If fact. Looking at the boat in that photo. It might not be British. It looks more like an American style bass boat. They have filled in hulls to create a platform. UK fishing boats have open hulls. That might be why the photo looks strange to me.

But the Fishing rod I can see is UK style, not US.

There is also no rowlocks for oars. I am leaning towards it being the USA.

They could just stop teasing pics of the kids and inviting speculation as to whereabouts if they were genuinely concerned about their security.

Just a thought about why a convoy?. If there are two cars it's much easier for them to get split up at the lights. One car , just wait for the lights to change. I reckon it's an attempt to make the situation seem worse , Ravec for the bouncing of.

Plus, a convoy is immediately noticeable. One car, low key, no-one would look twice.

Can you imagine the confusion of those children.

They would have been fitted for the school uniform, what in the last two weeks? - blazers, school bags, shirts, ties etc. Meg would have taken a million pics of them looking smart in their first day. Mum n dad will have explained how this new school is the start of their new adventure in the UK and what a special day it is and how they are so so proud of them.

Fast forward a few days and today, after their taster day yesterday, they will be getting fitted for a new uniform for their new school.

How the hell can a child process that? We can’t even fathom the stupidity of their parenting that they couldn’t factor in traffic. So what chance does a child have. That’s on top of being away from people and places that are familiar to them.

If weren’t rich, but constantly moved and yanked kids in and out of schools- I feel the schools would raise safeguarding concerns.

And still not one pic of Archie and Lili interacting. Never playing together, never chasing each other, never reading together etc.

Which is the point, when the issue is status rather than security.

If the picture of Harry with the kids on a quad bike is in England (as the style of fence suggests) then Harry is breaking the law and should be prosecuted. Children under 13 are not permitted to ride on quad bikes (apart from specific low powered ones) and never as a passenger. Anyone riding one should wear a helmet too.

Yes, of course. When William visited a homeless charity in my town, there was no convoy. He arrived, one car, two men with him, all low key. No flashing lights or motorcades.

I live on the route they would have taken from up near Brackley down into Oxford. I used to drive that way myself every day to work and back.

The main issue is the private schools themselves - most parents drive their children in, it seems. Traffic is so much worse when those schools are in term. Especially now traffic filters and charges force commuters travelling down to the city along the same two roads where the private schools are generally located. When those schools break up it's a much-reduced volume of traffic travelling down into Oxford, even when state schools are still running.

I can safely say that their security team is shit if they're recommending a convoy travelling to school. I wouldn't bat an eyelid at a 4x4 with blacked-out windows driving down to a private school, they're ten a penny. I would pay much more attention if there were two or three cars like it travelling together. Hence their own security team was drawing far more attention to them than is necessary.

Honestly, they just had to look at the Oxford Facebook groups to see how much complaining about traffic there is to know it was going to be a minimum of an hour each way.

I'm shocked if they really have changed their children's schools after two days. I just can't imagine doing that to my kids, especially at 5 and 7. They are making such a mess of it, complaining their security couldn't secure the school run. They might think they sound like reasonable, concerned parents by saying it but actually they are demonstrating that they're the opposite.

I feel sad for the two kids right now. What a mess.

Yes, a convoy is very noticeable. That's why other royals avoid them, same with high net worth and very famous individuals.

I know people go on about the children like they're stll tiny toddlers but they're 5 and 7 now. School age (if they ever get to settle in a school).
And Archie's peers are, sadly, old enough to start teasing each other.

Honestly fed up of them now, using their children like this seems at best incompetent parenting or worse deliberate tactic to get the converted security!

In a previous thread I pointed out dumping kids into a prep without the usual taster days and visits was unusual, didn't even occur to me that no one would also think to check the school run in advance!

Really feel for the kids, moving school half way round the world is hard enough without your parents making it unnecessarily complicated.

This has really pissed me off I have to say.

I mean what kind of fucking idiots pick a school in a city - notorious for congestion - that’s a 30 minute drive from their temporary house outside of rush hour, and are surprised that it’s busy for school drop off?

The convoy - complete joke. completely unnecessary. Stuck in traffic and being sitting ducks?

I mean if you’re in one car with blacked out windows, nobody is going to know who you are or give the slightest damn about it. Even less so if you didn’t make a fuss to out both the location of the house you’re staying at or the school your kids are going to.

Their levels of arrogance and self importance really know no bounds. They just don’t want the inconvenience of having to wait in traffic like “normal” people.

I will be beyond furious if RAVEC grant them publicly funded security, even more so when they are evidently going out of their way to try and manufacture risk to get what they want.

I did notice in the reporting it says they’ve been told that this review doesn’t mean they’ll be granted security, so I fervently hope that it’s a box ticking exercise to try and put the thing to bed once and for all. After all, if the review done for Harry in July only determined on giving him the phone number of a police liaison officer on visits here, it’s hard to see how that suddenly escalates to requiring anything like full time security just because he’s now resident again - and to do so would mean treating him differently from all the other members of the RF with a precedent long set that security is only provided for official engagements apart from the King and the direct heirs.

Hopefully they’ll tell them to piss off and the pair of them will flounce off again. I was finding their antics somewhat amusing when they were over in the states but now I’m utterly sick of hearing about them.

The thing is, because of all the carry on no-one is now going to believe if RAVEC grant security that it was genuinely needed. They’re going to think he bullied and tantrummed his way into it.

I was reading Michelle Obama’s autobiography recently and there was so much in it about trying to keep their daughters’ lives normal, to work with the secret service teams so that they could still have play dates and do sports clubs and have the usual childhood experiences. Michelle Obama’s mother moved with them into the White House, so she could do the school run and be around when their parents couldn’t. It was all the polar opposite of HAM.

Surely at some point they must get bored with all their own nonsense and get on with their lives?
