What more summer shenanigans await us from the Montecito duo?

Does any one think HAM might change their PR approach of leaking and then counter leaking to their own leaks. Or will we just continue get more of this drivel with a few (paid for) gongs thrown in for good measure. It’s all a bit obvious now.

Not2identifying · Today 18:30

@AtIusvue Good summary. Don't you think, though, that it would be totally uncharacteristic for HAM to leak that they know America isn't interested in them? They've displayed no self-awareness to date.

Mylovelygreendress · Today 18:30

Harry ( and possibly Meghan ) thought that the RF would beg them to return . They seemed to have believed they were the stars , the reformers etc and much more interesting than dull William and Catherine ( not that I consider them dull).
When they didn’t get what they wanted , they lashed out . The RF refused to engage and here we are .
Far from living their best lives as their supporters insisted - check threads from 2020 onwards- they are now desperate to return to the Royal fold .
KC clearly loves his son but he has to separate that from his duty as Monarch .
And William will never agree .
More PR spin from the Sussex camp.

AtIusvue · Today 18:32

It’s like he’s trying to convince himself and us, that visiting the UK and staying in Royal accommodation means that’s he’s got what he wanted- half in/half out.
No one thinks that’s what half in/half out means.

That would have meant that he could keep his royal patronages, go to official royal occasions/state occasions as royal…..while being able to earn money independently.

Staying in the spare room at BP doesn’t mean he’s achieved that.

But keep trying Harry/Liam 👏

heatdome · Today 18:33

I didn’t see the shenanigans on the other thread but just wanted to add that, like others, I dip in and out of these threads. In the beginning I actually used to defend them 🤦‍♀️. I never really paid close attention to the royals, like most of the population I just thought that’s nice, she seems switched on blah blah. Over time the scales have fallen from my eyes. If I’m being honest in some ways I wish I’d realised sooner as I’ve been missing out on the snark and entertainment. I’ve been listening to the first Tom Bower book and I’ve just been thinking how do you live like this? The endless, endless, endless drama.

H still considers himself a working royal. I'm not sure if he's so thick, he didn't take it all in at the Sandringham summit or it's just his way of grifting. That will not change. He has said he would like his children to have the option to be working royals. How can he think this is possible? His brother will be monarch then.

I do think only way around this for PW in the future is remove the titles.

Prince/King William will just send a "no, don't be ridiculous" message via the MIG if Archibald or Elizabeth ever get in touch.

One was a shit programme, one wasn’t. That’s why.

Why aren’t you honing in on male versus female? Or British versus American? Or billionaire versus married to a millionaire? Why biracial versus white?

Bringing up "man vs. woman" or "British vs. American" is a total red herring. Industry entry fees are a flat, standard administrative cost across Hollywood. The fee doesn't change based on your gender, and a standard entry fee is the exact same amount regardless of your wealth.

The facts remain: Eugene Levy’s show paid the exact same fee, yet no one used that fee to claim he "bought" his nomination. Using a standard administrative process to discredit a biracial woman, while completely ignoring it for a white man, is a textbook double standard. You can't hide that bias behind a critique of the show's quality.

Starryfifty · Today 18:35

TheHatTrick · Today 18:29

Thank you. So they promised not to leak or friend but now “sources” close to them are leaking and briefing. They FaceTime with Charles all the time? I kind of doubt it. We would have already heard because it’s not possible for them to keep anything to themselves.

Now, that's some spin. I thought AB was more PW than PH? I don't believe for a minute h misses the UK. He's living it up in Monteshithow. He wants half in half out. Basically creaming off his RF adjacency.

I do agree with Alison that basically it's up to William. However H has said publicly he has no regrets

PullTheBricksDown · Today 18:37

It seems that a return to the UK is being contemplated in some form and that the couple’s holiday home in Portugal will be used as a staging post back to Britain.
I’m told there are two key reasons for this.
A friend of Prince Harry says: ‘There is definitely a feeling in his camp that he has started to feel a bit unwelcome in America.
‘That has been an increasing and significant shift in sentiment, a feeling that the American dream might not be all that it was cracked up to be.
‘I am told that this is coming from Meghan as well as from him. I hear that Meghan is all for rekindling with and reconnecting with Harry’s English side. She is fully behind it.’

