Appearances can be deceptive but the contrast is quite something. William and Kate's message is 'We are a happy family' (the Royal ideal, of course, but genuine in this case, as with George VI, QE, E & M ). I have posted this before, but I have diminishing empathy for the 'poor Harry- lost his mother young narrative'. My DC and other posters on this thread have supported their amazing children through the loss of a parent in formative years- usually having to carry on with our jobs, no mental health support and a significant loss in household income. My DC will always have suffered this trauma but at 20 is an amazing young person, at uni and working and making the most of their life. Harry himself has said he has accessed lots of therapy, but is still fixated on and defines his personality by the loss of his mother nearly 30 decades later.

Poor Sean Lennon lost his father in the most tragic way, he was actually in the building when John was murdered. He does seem quite well adjusted though compared to Harry. Better therapy perhaps?

The poor Harry is the bandwagon he has jumped on since he was 12. It's quite shameful actually. I do think he was let do exactly as he pleased and no consequences. Unfortunately too late for him now

Why do two children need a 3 car convoy to take them to school??
If they are indeed that big a target then no school should be accepting them due to the huge risk they will be to all of the other children. They should be home schooled .

Re Harry /trauma etc.
The six year old son of Rhiannon Whyte (single mum murdered by an illegal immigrant who stabbed her repeatedly in the head with a screwdriver at the train station where she had gone after her shift in the ‘hotel’ in which he the evil bastard was ‘staying) has not been offered any therapy despite his aunt (Rhiannon’s sister) begging for it. He is 6.
I would prefer to see him recieve therapy until he’s 18 rather than paying for the hamlets “ securidee “

Back in the 90s when I was in Oxford, I remember cycling up the High Street which was nose to tail congested and passing a very posh black car, glancing in the windows and seeing two rather bored small girls, and realising they were Beatrice and Eugenie.
They certainly weren't in a convey unless they'd got very lost as the whole street from Iffley Road roundabout to Carfax was nose to tail and I'd have noticed another car like that.

I wonder if the school told them they couldn't accommodate their 'convoy' and that's what led to the change? Whatever school they went to is likely very used to children from very rich and high profile families who manage perfectly well without 'convoys' holding up the traffic and causing even more congestion than normal.
