Are the bets on or off for an invite to Balmoral?
Will Meghan bake a humble pie for Catherine?
Let’s discuss……!

Why is he concerned about a nephew he has no relationship with?

Especially as William told him that his DC are not H’s concern .

Starryfifty · 17/08/2026 21:47

Has KC accepted the invite to Ingriftus ??

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/08/2026 21:57

Starryfifty · 17/08/2026 21:22

It keeps everyone talking about him. What's his reason for coming over, apart from letting everyone know he's still a member of the RF ?

Perhaps he believes that if he continues coming back and the media keep repeating the silly will he/won't he stories, his father will get so worn down with the carry-on that he'll welcome Harry back permanently?

StartupRepair · 17/08/2026 22:05

Unlike Harry, George appears to have had a happy grounded childhood with stable parents, which will stand him in good stead.

Sorry if this has been posted earlier.
Seems like it’s the end of the road for Harry and his very important person security,

Well, hopefully that's the end of this nonsense once and for all

HoldMyWine · 17/08/2026 22:18

Hopefully he will cough up and pay the costs for yet another waste of court’s time.

bluegreygreen · 17/08/2026 22:26

What is it with Harry and Labour and the Lib Dems and Hugh Grant?

He's useful, @AutumnCrowsMusings.

For Lib Dems/Hugh Grant it's been Hacked Off, court cases - aim for Leveson 2.

With Labour, it's a combination. I think for some they do see H&M as anti-establishment, and the republicans within Labour supported them initially for that reason.
Mostly, I think it's an extended version of his campaign against freedom of speech. We know he speaks out against the First Amendment, and is a member of the Aspen Institute.
The link here is Morgan McSweeney and the Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), which is not (as it might sound) an organisation to encourage people to behave nicely online, but rather one that campaigns to have people it disagrees with removed from the internet.
It has very close links with Labour in the UK and the Democrats in the US, and is linked with Archewell.

I don't know why this has cropped up today (I've seen it on 2 other sites) but it's reporting the Court of Appeal judgement from May 2025.

‘On Friday, Master of the Rolls Sir Geoffrey Vos dismissed the appeal, stating that Harry’s “sense of grievance” did not constitute a legal basis to overturn the prior decision.’

This so reminds me of the Pythons.

‘Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.’

Harry is now paying for the 5 minute argument, not the full half hour.

Thought it was odd I hadn’t seen it on here.
Sorry peeps -thought I had found something before everyone else and got a bit over excited. !!

We will have to put up with this narrative and briefing until the palace and the government says “no” , it seems that neither wants to look like. The bad guy ….and it will continue….

MrsLeonFarrell · 18/08/2026 06:51

It's all getting very circular isn't it? Press articles about security, whether or not they will visit the UK, where they will stay, if they will see the King, whether or not they will come for Christmas or to Balmoral in the Summer. Harry offering to reconcile, an attack on William, the King about to cave in some way, Harry being concerned about a situation or person he knows nothing about.

There is nothing new, nothing has actually changed since "recollections may vary". Harry, and his PR are stuck in a spiral of repeating press releases which are just proving the law of diminishing returns. He still gets attention in the press but I think we are near the point where they get bored and move on. If no one pays him attention, how will convince himself that he is living a royal life of service?

Until he faces up to the reality of what he has done and accepts responsibility, this is his life. It is really sad and he did it to himself.

SqueakyDinosaur · 18/08/2026 07:21

It's sort of like the dark mirror of the WRF's calendar. Christmas at Sandringham with the address to the nation, summer in the Highlands after a garden party at Holyroodhouse...

I think you're absolutely right, @MrsLeonFarrell. H seems to have realised that banging on constantly about how the RF should apologise and grovel isn't getting any traction. But he doesn't seem to be able to take the conceptual leap to ask himself if he or M has done or said anything that he needs to apologise for.

MyDogClive · 18/08/2026 07:57

Not only is it getting circular, but the summer silly season in the media will end shortly and H&M’s manifestations will slip down the news agenda. Investigations of Sentebale, Invictus and white pill gate meanwhile have the potential to run. I’m not selling my popcorn shares just yet.

I think the he DM have been holding back until the costs hearing. Especially if it goes their way, which I really think (and hope) it will - then they’ll unleash the dogs.

Ratherhaveacupofteaandabiscuit · 18/08/2026 08:51

If only there was an interview where H&M or even just H was actually asked pertinent questions about their actions which have led to where we are now but of course they never agree to anything except one sided PR pieces.

Thank god he was the second son or we might have had this dimwit on the throne instead of William.

Ditto Charles and AMW.

This in itself is the single biggest argument against hereditary monarchy.
To quote Forrest Gump “… you never know what you are going to get”

Starryfifty · 18/08/2026 09:21

September shenanigans will start soon. Don't think Meg and hamlets are coming though. We would have heard.

True @MrsLeonFarrell H&M increasingly resemble a couple of oozlum birds.

They haven't yet disappeared up their own backsides.

But we live in hope.

Craig Ferguson clearly found her boring. It was painful.

Coincidentally I’m half way through his autobiography. I’d remembered him as a comedian way back and knew he’d done a chat show in LA. So far it’s a very engaging book and he’s had quite a life - addict and alcoholic, teenage drummer in a band with Peter Capaldi, Edinburgh festival, lived with Helen Atkinson-Wood for 5 years, relationship with Fiona Fullerton, driven to rehab by friend Jimmy Mulville which he in turn recommended to friend Peter Cooke (too late). Based on what I’ve read so far I can’t imagine he found Meghan remotely interesting, wonder if she’ll merit a mention?

I remember him as a comedian in Scotland in the early 80s and his stage name was Bing Hitler (I think). He was very funny and his chat show was very good but I don’t think even Graham Norton could make an interview with MM interesting.

Agree completely. Most of the public are also indifferent to H&M’s day-to-day shenanigans - unlike those of us on these boards who enjoy the soap drama. But that doesn’t mean that the public wont be outraged to learn of pillgate and H&M’s bullying and exploitation of charities. During the MP’s expenses scandal, the press highlighted details such as duck islands and moats to increase public anger and I can’t help thinking that Harry’s financial loss to the Mail group will turn out to have a lesser impact on him than the stories that will be published.

Of course, H could still be protected by his father and the MIGS, if he cooperates. Which brings us to the Meghan factor. Interesting times.

Spot on once again, MrsLF, and this is why I wondered if Harry's trying for a wear 'em down process whereby they'll get so sick of these repetitions tat they'll give him what he wants

Must be exhausting for Megan though; if she really does want to sabotage any such notion it'll soon become a full time job Hmm

I think CF saw M as a pointless, manufactured product out of LA after their opening exchange.

This is a woman who thinks that saying ‘be kind’ is global thought leadership, wearing clothes makes her a fashion guru and getting on a plane is international collaboration.

Remember Balenciaga: ‘for key moments on the world stage’. Remember Harry wanting to interview Putin and the Pope. Absolute fucking fantasists, the pair of them.