That 'a bit unwelcome' part: is that a signal that his visa renewal isn't going to be straightforward? That's my thought anyway. This is preparation for them having to move on from the USA. Portugal will be where Megan hangs out while Harry is reconnecting with Dad's bank account

HungryHippu · Today 18:39

What more can he blab now though ?? Would anyone listen ?? We didn't really get much the last time. Lip gloss and dog bowls.

He hinted heavily that he's left a lot out that would be quite explosive .

Starryfifty · Today 18:40

Wish the RF press would announce that KC has never face timed his grandchildren

Serenster · Today 18:40

I’m sorry, but are you saying that the only difference between Eugene Levy’s show and Meghan’s show is the presenters’ sex and ethnicity?

Never thought about the visa thing but that makes sense.

Also maybe they need to sell their house . What about the poor kids and their schools?

So the awards are given on the basis of who's involved with the show, not whether the show itself is any good? Is that what you're saying?

I just don't think this 'it's all about race' interpretation is credible, since it's been said so often - as already mentioned - that the show was widely criticised as being just not very good. Outlets previously sympathetic to Meghan and Harry concurred in this. And when awards are concerned, 'a critique of the shows quality' isn't a red herring. It should be the main claim to their award worthy status.

You're entitled to hold whatever opinion you want about this, of course, but this is my view and we'll have to agree to disagree.

Not2identifying · Today 18:46

Visa thing = I reckon there has been special treatment but that the USA won't pursue that because they're the ones that gave special treatment so there's no benefit to them in disclosing it.

Most likely, H didn't declare drug use and the US authorities have given special treatment by not following up on the drug use and the inaccurate info declared.

Or, he did declare it and they gave special treatment by ignoring it.

To add to this though
I’m sure a lot has been left out of the public domain concerning Harry’s behaviour

Charlotte Griffiths told us about the white pill and hinted there was more she was keeping to herself
Harry hasn’t gone after her which he would normally do so I’m sure she has worse to tell

I shouldn’t have bothered. This is giving me déjà vu, this nonsense pretzel “logic” and deliberate misconstruing of what was written in order to contort oneself into promoting one’s own agenda. It’s like 5 years ago on this board. Now just as then I’ve wasted precious time trying to understand how on earth someone can say something so patently logically flawed and with an apparent straight face. My own fault, I suppose. Just going to leave the room again, shouting “IT’S BECAUSE ONE PROGRAMME WAS SO SHIT IT COULDN’T POSSIBLY HAVE EARNED THE NOMINATION ON MERIT, AND THE OTHER ONE WASN’ T AND THEREFORE COULD HAVE EARNED IT ON MERIT”. ‘K bye.

What happened with his A level art?

Harry needed 2 A-levels to get into Sandhurst

He had already dropped one of three after a year of sixth form as too difficult (Art History) so needed to pass the other two Geography and Art.

Staff were under pressure to get him to pass but Harry couldn't or wouldn't do the written work for Art. So a teacher was put under pressure to give him a lot of help to pass (she says she wrote his written work) and he got a B ... and a D in Geography

All this would have remained a secret if Eton's Head of Art hadn't sacked her to give his girlfriend her job. So it all came out at an employment tribunal that the teacher won. The judge was careful to provide a Harry friendly judgement along the lines of having not been presented with evidence of cheating but Harry had been given a lot of "help"

These days Harry's grades would not have been enough - you need 72 UCAS points whereas Harry had 64.

Prince Harry was helped to cheat in exam, says ex-teacher

Former teachers of Prince Harry at Eton College helped him cheat in his A-level art course because he was such a weak student, a tribunal was told yesterday.

I think it’s more realistic Netflix paid for the daytime Emmy nomination for MMs show to get publicity for Netflix, small spend, lots of clicks. Because it was not good tv, it was god awful. But then it’s a daytime Emmy so not all that prestigious.

Eugene Levy’s work isn’t comparable, it’s a whole different league of TV production and development. His programming getting a prime time Emmy award nomination comes as no surprise.

Her being biracial and him being Jewish has no bearing whatsoever on the difference in sheer talent and it’s disingenuous to suggest otherwise.

Yes but HAM don't learn. Another book would be absolutely catastrophic for them. They would absolutely be stripped of all titles and absolutely no chance he will have a bed when she spits him out. If KC didn't act, PW most certainly will

Didn't Harry say a few months ago that he wanted his kids to be educated in the UK? Perhaps this has been in the planning a while

Not2identifying · Today 18:57

@Starryfifty I agree with you that another tell all book would be a disaster but they weren't stripped of titles after the first one so I see no reason to believe they'd be stripped after another one.
