Well @Mylovelygreendress - given the show hasn't even aired , why not just keep the clapback for later - unless of course you want to bring attention to the "royalty " thing whilst coyly saying you don't want it. - best of both worlds really .

They really are cards aren't they - the pair of them 😂

“Insiders” “ Sources” - that article amounted to no more than rumor and gossip. To be included in the ‘news’ section tells us something about the standards of that paper.

I think people pull away from her and she is forcing herself close to them or she is rubbing on/scenting them like a cat pissing on stuff ewwww 🤢🤮

This is a revolting post. Do you feel this way about other women Binkie, or do you just like to dehumanize Meghan in particular?

LazyMay · Yesterday 03:06

Anyway, my point was that she is wearing smaller brands not because she wants to promote less well-known designers, but because none of the more prestigious fashion houses want to get involved with her.

(Edited to make more clear this is a response to Iced Purple -I ‘lost’ the quote)

Could you link to your proof that she is not offered clothing by ‘the more prestigious fashion houses’ and that they don’t want ‘to be involved with her’ please, or is it just a theory of yours?

She’d be wearing them if she was.

Yes. Why would she NOT wear them? She’s worn fabulous couture in the past.

That's when it was generously funded by the Bank of Pa. I wonder what happened to all that bespoke couture?

A spokesman for the French fashion house said there have been no contract negotiations or recent contact with the Duchess of Sussex.

I'm sniggering a little at the way in which you'e acting as though this is an academic discourse, rather than gossip about someone who wiggles her bum for likes on Instagram.

But since you ask, no, I don't have 'proof' that prestigious designers don't want to work with said bum wiggler. It's not like they'd go on record about such matters. So yes, it is just a 'theory of mine' that someone who wore custom couture at every opportunity as a royal is not promoting minor designers as an active choice.

Jellybelly80 · Yesterday 08:50

Meghan took to couture like a duck to water and given her great liking for the visible trappings of wealth and position there’s absolutely no way she wouldn’t be wearing it now if she could get it for free or as part of a ‘face of’ arrangement.

To suggest otherwise is laughable - unless she’s wearing it in the Wendy house with Lili when playing hoosies with her.

TheDellsYoursongNsoul · Yesterday 08:54

Playing hoosies..it's been a long time since I've heard that.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

"Wiggles her bum for likes on instagram'
🤣🤣🤣

If it only were wiggling as opposed to grinding, opening her legs and getting dirrrrrty 🙄

It's because high end designers stay schtum that we'll never know what happened over the hideous wedding outfits, @IcedPurple - which is a shame in some ways - but I recall saying at the time of the "wiggling" that she could say goodbye to any more favours from them

Even an idiot would realise it's simply not the image they wish to convey, and on that basis alone I still wonder what led her to do it

JSMill · Yesterday 10:28

I still can’t believe how much she spent on couture during her short spell in the RF. Wasn’t there a red Dior dress that cost something like £90 000?

Charles spent it! Yes, custom Dior, Givenchy and Stella McCartney doesn't come cheap.

ShamedBySiri · Yesterday 10:37

I remember being stunned by the dress she wore for her official engagement photo costing £50,000.
Diana went to Harrods and chose something off the shelf, don't remember the price but it would have been hundreds not thousands. Ditto the dress Catherine wore.
I think that was probably the first red flag - here comes trouble.

Catherine's engagement dress cost £385. Incredibly cheap if you count it as "per picture sold around the world".

Just a desperate attention grab, she knew it would go viral, probably had a few drinks/puffs of something, got the giggles and pressed send.
Poor business skills.

I think her chances of a collaboration with a high end designer were slim even before the labour room 'dancing' video but I agree that it put an end to whatever possibilities might still have existed.

No prestige couture house wants their brand associated with someone squatting and pulling her skirt up in a hospital room. Can't imagine why.

And Catherine looked beautiful IMO. Meghan did too without doubt, but the cost was certainly eye watering!

And gorgeous wedding dresses both. I lovd Camilla's embroidered coat also. I saw in in the flesh (so to speak) at the V&A. It was TINY, Camilla must have the teeniest waist!

That twerking video was a dreadful idea. As always, never thinking of the long game
