Could someone please explain to me how Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK will work out.
They’re very unpopular with the British public.
Unless Doria moves over to the UK, Meghan has no family support.
Harry has burned so many bridges with his family.
His friends, those that are remaining, will have to choose between supporting Harry or supporting William and apparently they have had quite a aristocratic friends in common.
William will be the King so I presume he will be supported by many of those mutual friends.
Will the first cousins, George, Charlotte, Louis, Archie and Lilibet ever meet up ?
Apart from probably funerals.

There is a strange narrative that somehow Harry is the only royal or VIP at risk!
He likes to make out that he is unique in this respect so that the UK taxpayers pay for round the clock top notch security.

However Princes Anne's chap (Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence) was given special dispensation by HLMTQ to appear on the balcony with Anne in recognition of the support he gives her. And he has appeared on the balcony. However , this was a special dispensation - recognition of him quietly supporting the Princess Royal over a long time, I think the actual rule , as you say . is WRF only. He's there because Anne. But apart from this genuinely minor point I agree with you. Discussion rather than disagreement 😊

I think William will be very careful about being seen in close proximity to Harry. I remember the incident with Andrew approaching him at a recent funeral to make conversation and the look on William’s face. I imagine Harry (who publicly promoted Meghan at the Lion King event) raised a red flag that evening.

I agree. William has seen some turbulent years recently and some alarming controversies. I think it will have made him much more ruthless than he was, say 10 years ago. That’s not a criticism - just a fact of life. He’s also learned that his brother can be treacherous and turn on him and his family. So I see no warm reunion for a long time to come and perhaps things can never be the same again.

Can I believe the some members of the RF are racist? Yes. Harry for one. Charles and Kate. No. Not even my republican mother believed that one.

Harry and Meghan did a lot of damage to them and this country and they really shouldn’t get an easy ride back.

I totally agree with you.

Of course the RF aren't angels - no more than we are. But racist? I don't think so. The late Queen built relationships with so many Commonwealth leaders and had a genuine love of the Commonwealth 'family', as she saw it. The Obamas in particular (NB - I know they're not Commonwealth!!) made a real connection with her and PP and Michelle even made a supportive statement after the OW interview.
