I’ve just remembered that Archie was meant to be doing “day boarding” finishing around 6pm, with Lily’s day ending around 3 or 4 pm. So THREE round trips, with each trip involving about an hour of crawling through north Oxford traffic, so about six hours a day on the school run! Of course it was unsustainable. But yeah, “security” is a much better excuse than being idiots who didn’t realise the school run was a pain in the bum.

I think this must be right, but I also like the earlier theory that it's all lies and they are in the US.

If you take it on face value then really it's very disordered behaviour, if they were poor they'd be getting visits from social services. Like most on here I don't give a hoot about the hamlets except that they are just kids and must be being royally fucked up.

If they really were at Dragon then the Head would take no sh*t, being used to ultra HNW families. If they really were at Dragon then a very awkward encounter with someone has been avoided, not least the well known florist who did the evening wedding reception flowers and has since ceased the wedding side to her business due to pushy brides. She’s an adorable person.

If they really were at Dragon then that was an insane choice and goes to show how out of touch with reality Hazza is if he can’t cope with commuter traffic in a built up city and having to adhere to the school rules about drop off and pick up. Thats 3 extra unnecessary cars taking up vital space in a small school car park at a pressurised time and don’t tell me they did a drive by, chucked the kids out with the engine still running and threw their school bags out of the car after them.

Why would hamlets be threatened? KC has now confirmed they are private citizens. Is it a kidnap fear ???

Robert Crampton in The Times - hopefully this link works

Wellies, a fireside and fishing — it’s Meghan’s marketing spin, as ever…

I’m calling it: they just cited security a. for ravec and b. Because they couldn’t admit the truth: having discovered the school run is about an hour each way, twice a day, they can’t be arsed to do it.

Also, whatever school they are at, chances are when they finally buy a place of their own it will involve another change of school to somewhere closer to the new place. Unless they squat at Ian’s place indefinitely.

Three times a day because they were going to have Archie stay later.

AustenitesUnite · Today 07:32

I'm just surprised they didn't fly the Hamlets to school by helicopter

Oh oops, have I given H&M an idea for next time they move schools????

And I haven't seen any sign of birthday greetings yet?

Fondmemories · Today 07:33

I wonder if they actually have more security than they know and MI5 have them under surveillance?

I'm quite sure they have, and have done all along.

The potential for manipulation by bad actors has been evident since the first faux-royal tour, to Nigeria, if not before.

The more I think about it, the more I think the King had to shut down the Ugandan nonsense before anyone could twist it to make it look as if he was interfering in Ugandan affairs and stir up a lot of anti-colonial rhetoric.

M doesn't understand the history of the Commonwealth, and Harry is too dim, and both of them are too self-absorbed, to realise the damage they could do.

I'm not so sure they are too dim to realise the damage they could do. I think it's all very deliberate . They are both completely malign.

I'm inclined to think you're right, at this stage it's all looking deliberately disruptive.

PullTheBricksDown · Today 07:37

It's backfired though. Lots of the reaction I'm seeing is disapproval that they'd mess their kids around like this.

Starryfifty · Today 07:39

The positive spin on this latest farce is IF Ravec do not cave, they will uproot hamlets again and leave. To where, is anyone's guess. Securidee is their last ditch attempt at some status.

This is all such odd behaviour, and frankly not befitting of RF. I hope the hamlets didn’t actually start at the school. Their childhood will be a mess of anxiety and faux danger if this really is how HaM run their household.

I still think the hamlets are in USA.

Starryfifty · Today 07:50

If and only if KC and or PW know a guy who knows another guy in Ravec (just saying) they will surely have a word. Don't give them what they want. Absolute best thing for RF and UK is HAM out of the UK and fast

They are indeed shocking @AtIusvue. Just when you think they couldn't be anymore ridiculous they are 🤷‍♀️ . They are using these children as exploitation.

Perhaps if they had actually focused on settling their children instead of prioritising instagram, attempts to blackmail the King, and their “official engagements” this chaos could have been avoided.

So much for “mom” being M’ s superpower, her most important title, and H being a stay at home dad.

I'm seeing similar - though the Squaddies are getting increasingly strident in their defence.

Stupid decisions by H&M are just causing more extreme reactions, whatever PR strategy they have, it's appalling. They should be trying to get more sympathetic and positive responses, instead it's more - wtf????

I suspect The Mail are trolling them.

It's rather a sweet post this year. I do believe that Harry is doing his best to be a better and more present parent.

Everyone can look happy and relaxed, having fun in the holidays with children.
Is that what good parenting is?
They're promoting an image, we've no idea what kind of parent he is.

KC and PW have no impact on RAVEC. Their only involvement is to share diaries. No-one "has a word" with a top level security committee.

All about the status.
Genuine question, where will they go?

He’s failing miserably if he thinks being a good parent is moving your kids from pillar to
