Are the bets on or off for an invite to Balmoral?
Will Meghan bake a humble pie for Catherine?
Let’s discuss……!

Humiliated and sidelined are intolerable feelings for a narc.

I'm amazed H didn't kick off over his love left outside

ExOptimist · 17/08/2026 13:27

Visited Highgrove gardens over the weekend, in the entrance area there were various paintings by Charles and several family photos. It was clear that the photos had been chosen to show William and Harry and wives as absolutely equal.
Photo of H&M on their wedding day, photo of W&C at some family event, photo of Charles with H &W either side etc. No photos of, for example, just Charles, William and George.

Looks like the poll attached to the Daily Express article is pretty conclusive.

Don't think that's a good message tbh. W&C have never put a foot wrong yet those two grifters cause nothing but havoc

BigWillyLittleTodger · 17/08/2026 13:46

Thank goodness it’s in a newspaper that will actually be on his breakfast table.

It's part of being still a "much loved family member", as the late Queen put it. It's also a good way of deflecting criticism, can you imagine the articles if the photos weren't even? The very fact that they are careful to do this in public areas indicates that the RF know who they are dealing with and know what they are doing in PR terms.

It shows how much those malicious racism allegations must have stung and how they were perceived as damaging.

Maybe Charles and the family don't won't to pay off Sentebale. Maybe they want it to come out that HaM are hypocrites.

Indeed , remember tantrum when their photo wasn’t visible during the late Queen’s Christmas message? . Think it was only HM , C and W and possibly George ?

SqueakyDinosaur · 17/08/2026 14:37

Oh, it was worse, IIRC. It was her father; her and Prince P; her, Charles, William and George.

Mylovelygreendress · 17/08/2026 14:45

So , no Edward , Anne etc but HAM still felt slighted ?

It was specifically those in the direct line of succession. If ever we needed proof, the HAMS outrage was further proof that they just do not understand, or want to understand the nature of monarchy and their place in it.

Thanks @bluegreygreen Father , daughter , son , grandson & great grandson is a bit of a hint as to what she was getting at there. Move along , no hissy fits required here. 😊

bluegreygreen · 17/08/2026 15:15

This author says the Sussex photo was removed when they decided to stay in Canada for Christmas. No idea how true that is.

https://archive.is/tTTDe

They went to Canada for Thanksgiving just after their South Africa tour, when they did the documentary and talked about things being difficult. They decided to have an extended break and stay over Christmas.

bluegreygreen · 17/08/2026 15:18

Yes, @BasiliskStare, I think the message is continuity of monarchy in face of whatever is coming.

I suspect she foresaw that there was a lot of trouble coming from H&M, and missing that Christmas after the complaints on camera in S Africa was just the beginning.

If KC3 does not extend himself to rein in his wayward second son, H's life after KC3 has gone will be miserable indeed. KW5 will hold Lancaster. George will hold Cornwall. And H will have nowhere to turn to shield him from his foolishness.

What has H done during his six years of freedom aside from having tantrums and displaying petulance and spite? H has built absolutely nothing despite ample resources and multiple opportunities.

Can you imagine a sixty-year-old man trying to flog the 50th anniversary of Diana's death to fund his lifestyle?

IMHO, it will all end in tears.

bluegreygreen · 17/08/2026 15:52

Harry will always be part of the family, and no doubt will always have a home if he needs it, but I'm not really sure in what way the King could helpfully exert himself at the moment, and still keep the monarchy safely separated from the Sussex drama.

Despite his behaviour, Harry is an adult with agency (and a reasonable amount of resources).

I don't think ham consider the future. KC won't be a very long reign. HAM leaking about the wales eating humble pie and HAM are coming back whether they like it or not isn't helping them. If H isn't careful, he won't even have a bed when Meg spits him out

I do agree with your first sentence. HaM do not consider the future.

IMHO, KC3 as H's parent and knowing his second son's intellectual deficits, needs to think of H's future. KC3's current strategy of enabling H is not helping H in the long run. It seems that KC3 is more concerned about today's optics for his reign than H's long-term outcome under the reign of KW5.

Given H's malice towards William, William has walked away and rightfully so. But in losing William, H arguably lost the one person who really looked out for him.

H's future looks grim indeed...but that is just my opinion.

At the time it was said to be a picture of the Queen, the next in line and the next in line. I recall it being mentioned.

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the photos. Charles oversees everything in the gardens so I'm pretty sure he would have had a say in what photos are shown. There's no chance whatsoever that H&M could complain about being shown as lesser in any way.

JSMill · 17/08/2026 18:14

It will all end in tears
I continue to follow H and M’s antics not just because it’s like a car crash, but because I wonder how it will end up. H must have financial worries. There’s no way there’s enough cash in the pot to furnish that lifestyle for the rest of their lives. H has no real purpose in life, apart from his children. His days must be very free. His relationship with his brother seems irrevocably broken down. He must realise he will be completely frozen out when W is king. I can’t imagine what direction he can take next.
