Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow was the special guest at a Besties event, run by Henderson (left) and Gemma O'Neill, back in 2023 – and Meghan is now rumoured to follow in her footsteps. Picture: Supplied
While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

Of course not!! 🙄
I’m afraid I’m disagreeing with posters who think maintaining silence is the way to go!
previously I wholeheartedly agreed but it’s not working!
it’s getting worse and despite the negative feedback those in charge are not taking notice!

Well quite. Nigeria was a shit show. Colombia was a shit show. Canada (twice) shit show. Ukraine, Jordan. Has it stopped them? No it hasn't. Has it stopped the press covering them like touring royals? No it hasn't. The press are absolutely delighted this is happening, especially the republican press.

I watched an interview with Matt Wilkinson. He has "heard" that RF want the pair of grifters back as working royals!

Hopefully that's just the Sun being provocative, trying to goad a juicy statement out of maybe William.

Of course! Plus similar minded MPs and news presenters.

Is this the first time out of all their faux royal tours that they have combined royalling with their pay per view ventures? I think it is, if so they are blatantly flouting the Sandringham agreement, this visit is the epitome of half in half out, I don’t buy the narrative the Palace can’t do anything, next they will be announcing a full tour of the Commonwealth Countries, visiting hospitals and military sites with a side of get your photo taken with the Duke and Duchess for £50.

Yes, she's already merching her (allegedly freebie) clothes which is what she wanted to do all along i.e. get paid for being in Australia.

And Harry delivered it to her because 'she's so hot' and he's a nasty piece of work.

Yes, it's patently nonsense. Just goady
In H&M's fever dreams, they imagine that the RF want them back.

Should the gov also be making statements about Beatrice or Eugenie's business activities or trips abroad?

They also have royal titles, which they sometimes use for commercial purposes.

Like I say, official 'statements' about these two gives them an importance they don't merit.

Normally I agree but for whatever reason these countries still treat h and m differently and facilitate this behaviour!
after the last tour Harry managed to make a diplomatic cockup that insulted both Palestine and Israel! , the reports referred to him as …the uks prince Harry when it was reported!
you know full well that the York sisters have never been in the same position or working royals, no idea what they have to do with this !
but yes if they start doing full faux royal tours of commonwealth countries with their husbands and inspecting the military and everything else h and m do , then a statement would indeed be needed!

Their titles should have been removed once they started their own commercial ventures using their titles. The whole set up of titles and using titles for commercial ventures needs to stop whoever is doing it then there would be no need for statements from anyone, the whole current set up is a murky, dodgy, grifty mess and it needs disinfecting pronto.

Dear god, the Israel - Palestine conflict.
Fools rush in.

There are last minute final final tickets available for the meet Meg event if anyone is at a loose end .

I hate to say when I expressed my concern about the tour and subsequent behaviour, I was told I was overreacting but even I didn’t think Harry would be quite so stupid! 🤷‍♀️

That's actually a new low in dangerous stupidity.
I'd be amazed if he could identify them on a map, tbh.

Hmm well yes but apparently there are some very last minute tickets due to “ movement “ 🤷‍♀️

Noodledog · 14/04/2026 14:17

Could someone explain why the hospital are allowing their child patients to be exploited like this? It really makes no sense to me.

TheAutumnCrow · 14/04/2026 14:17

jeffgoldblum · 14/04/2026 13:26

Harry and Meghan are obviously a bit forgetful! Clearly a reminder is needed!
especially as it seems purely coincidental that it started and seems to be getting progressively worse since the queen died!

Which suggests that Harry - who can be a shrewd operator when it's in his own interests to be - has good reason to be believe that King Charles is a soft touch as far as he, Harry, is concerned.

And frankly I am sick to the back teeth of the Head of State of this country (and others) being a bloody soft touch with his abhorrently behaved son.

Of course! Plus similar minded MPs and news presenters.

Since the papers always have to issue their little reminders of the past every time they cover these two, wouldn't it be nice if there was a line included stating that the king made it clear, in an official statement in 2026, that H&M were not representing the RF on any of their tours, engagements or commercial engagements, current or future.

Chainlinkferry · 14/04/2026 14:19

jeffgoldblum · 14/04/2026 13:07

What has parliament got to do with Charles releasing a fairly easy statement clarifying the actual truth and circumstances!
harry and Meghan are not working royals, they do not represent the U.K. or monarchy in any form !
this is already known by the majority.

also parliament wouldn’t be asked to put out any statement!
do you have any knowledge at all about how the monarchy, the government or parliament works?

Edited

It is you who does not seem to understand the role or powers of the King. We have a constitutional monarchy - the King is a non-political head of state. He cannot make statements about who does or does not represent the government and the UK. Official tours by the RF are only ever at the request of the government, it is therefore for the government to make clear that individuals do not represent the UK.

MrsLeonFarrell · 14/04/2026 14:19

As people have said I doubt a RF statement would achieve anything. Australia Harry believes service is universal and he has lived a life of service since birth. I don't think anything can pierce his ego.

But if the record needs correcting for those outside Sussex Towers I believe it would need better coming from the Government, who order official Royal tours, rather than The Palace. They just need to make it clear this is nothing to do with them.

I do agree that the Sussexes should be removed from the Royal Family website, limit that to working royals only and being a little more clarity.

Ultimately though there is nothing anyone can do to stop them doing this if organisations are prepared to host them. The only power the Government have is to make it crystal clear that they represent themselves alone.

Could that be all the journalists they've expelled from the event? Or people with a keen sense of smell? "Due to movement" sounds like bodily functions - quite unfortunate given the pooballs.

OctopusFriend · 14/04/2026 14:22

I just don't know why the Australian government are putting up with these shysters.
What are the military chiefs thinking?
"Next year we'll get Joey Essex to inspect the troops" ?.
Bizarre.

Harry left publicly he doesn’t work for the government or the rf !
the queen issued a statement at the time, when it comes to Harry unless Charles wants parliament to remove titles , he is purely the kings son and nothing more !
do you not know that?

Having a child in hospital is very stressful so it is highly likely the parents weren’t thinking straight .
