Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow was the special guest at a Besties event, run by Henderson (left) and Gemma O'Neill, back in 2023 – and Meghan is now rumoured to follow in her footsteps. Picture: Supplied
While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

Indeed! They think KC is soft. Or they don't care.

Or indeed both.

Any idea how much? I shouldn't be on here at the moment, let alone googling non work related stuff 😂

This is of the.more expensive providers at LHR:

How much does it cost?

"Costs start from £4,060 (including VAT) for up to three travellers per service (arrival, departure or connection). Prices increase depending on group size...."

The expressions of the two dads in this selfie speak volumes! Even if I'd consented for my sick child to meet H & M, I would have been horrified to see them take this shot, with all the children (presumably many who are immunocompromised) squashed in together for PR purposes.

If anyone should make a statement, it should probably be the government. The RF only undertake tours at their request. I think if I remember rightly the government have already done this when they went to Nigeria? I agree with those who say that a statement from the RF would only be more grist to their mill. Over explaining is the Sussexes speciality and I think they are just making themselves look more desperate

I agree. Any announcement from RF just re enforces that they are Royal Adjacent - even if it’s negative.

The RF should not get in their way - because H&M have done enough in their first morning there for it all to blowback in their faces. Let it all play out.

There will be plenty of negative coverage of them exploiting ill children for their own PR, for not masking up coming directly after a LH flight to immunocompromised children, to exposing vulnerable teenagers with MH issues to global media, for diverting and disrupting healthcare resources - just to blatantly sell dresses on commission.

Enough here to sink a ship - the Australian media are not pro Royal or pro H&M.

And this is only their first of many engagements.

The RF should stand right back from this shit storm and let nature take its course.

Just like he did in Nigeria. Is that on the itinerary for regular Aussie tourists too?

I'm planning to go to Australia next year – I'll try to squeeze in inspecting the military after climbing Ayres Rock.

Of course not!! 🙄
I’m afraid I’m disagreeing with posters who think maintaining silence is the way to go!
previously I wholeheartedly agreed but it’s not working!
it’s getting worse and despite the negative feedback those in charge are not taking notice!

Oh for heaven's sake, he can issue a statement that they do not represent the RF for this or any future tour. They are already poncing about like working royals and getting masses of press coverage - importance that they don't deserve. A firm and final statement on their lack of royal backing is what is needed, along with their removal off the royal website. Charles is too much of a coward to take their titles, so he'll leave that to his eldest to deal with, no doubt.

Who actually believes that they are representing the Monarchy?

If anyone still thinks they are, after so many years, whiny intervews, 'tell all' books and so on, they're hardly going to sit up and take notice of a mere 'statement'.

Does anyone know of any other non working royal (and their partner) do these types of multi day, multi event "tours"? Is it unique to H&M?

There are sadly a lot of people in this country and others that don’t follow or understand what has happened ( or care probably) , what seems obvious to us is not always as clear for others! , don’t forget we still have posters who think Harry has no security in the U.K. at all!
and believe everything on the Oprah interview and Netflix and spare despite the fact that most of it has been debunked! 🤷‍♀️

They do the disaster tourism a lot, the intensity is increasing, criticism is like water off a ducks back.

Right.

So they're hardly going to pay much attention to a dry BP press release.

Believe it or not, the vast majority of the world's population don't spent their time following the antics of H&M. So a "Prince" and "Duchess" doing all the things royals do on tours are are just British royals to them. But how about a bit of reassurance for those of us who have continued supporting this shit show of a monarch, and see H&M as a massive and constant undermining exercise?

I was rather hoping it would be the government and heads of these countries that would be taking notice of the statement!
we the little people are unfortunately not in the position to affect this.

Dizzierblonde · 14/04/2026 13:59

I think the grey rock approach is the only one available at the moment (publicly at least). Any statement would have M&H screaming their victimhood to anyone who would listen. It adds fuel to their desire to be the underdogs and the RF would suffer because M&H would have another 3+ months of material to mine to create their royal content, and remind people of how hard done to they are.

Charles is a total soft touch when it comes to Harry. He will never do anything to remove titles etc, as he likely thinks there's a way back for Harry into the Firm (there isn't, not whilst Megan is married to him and not whilst William has a say in these matters). I also think that this is why we have seen a fair bit of negative content about William in recent weeks and months. KC is not happy with his eldest wielding any kind of influence stopping him from, and is trying to have his eldest slightly pushed down by Charles-loyal publications. Harry knows that it'll be the end of the road when his father dies, as W won't hesitate to point out that what M&H are doing was expressly forbidden by QEII when they stopped being working royals. W wants to modernise - which I think will be a more Euro Monarchy type thing - fewer vast unused palaces, far fewer classed as working royals (still plenty of money obvs!), but will be lower key than once was.

Should the gov also be making statements about Beatrice or Eugenie's business activities or trips abroad?

They also have royal titles, which they sometimes use for commercial purposes.

Like I say, official 'statements' about these two gives them an importance they don't merit.
