There really are few Harry mis-steps which are biting harder than his mocking William’s hair loss, are there? William embracing it and looking hot AF, Harry looking increasingly tragic.

Also, is it just me, or does today’s post smack of ‘oh crap, better put a pic in of just Archie and dad’. Several that focus on the girl child, Archie always seems a bit player in this soap opera.

And the fact, yes fact that they’re whirling up this maelstrom of drama around their kids and schooling. Poor kids have not only been pulled out of their US schools,
they’ve moved country, to the cold and wet, been shoved into a new school with a bunch of kids with strange accents, no friends, and what friends they’ve made in the two short days they’ve been at school have now been removed, because their self serving, entitled fuckwit 🤡🤡 parents want yet another contrived drama to wrangle the gun ladened cavalcade they want to make them appear ‘elevated and special’ - honestly, what a bloody farce they really are 🤯🤯🤯

All these candid snaps are suddenly less sweet when you ask ‘who took the photo?’

I too think it is less about any security concerns and more about the reality of the school run.

Yes, they rushed in without giving the whole thing proper consideration as with everything they do.

I didn't say what sort of parent I thought he was. I said that I think he is genuinely doing his best.

It was a particularly short sighted dig at William given the hair genetics in the family.

I agree that the constant moves are unhelpful for the children. I wasn't saying whether I thought him a good or bad parent, how would I know? I do believe he is trying to be a present Dad.

Which, let's face it, it's a pain for most parents. It does tend to suggest that the stories about the bodyguards taking the children to school in the US are true. If they had frequently taken the children to school they would know what it's like.

As a lesser mortal I did my school run 45 mins 😱 and it's 2 weeks into term and I haven't changed schools yet

A quick Google would have informed his royalunroyalness that male pattern baldness has a strong hereditary component.

A wiser fellow still might have looked to Pa, brother, grandpapa and the still-royal uncle and concluded that a full and lustrous hairline is never a guarantee and that the best policy (as ever) might be to say nothing on the subject

I fish. What I noticed in that photo is a lack of lifebelts ( The orange waistcoat might be a flotation device ?), and really, it is the wrong sort of boat to be a stable fishing platform. It sits very high in the water, and the hull is sort of "filled in", putting the fishers high up instead of enclosed by the bullwarks. Sorry I do not know the terminology. For safety, you want to sit inside the boat, not on top of it.

I suspect the boat in that picture would not be allowed on a commercial fishery. Not for hire anyway.

Also, the person in orange should be sitting down. I would not take my DD fishing in that boat. One stumble and that orange kid is over the side.

Also, one can see from the photo that it is likely staged. From the angle of the photo anyway. Because there is no landing net. If the person in black is a fishing guide/instructor, they would have a landing net.

It's a personal thing, so please don't flame me, but the picture of Harry kissing his daughter made me uncomfortable. Maybe it's the pose; I don't recall my father ever kissing me (or my sister) while holding and tilting my chin towards him - and he was an affectionate man. (As already pointed out by a pp, the photo doesn't look like a selfie, so who was taking it?)

Maybe, but that is the bare minimum he is doing if he isn’t ensuring that his and his wife’s decisions about where to live, school journeys and so on are first and foremost about what is best for the children. It should not be performative (although I realise they are far from alone in being performative parents wrt to schooling)

If i had started my children in school last week and then realised it wasn't going to work out and had to withdraw them and put them into another school I would be so stressed and upset about it. The last thing I would be doing is going through my photos to put something online. Who even wishes their husband happy birthday online anymore? I say it to my husband...I don't need to say it to the world.

The photos themselves....meh. Again...if you have an issue with security then stop doing things to generate interest in your family. And people do pick these photos apart...looking for any issues - who would put their children under a microscope like that?! A genuinely caring parent wouldn't do that. A parent who puts status above all else might do it .. And no, just because you hide their faces that doesn't make it okay.

Dai Davies, former head of royal security was just interviewed on BBC News and stated the Sussexes' concerns about security are entirely of their own making. They need to stop running to the media, stop broadcasting what they're doing and everyone will leave them alone. It's that simple (but, of course, obscurity is the very last thing they want).

Still can't keep up but my two cents on the abrupt school move is that it's a stunt.

Kids are being used as pawns in Harold's increasingly shrill shrieking for the littles to sub his grandiose ideas of what should comprise his security provision.

Poor things must be so confused and wtf thinks a convoy is appropriated for a school run?
