What more summer shenanigans await us from the Montecito duo?

I also feel a bit sorry for Meghan as her husband is the biggest tool in the tool box. But she must have known that before she married him. If ever he becomes King Henry then the country will become a Republic faster than you can say “‘ere, where did all those damn guillotines go?”

Criticism of the outburst against the court. Former lord chancellors brand Harry’s judge attack ‘unacceptable’

https://www.thetimes.com/article/43c6a1d1-ad7e-4d03-a11d-0a5281c77fda?shareToken=3ecde474c64cf41fd08426cf634a81d7

Thank you for the share.

Baroness Lawrence needs to be reported to the House of Lords ethics committee for this attack on the judiciary, as I am pretty sure this is a breach of the standards of that chamber.

At the risk of sounding like a stuck record, I am flabbergasted that KC responded to this attack on his judiciary by granting Harry an audience. It would have been the final nail in the coffin.

Well I see the new joiners induction thread is now in hiding. Didn’t take long.

I missed all of this. I'm trying to read between the lines here. Are we not allowed to say h***s? I can't get the asterisks in 😂

We could have done with you Cathy! And @Puzzledandpissedoff on the now hidden thread that turned into an excuse to bad mouth those critical of ham !
apparently republicans aren’t allowed to post!! 🙄

But I’m your pet mild-mannered republican on this board!

Have I got to leave now, with my hat and coat waiting for me in the hallway … 😕

Maybe a little honestly i wouldn't blame them while harry was working himself into a frenzy about how unsafe it all was they were showing faith in the UK being safe

I think it just perfectly emphasises how ridiculous the Sussexes behaviour and demands are. Well done to them!

Reading that piece just makes me so Ashamed of Harry.
Hes stupid but thinks he is intelligent-it’s a terrible combination.
I think the MiGs must have been stupendous to keep the real Harry hidden - or maybe the real side only came out after he married.
He was born into a position of such privilege- yet he has no respect for the country, its people, our history & culture and the monarchy. Ultimate top level entitlement.
I think he is an utter fuckwit and I cannot bear him. He makes my skin crawl.

I agree.
He’s incapable of seeing how he comes across to the general public.
He’s an embarrassment to his family and the UK.
The only good thing is that at least no one’s under any illusion about how unpleasant he is.

Times really going for it. Hilary Rose is superbly funny.

Wtf is he doubling down on his statement?

KC needs to act IMO.

PinkHairbrushClub · Yesterday 06:44

I skipped the end of the last thread. It was painful!

What do you call those of us who are sort of republican in that I don’t think we should have a monarchy in modern times as the idea of someone being born better than everyone else is nonsense, but don’t really like the alternative because we know our country would bugger it all up spectacularly and I actually quite like W&K and the kids. Maybe a “republican’t”?

Thanks for the times articles. H’s comments on the judgement ar so misjudged. I know everything else compounds it but that single action is such a clear demonstration of how he is fuelled by anger and little else. For someone born into such privilege he is so very bitter.

I agree with others, it’s an highly unattractive trait.

You can self nominate.....

But her production team were really good and deserve recognition

SheinSussex · Yesterday 06:50

I thought it was a nice show! But where was the accompanying book with the recipes and sections on flower arranging and present wrapping?

Strawberriesandcaviar · Yesterday 06:51

That Hilary Rose piece is hilarious

Great name! I wonder if TemuSussex is taken?

Strawberriesandcaviar · Yesterday 06:55

I have taken the username “TemuSussex” but apparently I have to use the same username as my first post on this thread so I can’t use it yet (when did that rule happen?) Next thread then!

All 80 of them, which makes this nomination in some random segment of the daytime Emmy’s’ even more funny !

That is new, possibly a good idea if done right, though it might mean you'd be cut off from threads you were on if you changed your name.

Mumsnethq seems to have a bad habit of introducing changes secretly then waffling about them afterwards. Or maybe it's in site stuff, but that stupid "show more" feature wasn't.

I love the photo of M trying to emote empathy. She is a terrible actress.

Indianrollerbird · Yesterday 07:34

Can we all please say nominated for a Daytime Emmy? It’s the equivalent of a nomination for something like Cash in the Attic . It’s an absolute fail on the part of Netflix that this is the best they could get for such a high budget, high profile production.

😁 no autumn! , unfortunately you know they don’t acknowledge or listen to anything those of us they have labelled as” haterz” say!! , I’m still labelled as a royalist despite telling them I’m not countless times over the years!!
besides you can’t leave! I need you!

Somehow I missed that whole thread, jeff ... I'd ask you to link it out of interest, but see it's gone so guess it's one I'll just have to wonder about!!

I'm hoping that Charles's actions are more of a long game - Royal PR always is.

Take the short term victory of meeting HAM on their terms, and at some point in the near future, make a statement/appearance in support of the court system.

Harry is very reactive, and fanning the flames by KC clapping back won't necessarily help. TBH, I think the MIGS and press favours are still working for Harry. Let's be honest, if a journalist who knew him very briefly can whack out a string of allegations, they will have a goldmine.

I think Harry doesn't realise that his attempt at laying the cards on the table in Spare didn't work, because there's so much shitty behaviour that he doesn't realise is shitty. And I think the Palace probably want HAM to succeed quietly.

MrsLeonFarrell · Yesterday 09:10

I think that Charles is separating his roles as monarch and father in his dealings with Harry. Is a difficult balance with someone a unpredictable as Harry is but he's doing his best to stick to the original statement. The Sussexes are much loved members of the family and not part of the monarchy. It comes with him making it clear that Harry has made his life aboard and the statements that the palace don't comment on private family matters.

The press love to blur the line but it's quite clear in palace communications. Harry saw his Dad, not the monarch. The monarch refuses to be drawn into Harry's security arguments. The monarch won't allow a Palace to be used as a backdrop for Harry's whinging.

I think the line is clear but also too subtle for a lot of social media commentators. Hence the cries for Charles to speak up on matters that as monarch he can't comment on.

Ultimately I believe that the future of Harry's relationship with his family depends on whether he can keep quiet about the Highgrove tea. It's been clear since he left the monarchy that he is the biggest leaker, if he leaks this meeting I suspect he is going to find it hard to persuade the King to spend much time with him in future.
