just like Diana… Meghan has gladly positioned herself as Diana’s heir. Harry, Meghan and Charles are aiming for her to claim her crown as such.

1. Does anyone remember the fiasco when John Prescott used the bus lane on the slip road off the M4 towards Heathrow? The blasting he got for entitlement (was he Home Secretary at the time?) nearly cost him his job. And these two twits wanting to use it every day for the school run.

1. I think it would suit everyone extremely well for the Hams to return to the US, except for Harry. We’ll see who has the upper hand in that marriage (we already know). They’ll be gone within a year not least because RAVEC won’t give them what they want.

1. It occurs to me that both Meghan and Harry have very few people to give love to. I was at a party on Friday night where the couple gave a speech at the end about how it felt to look out at the crowded room and see people from all stages of their lives who have showed up for them and shown them such friendship over the years, from primary school to near-retirement. I hate parties so wouldn’t ever do the same 😂 but can look at my own life and say the same: parents, siblings, husband, children (who don’t count when young because they’re programmed to love us!), friends from school and university and my childhood neighborhood, old work pals who have become friends, nieces and nephews, school mum friends who have endured. I’m so lucky to have such a rich life. Who do Harry and Meghan have? Each other. Doria. Meghan has no other close family, and friends who seem to last a few years before being dropped to make space for new useful ones. Harry’s hurt his family so much that at best his relations are strained. He doesn’t even know his nephews and niece. His aunts and uncles are all distancing themselves apart from Spencer. His friends are MIA. The people they have are transactionally useful or bring them something through shared dysfunction. They’re so lacking in love, to give and receive. They’re clinging to each other because there’s nobody else for either of them.

I am returning to the “cancerous” remark from today’s Spencer reporting. I can’t really believe it. William and Camilla must be spitting. It’s so pointed and manipulative and deliberate.

makes me wander if this latest alliance has been hastily put together

What did carving out a progressive new role mean? Obviously I understand it involved a machete and pickaxe, but was progressive just a buzzword or was there something specific in mind? Did they intend to move back here at that point?

In fairness even I can't see them having got through the lot - and especially not if his family retained any kind of control - but I've also not the least doubt Meghan would have considered it up for grabs if she could just manipulate Harry enough

After all those Hollywood dreams don't come cheap and it's not as if she had the necessary talent or business ability to pay for it herself

The progressive new role they envisaged was, IMO, that they got to do all the fun bits, dressing up and tiaras and Trooping the Colour and so on, but didn't have to do the dull bits, like opening a new hospital wing on a rainy Thursday in Scunthorpe. Instead, they would be off making lots of lovely money doing vague things that would be very profitable. I genuinely don't think it was any better thought-out than that.

I think ( &I'm fairly sceptical about polls ) of the ones I've seen , not only are H&M's positive popularity ratings low , but their unpopularity rating is higher than their popularity as a % of all opinions. . No-one in the RF is in this position. ( excepting AMW ) . Even Camilla , who for many will also have a level of unpopularity , for reasons.

This is why I think if they or even H only are serious about forging a public life in the UK , they need to start doing something differently.

Another point about CS.... He says that he has only had two phone calls ever with KC. Not the actions of a loving Uncle.... If he really loved those boys and wanted to be involved and supportive he would have put his feelings about their father to one side and worked on good family relationships.

Openly saying cruel things about their father (be they true or not) is massively damaging to whatever relationship there is currently. I hope his mean spirited, cash grabbing book makes feck all money.

Well Meghan posted a photo lying at her pool in Montecito, another one of her cryptic trolling hints was a vaguely blurred image of two other people at the pool beside her, and it became clear the white haired person was CS and the blond haired woman was his wife.

Speculation was they visited H&M when they were in the US for their marriage in May of this year. so maybe H&M did attend the marriage in Arizona, they could have even acted as witnesses, either way Meghan wanted the world to know Spencer and his current new wife had visited them at their home in the US.
