Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

Tbh I’m happy to hear they are going anywhere as long as it isn’t the UK.

I find these “tours” Harry and Meghan take to be rather pretentious. They make sure everyone knows in advance where they will be and invite media attention—the same media they have condemned and said they would replace with grassroots media. At the same time, there are constant leaks to journalists like Victoria Ward and others. They even reportedly have a WhatsApp group with their favored journalists. It’s a bit hypocritical to complain about the royal family doing this and then turn around and do the same thing yourselves.
T
hey also criticize the royal family while still using their titles and even giving their children royal titles. It’s becoming increasingly ridiculous. If they truly wanted to distance themselves from the monarchy, they could simply stop using those titles.

In my opinion, King Charles III should step in and remove the titles and styles from royals who are no longer carrying out duties for the Crown. Otherwise, the situation just creates confusion.

Most people who don’t follow royal matters closely will still assume Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, are representing the monarchy when they travel and appear at events. That reflects on the royal family whether they like it or not.

Their recent trip to Jordan is a good example. Look at what happened after Harry’s interview—a minister from that country reacted negatively to it. The mainstream media largely ignored it, so it received very little attention.

That’s exactly why clearer boundaries are needed.

Got to flog those jars of jam.

Australia is welcome to the grifting whingers. Everything they do is a self-serving, ego-boosting, vacant, publicity-seeking stunt. She just wants her photo on a few more front pages… as ever.

Tigger1895 · 07/03/2026 19:45

Maybe you should just ignore them

bluegreygreen · 07/03/2026 20:35

Yes, they first announced in November that they planned to visit Australia next year, shortly after the Australian Prime Minister had visited the King and Prince William in Balmoral (September) and officially invited the Wales family.

The date is surprisingly similar to the kings proposed visit to the US , I assume that’s a coincidence.

Maybe people and the media should stop calling them tours. Feel free ro provide a quote where they themselves say they are going on a tour or whats the other word used quasi royal tour?

The article you shared said they are gling as private citizens and its related to their business activities and philanthropy work. They are allowed to travel to other countries to do this just like many other famous people do.

You say They even reportedly have a WhatsApp group with their favored journalists ...reportedly? As in you know this for a fact otherwise if its jidt conjecture, speculation rumour then you cant call them hypocrites until you know it for a fact.

You say..hey also criticize the royal family while still using their titles and even giving their children royal titles. It’s becoming increasingly ridiculous

As have many other members who have someone books etc. So they arent the only ones who have criticised the institution or members od the family. Charles for example ...dont you think that is also ridiculous.

You say In my opinion, King Charles III should step in and remove the titles and styles from royals who are no longer carrying out duties for the Crown

Well Harry is born a Prince how do you suppose that should be taken away? If he is no longer a prince then anyone can be a prince right...therefore anyone can be a king or queen, bloodline no longer matters...great lets get a vote going on who would represent the monarchy better and it cna be anyone in that case.

You say Look at what happened after Harry’s interview—a minister from that country reacted negatively to it

They dont control what ministers do. That minister should of known better and sinxe it hardly got reported whats the big deal then

ThePerfectWeekender · 08/03/2026 02:34

What's the sell by date on all that jam fruit spread she has stockpiled?
I don't know anyone that would pay to see her speak, let alone if it was free. Do they believe Aussies want this? I'm surprised there's an appetite for their hypocritical victim narrative, I may be wide of the mark though.

StartupRepair · 08/03/2026 02:44

When they came to Australia before, they were newly married and crowds turned out to see them from curiosity and legacy affection for Harry. I think they misinterpreted that it was a tribute to their innate amazingness.
Hope my fellow Australians stay away in droves this time. They certainly won't get near to Government House to bully the servants this time.

Lostsadandconfused · 08/03/2026 03:02

Please no, we don’t want them.

FancyNewt · 08/03/2026 03:32

For two people who didn't want to be 'working' royals they sure do behave like they wish to be exactly that.. They'll be wearing matching tiaras next doing the royal wave out of their car window.

The accusations of the bullying Australian staff at Government House was unsubstantiated social media gossip. And actually not possible in reality.

Even the ‘location’ mentioned isn’t correct as Harry and Meghan didn’t actually stay in Government House, they stayed in the Governor General’s residence which is Admiralty House. Meghan wasn’t anywhere near Government House then, either. If Meghan bullied Government House staff she had to do it from the other side of the Harbour.

StartupRepair · 08/03/2026 06:01

Yes I meant Admiralty House.

Well said. I'm surprised she's willing to risk the booing. It's not going to go well.

QueefofSheena · 08/03/2026 06:18

Struggling to see why it’s anyone else ‘s business. The vitriol these two attract is pathetic

As long as Australians don't have to pay anything they can knock themselves out.

Booing for what exactly? With the world as it is... the revelations on the Epstein files, the royal family sleaze, war raging in the middle East... do you think people keep a little bit of hatred in their hearts for H&M?

And if H&M are so irrelevant do you think all those indignant people will care enough to find out about the tour venues, travel and turn up in time just to boo?

I suppose they could try to provide a bit less material for people to work with.

pilates · 08/03/2026 06:56

Why do they have to announce it to the world? Why not just go on holiday like normal people.

Andrew's no longer a prince. He's no longer anything. His titles seemed to have gone pretty easily so there's no reason Harry's can't. Probably for the best if they do go. Better for those two poor American kids of his anyway.

Tontostitis · 08/03/2026 07:07

pilates · 08/03/2026 06:56

Why do they have to announce it to the world? Why not just go on holiday like normal people.

Because, despite slagging off the Royal Family, they only earn from being thought of as Royal. So, still desperate for the half in half out they touted all those tears ago they cosplay real Royals with quasi Royal tours. The stupid thing is they will always be Royal or Royal adjacent. Harry will always be Diana and Charles' son. This quasi Royal touring stuff and repeatedly embarrassing them selves with misinformed comments like reopening aid corridors that aren't closed and inappropriate dressing in Nigeria is more likely to lose them the titles than just staying in the US working on their projects and holidaying like normal people. These tours could possibly just be about their strong philanthropic beliefs but they look like grift. Jam flogging or charity fund rinsing and too many people think they are grifters and charlatans for them to successful slide back into Royal duties.

The thread is a discussion about an upcoming publicity tour. H&M want people to discuss them…that’s the literal point of publicity!

Agree. The media calling them trips and not tours would be a good start.
