Quite. In the US, they actually sent members of the security team to get them coffee! I think they don't understand the term "security".

Whilst in Canada they wanted 3 teams of (taxpayer funded ) armed security . One team for each of them .

There is speculation on Reddit that maybe, due to the rather odd and isolated way they seem to be being brought up, the children might have found it very difficult to cope with the atmosphere. Absolutely zero evidence, of course, but it sounds plausible. And someone who clearly had had children at the school said that the Head is a force of nature who would not be putting up with any nonsense from HaM.

I loved it when he totally got his comeuppance in Italy covering Catherine's tour. He did a video on a quiet backstreet claiming that nobody was very interested in Catherine - but by the time he scurried back to the main square it was full chaos and without his Sussex-guaranteed front position he was photographed scrambling at the back trying to see anything 😂

I doubt if William and Catherine will give Ship the time of day after that podcast where he discussed George's security arrangements at school and George's personal hygiene 😮Can you imagine how loudly he would squawk if people did this to the Hamlets 😡

According to X, the convoy split up in the school car park and other parents’s cars slipped inbetween. The audacity. You can literally hear the swearing behind the steering wheels of the parents caught in the mayhem of massive 4x4s who don’t know what the doing and are breaking the carefully constructed system that is drop off.

In the spirit of this thread, this is a monumental PR fckup. God knows how they’ll come back from this. They are a laughing stock.

I think the school run brouhaha might very well be to try to influence Ravec. Now , I don't think they will be influenced . But as we know H thinks Ravec funded security for him and his family is a "drop in the ocean" of their budget. I've seen estimates circa £7.5m p.a. for 24 / 7 all family including school runs etc. I don't know. But really if H does want this security why not shut up and let Ravec do what they do very quietly. Given the kerfuffle he has made If he does get it , don't expect extra popularity H.
