Are the bets on or off for an invite to Balmoral?
Will Meghan bake a humble pie for Catherine?
Let’s discuss……!

It will all end in tears
I continue to follow H and M’s antics not just because it’s like a car crash, but because I wonder how it will end up. H must have financial worries. There’s no way there’s enough cash in the pot to furnish that lifestyle for the rest of their lives. H has no real purpose in life, apart from his children. His days must be very free. His relationship with his brother seems irrevocably broken down. He must realise he will be completely frozen out when W is king. I can’t imagine what direction he can take next.

I definitely think KC is bank rolling him. Does H get an income from Better up where is supposedly Chief Impact Officer 🙄

Do you believe H thinks that far ahead ?
He criticised Charles when he was heir and moved on to William when KC became Monarch
Who next ? George?
Talking of George I read that H has concerns about G going to Eton !

He absolutely does not think ahead. He's unbelievably stupid. He proceeded with OW when PP was dying. He would have been advised not to. KC has cancer. Not to sound grim but he's on borrowed time

Starryfifty · 17/08/2026 18:32

Also, PH has said he would like his children to have the option to be working royals. Surely he must know this would be under his brother's reign ?

Harry will always be part of the family, and no doubt will always have a home if he needs it, but I'm not really sure in what way the King could helpfully exert himself at the moment, and still keep the monarchy safely separated from the Sussex drama.

Despite his behaviour, Harry is an adult with agency (and a reasonable amount of resources).

I think KC could with his legal team explain the precarious position h has put himself in. Followed up with documentation for h to take to his legal team (ds) so he is in no doubt what lies ahead if he carries on in his destruction.
They could offer him a way forward with iron clad NDA's and annual review of his behaviour before his annual allowance is paid. A bit like the amw deal. Take it or leave it, behave or be cut off. Many wealthy families deal with loose cannons this way, most ne'er do wells when faced with no money get back in line. He can live quietly near his ne'er do well uncle away from public view and Xbox to his hearts content.
Same with m behave or stand on your own 2 feet, she will never go quietly and is stupid enough to fight back believing she can win.

Personally if the chips were down I can see h leaving her and the children without a look back. He would be happy not to have to worry about money, mortgage, utilities etc ever again. It shut down AMW and the duke of Windsor.

However I fear he is addicted to not only drugs and booze but also the drama, the cameras, being worshipped by the little people and admired by the rich and famous (in his delusions)

Pandering to these 2 jumped up D Listers is making it worse because they think one more push to win it all. Hardball and reality is what is needed, I fear KC doesn't have the balls for it.

I love that M was made to wait outside while H saw his father first.

I did some hunting around this, because no-one could tell me where it came from when it first began to be posted here. Clearly the palace wouldn't have said so, and I couldn't see it being the kind of thing H&M would leak (if it was true, M would find it too humiliating).

It was first suggested (as sheer speculation) on The Rest is PR podcast on 13th July. It has gone round the internet as a rumour since then.

I saw it first on Neil Sean ... and he is mates with Tom Parker Bowles....

47 minutes is a very specific number 😂

Also, working Royals need to be trained within the system and be part of the system. They also need to live in the UK! L and A are American kids, brought up in America. Its a ludicrous idea.

And if the supposed favourite son, AMW, couldn’t persuade his mother to allow B and E to be working Royals Harry has no chance !

He wants to go back to being the boss's son with all the associated perks.

I think Meghan will have been shown straight through to the terrace, where tea and cakes awaited, children in tow. She will have happily gone in front of Harry not realising the trap was set. Harry diverted to the inner sanctum to meet with Charles before Meghan was even aware he wasn't there.

Lucky the weather was obliging - it gives new meaning to being "shut outside".

Charles should offer to send Camilla in his place.

She'd tell him to do one 'cos she's got birthday plans

The games seems like a crazy waste of money...and it's shocking to think that charity funds were used for things like five star accommodation for HaM. I am surprised that no journalist seems to have done a deep dive into it.

I think DM is playing the long game. For this and the white pill story!

well I desperately hope so anyway!!

AutumnCrowsMusings · 17/08/2026 19:55

I’ve had a look at the Chairman of the Board of Invictus today, Lord Allen of Kensington, ie Charles from Lanarkshire, who self-declares as having left school at 17, and is now a Labour peer.

(Doreen Lawrence, Harry’s co-signatory to the statement damning the integrity of HM High Court, is also a Labour peer co-incidentally.)

Charles Allen was appointed to Chair Invictus following the ‘Freedom Flight’, in 2020.

What is it with Harry and Labour and the Lib Dems and Hugh Grant?

Starryfifty · 17/08/2026 20:23

I think AMW is smarter than PH and that's a low bar! AMW may have been dragged kicking and screaming but he knows to keep his mouth shut and his head down. PH just never ever learns. He assumes he'll be bailed out by KC then KW

CathyorClaire · 17/08/2026 20:25

If KC3 does not extend himself to rein in his wayward second son, H's life after KC3 has gone will be miserable indeed.

I don't think it will be.

While ex-top dog E8 was supposedly constantly bleating for funds, enough was furnished to afford him a pretty opulent lifestyle abroad.

MW might consider his life 'miserable' now but he's still very well looked after.

W's foolish in some ways but I don't think leaving his brother to freeze on the streets will be one of them.

IMHO, I suspect it is because H is not too bright so he can be used to advance whatever cause Labour/Lib Dems/Hugh Grant want to push.

It is funny written like that.

But no, I don't think he did think about the reality.

Anti establishment. Although H doesn't realise he is basically an Establishment stick of rock.

Starryfifty · 17/08/2026 21:11

H plans to be in UK every couple of months. What about his job as "full time Dad" ??

If H does have concern about George going to Eton, that concern could be based on his own experience. By all accounts, he didn't sit the entrance exam and was admitted solely because of his family - and it's well known he didn't excel academically. Being bottom of the class can't have been a bundle of fun.

HoldMyWine · 17/08/2026 21:16

Does this mean that every few months we will have the drama of will he / won’t he stay at BP? Will he / won’t he see KC.
I am so bored of it now.

SqueakyDinosaur · 17/08/2026 21:21

Invictus really need to rein him in, if not get rid of him. The actual games, as opposed to the ridiculous circus around him and M, seem barely relevant and very poorly attended.

And I do wonder if anyone has really thought through bringing IDF veterans to a city whose council is not only broke but has some pretty hardline Islamists within it, including a couple who ran on a Gaza slate rather than anything to do with local politics. I would assume in normal circs that discussions would be very much underway about risk management, security, etc.

It keeps everyone talking about him. What's his reason for coming over, apart from letting everyone know he's still a member of the RF ?

He sat and passed the entrance exam, albeit having had an extra year at his prop school after his mother died.
He was apparently keen to go to Eton himself.

Why is he concerned about a nephew he has no relationship with?
