What more summer shenanigans await us from the Montecito duo?

OK so I checked the Emmy rules and it seems that the rules changed in 2022 to categorise by genre and not by production budget / production values / time of day first screened / intended audience / high-end guests & tie-ins. Yet ‘Primetime’ still includes shitty reality shows and those endless singing competitions with minor celebrity judges etc etc so that doesn’t make much sense.

Meanwhile, I am reminded that Meg has been previously involved in a ‘real’ Primetime Emmy nomination before: the Oprah interview, in 2021. Oh dear, why did that televisual triumph disappear?

Disagree. Holding anyone to account who has the privilege of a huge global platform with a policy agenda that they monetise for personal gain, in order to observe and comment that their words are meeting their actions is not bullying.

However impacting, persistently and consistently so many employees trying to scratch a living that some have had to resort to professional help to alleviate the mental injury inflicted is bullying as reported by many witnesses and victims.

Being entertained at the absurd pantomime of content served up almost daily from the delusional fools is pure comedy gold. I actually can’t believe they do this for free and at the same time inadvertently directly line the pockets of the press they hate and are also unable to generate a revenue stream for themselves with the PR they generate. You couldn’t make it up.

Except the disappointment you expressed was that there was no new content to see and ridicule. That's different from being disappointed there was no new information about their actions to analyse, criticise or hold them to account. Those are two very different motivations.

Dear thread,
MNHQ has brought back the ‘truncation feature’. <Sigh>

drivinmecrazy · 16/07/2026 15:01

Are we going to see in the future MM announcing herself to an empty room as ‘Megan Duchess of Sussex Emmy nominee’?
i read somewhere that she had ‘politely’ turned down an invitation to the Emmys shortly after her marriage.
So gracious, we should welcome her back because the spirit of her generosity and graciousness is just what we are missing

I have taken the username “TemuSussex” but apparently I have to use the same username as my first post on this thread so I can’t use it yet (when did that rule happen?) Next thread then!

Just popping on to say it’s not a new thing but you’d only notice if you tried to change username mid thread. I got trapped with an unloved username for months because I kept forgetting to switch to my new one. I quite like having a different username for the royal threads because some people are a bit demented and start advance searching posters, but it wasn’t working, I kept forgetting to keep up with the admin!

HAM have very short memories. Wonder what cocktail of drugs the fox will be on that night?

Mylovelygreendress · 16/07/2026 15:19

Catching up after another day looking after grandchildren . Second week of the school holidays and I am knackered !!
Anyway , Hilary Rose ( Times) is brilliant 😂

binkie163 · 16/07/2026 13:36

Not sure if I read it on here or a news article. The award she has been entered into is not just for filler daytime TV but sponsored by Purina dog food...... brilliant.
Maybe they will market her dog biscuits 😂
If this is wrong I apologise but it gave me a huge chuckle.

Is it this specific award or category that is sponsored by Purina or is it a show which also nominated that is sponsored?

The simple fact that nobody knows if they are still here/back in California shows that they do have the ability to come and go without drama.
They create the drama themselves then complain about it.
There were no crowds to greet Harry at the events which his ‘spokesperson’ had announced well in advance he was going to. People don’t care enough anymore to turn out to see them because we all know he is not a working royal, he is not a member of the royal family he is simply a member of the Mountbatten Windsor family.
He is the past, not the present or the future and so people are not bothered.
He has no relevance in the UK anymore.

Some photos popped up in my feed of the event in Birmingham - wheelchair rugby? - and it looked completely dead other than a few officials/volunteers watching.

Didn't Harry ditch the event to launch the IG train as well? I read somewhere it was because they refused to clear and close down the station for Harry. Has anyone else heard this?

Harry doesn't attract crowds these days - apart from journalists covering the ANL case.

Harry ditched the IG train event because of security 🤔

Which lost to Stanley Tucci's "In Search of Italy". Rightly so.

Please, please let the actual Emmy award look like this.

"The Wizard of Paws" is in its seventh season!

mommaham · 16/07/2026 16:23

Wasn't Meghan's show just on Netflix so streaming ? Not a scheduled one on a network?

Well they must of have alot of feedback about long posts to have introduced it, there were people making those same comments on the previous thread so a welcome change for them, they no longer see long posts unless they click see more 😀 but as with any change some people like it some people don't

It looks like Purina just produced the movie to me.

BTW, they are a massive pet food company. I bet they make guinea pig food.

Thanks.

I think that Charles is separating his roles as monarch and father in his dealings with Harry. Is a difficult balance with someone a unpredictable as Harry is but he's doing his best to stick to the original statement. The Sussexes are much loved members of the family and not part of the monarchy. It comes with him making it clear that Harry has made his life aboard and the statements that the palace don't comment on private family matters.

The press love to blur the line but it's quite clear in palace communications. Harry saw his Dad, not the monarch. The monarch refuses to be drawn into Harry's security arguments. The monarch won't allow a Palace to be used as a backdrop for Harry's whinging.

I think the line is clear but also too subtle for a lot of social media commentators. Hence the cries for Charles to speak up on matters that as monarch he can't comment on.

Ultimately I believe that the future of Harry's relationship with his family depends on whether he can keep quiet about the Highgrove tea. It's been clear since he left the monarchy that he is the biggest leaker, if he leaks this meeting I suspect he is going to find it hard to persuade the King to spend much time with him in future.

Fabulous post.

In short everybody hates it, except for quotes and hilariously the MimsnetHQ post telling us how great it is was itself too long and got click me'd.

If they keep it I will ask one of my DS's who's a bit of a genius to make a browser extension to zap it. V annoying how they invent crap stuff no-one asked for and tell us how useful it is. It's like a bloody LinkedIn post.
