Are the bets on or off for an invite to Balmoral?
Will Meghan bake a humble pie for Catherine?
Let’s discuss……!

IMHO, Sophie Chandauka should settle her case in the UK if it is best for the charity and I expect that she will.

I would be delighted if she then took a flight to Florida and filed a $500 million dollar defamation lawsuit. Let HaM try their antics in a justice system that doesn't care who H's "Pa" is!

A source close to Harry said: “The template for his visits has been working well, so the frequency of trips will increase, especially in the run-up to Invictus which he’s determined to make the best games yet. So he’ll be coming back and forth a lot more, every few months.

This is the same Harry who told Oprah that he hates the UK so much he'd feel a panic attack coming on as his plane descends into London?

Yes it is. The hypocrisy is off the scale. I really hope KC does not attend Ingruftus or perhaps sends AMW instead

ShamedBySiri · 16/08/2026 13:40

AMW! That would be so funny. I mean he does have the war veteran credentials….😂

I'm very proud of my idea 😅 it could be all part of the RF trying to rehabilitate AMW 😀😀

Did he actually tell Oprah that? I only saw a few clips of the interview.

It's probably the reason he is trying to get his "freedom flight" videos removed from the internet ....

... good luck with that 🙄

I'd not seen that - and wish I hadn't. Harry and handsome don't fit in the same sentence, but honestly - in that clip he looks unwashed and homeless, and very, very ordinary.

SqueakyDinosaur · 16/08/2026 15:19

And with Wallace and Gromit teeth.

I agree - what on earth made H think that was a good idea? Well, apart from the 100m good reasons I suppose.

I think the problem for H is that apart from being KC's 2nd son he is very ordinary. & there's nothing wrong with that. But it doesn't help when you are trying, with your wife, to become billionaires.

Yes, I see what you mean. Ordinary in terms of brainpower, charisma, looks, abilities, everything. Just ... very ordinary. The only thing that isn't ordinary about him is who his father is. But even within the line of succession, the law of succession places him as being fairly ordinary, because he wasn't born first and isn't likely to get any higher.

He does however have an extraordinary sense of entitlement.

Judging by Meghan tittering in the background “Freedom Flight” was an in joke between the two of them by then. He may have been stupid enough to post it but they were both very much on board with him doing so.

It wasn't the interview in the garden with MM present. It was (I think) called The Me You Don't See, or something like that. Just him and OW talking about his mental health.

If I was the Mail I’d be seeking out other women PH has pulled the pill trick on and run a whole story on it.

ME TOO! It’s abusive. And really nasty.

AutumnCrowsMusings · 16/08/2026 15:53

And he came out with a lot of stuff in that pay-per-view interview with Gabor Maté. From some promotional flannel of that time (March 2023): 'Harry explained that stepping away from his official royal role and moving across the Atlantic was not a casual choice, but an act of survival. He felt that remaining within the traditional UK royal structure would have led to his psychological ruin. He credited therapy with giving him the clarity to see that he needed to extract himself and his family from that environment.'

It's all about the money, isn't it? He wants Pa to pay his ANL and Sentebale bills.

A relationship isn't meeting for an hour in a formal situation every few months.

Quite. I was thinking about the quote from the palace source after his brief visit last year about how the visit was a cup of tea and a slice of cake not the Treaty of Versailles.
The treaty of Versailles/WW1 is an interesting comparison to make to the Harry/RF

My2cents1975 · 16/08/2026 16:34

IMHO, the "private" relationship KC3 wants with H will never happen. There will always be three in that relationship, KC3, H and H's PR.

Dontevenlookatme · 16/08/2026 17:10

Building back a relationship with H is going to be very tricky and require some delicate handling. It’s impossible for Charles to have a relationship with H and DGC without MM. She can’t just be conveniently forgotten and anyway she wouldn’t allow that to happen. If Charles wants reconciliation with H and to know his grandchildren, MM comes as part of the package. I pity the courtier who has to negotiate that minefield.

Starryfifty · 16/08/2026 17:53

The RF will always have the huge sore that is Meg but I really can't see how they can have her in any working RF role

Mylovelygreendress · 16/08/2026 17:53

Whilst I am sure KC loves all his DGC is he really prepared to damage his relationship with the Wales , the Edinburghs and Anne by bringing H and M back into the fold ?
He is the Monarch not just a father/ grandfather and he will know how betrayed many people in the U.K. feel .
I have a friend who is not allowed to see 2 of her grandchildren which distresses her ( due to a money issue) but she has 3 other DGC who she enjoys a close loving relationship with so has had to accept the situation.
I suspect KC feels the same .

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 16/08/2026 17:54

The thing is, Harry could always have had the sort of relationship he will likely end up having - a Zara type relationship.

Pa can pay the big bills discreetly (school fees and some private security), they can make some coy royal-adjacent content off the side, and they can make occasional appearances at family-type events.

Except now they'll be doing it waaaaaay on the back foot. If they'd gone slow and cautious, they would have had less security hoohaa, greater adjacency, and could have built a real brand off the back of it. There was literally no purpose to the past six years, and I doubt it will have added anything to their coffers. They are most likely net negative for the past few years.

I think I said on an early thread that there were playing a very short-term and reactive strategy. And now they've played all their hands and found themselves on the back foot.

They were both just too emotional and entitled not to flounce. If the life wasn't for them, fine. They've just shown zero skill at building a life for themselves.

Starryfifty · 16/08/2026 18:04

I was listening to Carol Malone. She's spot on. HAM are not learners. They do not take advice from people smarter than them and never will. They will totally destroy the monarchy if they are let have any role whatsoever

Mylovelygreendress · 16/08/2026 18:10

“The thing is, Harry could always have had the sort of relationship he will likely end up having - a Zara type relationship.”

The thing is @TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis that’s not what H and M want . They want to be at the centre of things especially Meghan hence the problems 6/7 years ago .

bluegreygreen · 16/08/2026 18:11

Talking of Zara - she's just won the British Open Championship in eventing, 20 years after her last championship win
