god knows what he’s going to be like in ten years time.

Quoting myself here, but giving this more thought, it’s highly likely William will be King and Catherine Queen, George will be a 23 year old heir to the throne, all the attention will be on the Wales family, far more than it is now, he is bitter and jealous as it is, how will he cope?

Yes but Archie will almost old enough to decide whether or not he wants to be a working Royal !!

Alas, I see him back in UK alone but still banging on about his life of service

I see "Full time dad" has been spotted at an awards show in New York without Meghan. Does he ever actually spend time at home? Every time I read him, he's either in a completely different city or country to the one he lives in.

Apologies if this has been posted!

And apparently received a rapturous, warm welcome 🙄

Right….I saw we had some new joiners on the previous thread so I’m just going to set my stall out…

I was pleased when HAM started dating and more so when they announced their engagement.

I hoped they would be happy together and welcomed the diversity M brought to the RF through both her heritage, country of birth and career experience.

I would term myself a reluctant monarchist in the sense I am uncomfortable with the principle of power and huge wealth through birthright, but don’t value the alternative of an elected Head of State and can see how the Royal Allure brings benefits to the UK both financially and diplomatically.

I say this because I’m not “big” on royal traditions per se and some protocols rather silly and archaic.

As such I was happy to see M giving birth to A on her terms and doing away with the standing outside the hospital for a photocall. Likewise wearing whatever nail polish she liked and not wearing nude tights if she didn’t want to.

I didn’t care about the baby shower in NYC and for the record, yes I think some of the responses to her in MSM and especially SM had racist undertones and some overt racism.

I make this clear because some posters seem to want to create a narrative that posters all hate HAM and always have.

I don’t hate either of them. Why would I? I don’t know them personally nor do I the emotional energy to expand that level of response to a couple of celebrities.

So why am I here? Well I dip in and out. I can go months where HAM don’t cross my thoughts at all. But when they do, it’s because of something they have chosen to make public.

In the last 5 years it would have been nice (if only for a change of pace) to have something positive to respond to and if they did do something “good” (without the self severing undercurrent that’s pervasive presently) I’d be happy to acknowledge it.

The pair of them started to lose me was at the Bradbury interview in front of the orphanage. What about meeee…

Really? I mean really…..there’s a time and a place for self pity and not recognising that was not it.

But everyone deserves a second chance right?

So I stayed open minded until the HIHO manifesto.

Leaving the RF - fine. Good luck (well meant).

Leaving the RF while expecting to keep all perks and ditch the “service” - not fine.

Then from that point on it’s been one thing after another, Oprah, Spare, Interviews, documentaries all leveraging the platform provided by H’s birth status whist slagging off the institutions and country that provided it.

Their M.O. is now utterly predictable. Throw a poorly aimed grenade at the RF/UK govt/Courts and sob like toddlers when they inevitably get hit with the shrapnel of their own latest offensive.

I don’t judge them as people - but I do judge their actions and believe I have an absolute right to do so when their behaviours cost the British taxpayer money or their allegations represent a reputational smear on British institutions and culture.

If they decided to live privately or make a living that did not involve grifting of their titles I’d not give either of them another thought.

I'm just catching up and this pretty much word to word EXACTLY how I feel too. Great post!

H does look puffy and bedraggled but do we actually know that he's still playing with illicit substances and partaking of too much alcohol or are we guessing? I wouldn't have thought he gets much freedom at home to party but it would explain why he's been on on a tight leash in the past.

I don't think Meghan looks well either. She used to glow. She looks drawn and too thin these days.

I do think this is money worries, carrying a useless feckless husband with a predilection for litigation, children who are growing up and developing problems of their own (friendship, schoolwork, sport, the usual primary school stuff) and more money worries. The past 6 years will definitely have put a strain on her nerves.

Did he admit in spare that he still uses? His behaviour and appearance in public looks very like he's high / strung out

I imagine she's also seeing her well of invitations run dry, while 'H' still has doors opened to him and awards given because of who he is. That's got to hurt.

They could turn it around. Sell up and move somewhere quiet peaceful and enjoy their children but they are both addicted to publicity and grift

All the evidence is there!

During the evening in New York City—which honored the titans of sports—Harry reportedly told the photographers at the red carpet they were the “most polite” he’d come across in his many years in the spotligh

god that man drives me mad! He just can’t help himself!

Starryfifty · Yesterday 14:29

Meghan looks very strained too but I think it's too many procedures. She's a naturally beautiful woman so it's such a shame

A very flattering (edited?) photo as he seems to have more hair than others taken at the same event. In fact he looks pretty dishevelled and much older than 41!

But her show has received an Emmy nomination and she's got films in the works. Sime with potential. And he is her partner. Why would she hurt. Am sure she is cheeeing him on

FallenNight · Yesterday 14:53

I'm not sure that some of the comments on Harry's looks are a bit of wishful thinking. He isn't polished for sure. But I am not sure he looks that rough or much older than his years. A lot of you must spend time with very attractive well presented folks.

Yes I remember when H brought her to the Invictus games in Toronto and she had a very envious glow about her. I always imagined she smelled really nice. I know that sounds weird! I do agree sometimes recently she has looked tired.

Yes but Archie will almost old enough to decide whether or not he wants to be a working Royal !!
Deluded . As ever .

He’s such a fool, not one grandchild of the HLMTQ is, or will be a working royal and if he thinks King William is suddenly going to expand the working royals and draft the American Hamlets in to cut ribbons he’s going to be severely disappointed.

Apart from William and Harry of course.

I wonder if Haz is finally realising that his wife is not an asset to him, she's deeply unpopular and disliked in this country,

I doubt it. He seems to live in a complete bubble most of the time. I think it's in Betrayal that Sophie Chandauka did a brand audit on him and Sentebale and shared the (not positive) results with him - his reaction was shock, disbelief and anger.

I do. My DH is fit, trim, good looking and a very polite man who would never talk about changing rooms in public.

Really deluded.

The days when being somewhere in the LoS meant automatic working royal status are over.

Of the Queen's grandchildren - only William remains as a working royal. Harry cannot seem to grasp that after his exit from the rf he joins his cousins Beatrice, Eugenie, Peter, Zara, Louise and James and their children as non-working royals. Harry himself will tumble down down the LoS in the next 20 years or so when the Wales' kids start having families.

I wonder if , given the little bubble he encounters when he does his IG , WellChild things , H realises ( in polls re the RF ) how deeply unpopular he is in this country.
