Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow was the special guest at a Besties event, run by Henderson (left) and Gemma O'Neill, back in 2023 – and Meghan is now rumoured to follow in her footsteps. Picture: Supplied
While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

Yep she did five months in prison for dodgy share selling.

This is true, but the Martha Stewart brand is still very valuable. Martha Stewart Living generated $900 million in retail sales as recently as 2021 (she was in jail between 2004-2005).

The real difference is that Martha and Gwyneth etc were innovators at the time they entered their respective markets whereas Meghan seems to jump on the bandwagon to copy them but past the peak just as the public are moving onto the next thing.

If you look back at 2020 when they left the RF she had so many options as everyone was at home and bored during lockdown and she had huge contracts thrown at her. Podcasting was really big - but she blew the Spotify contract as it took 2½ years to complete, (with a staff of 25) the Archetypes podcast by which time everyone was headed back to work and podcasts were not the way to easy money anymore.

A big part of the problem is that they seem to flail around with no clear objectives. They don't seem to want to entertain their audiences. Most of their productions seem to fall into three main categories. Merching products - through WLM. Worthy by dull educating/lecturing with (especially Meghan) as the "expert" - such as Archetypes, Female Founder, Heart of Invictus etc. Or Royal Victim narrative (people are bored of this now)

They could probably have made a lot more money if they had harnessed their royal connections without the victimhood and hatchet jobs against the RF. ... for example a podcast or documentary series about the days in the lives of royals (what the royals do at Christmas/ What is trooping the colour?/what goes into a royal engagement etc). Or perhaps a podcast about Meghan's impressions as an American etc etc. The problem is that their grandiose and pretentious plans fell flat and their scorched earth approach means they have no access now as they are not trusted.

I agree they missed the boat, but they also don't have the talent or the patience to create the kind business that Gwyneth or Martha did. Meghan has jumped from one thing to another in a dizzying manner since 2020. She seems to stick at nothing for more than a handful of months before she's onto the next thing. Building a great business takes time and patience, a great idea, a great team who are loyal to you and the idea, and also a dose of luck. Meghan has none of those things.

Chainlinkferry · 30/03/2026 15:23

Fundamentally their problem is a lack of talent and ability, PH in particular. Meghan has grown on me a bit, she basically ‘does what it says on the tin’ - ambitious and throwing herself at things to try and make money. Not that I would want to buy what she has tried selling so far. PH gave her a platform but also a problem. I think the biggest problem was ‘Spare’ where PH basically became a tabloid reporter, a member of the gutter press he claims to despise, selling other people’s secrets to the highest bidder.

It just looks like a bog standard conference room / function room off the lobby of a bog standard chain hotel.

Buffet-style serve-yourself meals, with an airline-type choice of chicken, fish or ‘the house salad’ for dinner.

Feedback on the microphones. Someone’s lost the password for the PowerPoint images.

One table’s seated too close to the toilet doors that keep clunking in between the flushing noises.

And there’s a smell of burning from the kitchen that you hope is toast or fish and not the recently fitted electrical circuitry that tracks up to the lights in the bedroom you’re sharing with a complete stranger.

I know we aren't allowed the response but that deserves a 😂or two.

Consider yourself in receipt of a genuine laugh. 💐.

I'd forgotten that Harry wrote that in Spare.

In [his] memoir Spare, he highlighted his first tour with his wife as a moment when - despite its successes - anxiety started to rear its head. "All across Australia," he wrote about his new wife, "she dazzled. She was so brilliant that midway through the tour I felt compelled … to warn her. 'You're doing too well, my love. You're making it look too easy. This is how everything started … with my mother.'"

Absolute paranoia if he did say that; a stupid delusional lie in his weird book if he didn't.

You're doing too well, my love. You're making it look too easy. This is how everything started … with my mother.

That's Meghan speak..

its now been revealed that George Soros’ foundation was behind the Colombia trip, they are the ones who covered the multimillion costs. I can see why they wanted to keep that a secret, his foundation is a target of Trumps administration and has long been accused of anti semitism.

Neither Harry nor Meghan have any semblance of a backbone.

can you link to what you posted - that the Soros’ foundation is accused of being antisemitic?

My quick reading revealed George Soros is a Jew, a holocaust survivor, and has been the target of antisemitism, not a perpetrator of it.

Edited to make my first sentence clearer.

Thedom · 31/03/2026 06:55

I’m not linking anything, but this is the kind of accusations levelled at him, lots of reports about it actually being conspiracy theories against him.

“Soros foundations fund a variety of bodies, including many Jewish and anti-Israeli organizations. NGO-Monitor has written a report on these donations, which vary greatly. According to the report, the Simon Wiesenthal Center received $450 from Soros while the anti-Israel Human Rights Watch received $100 million.”

I'd be really interested to know which one of them started this whole 'Meghan is just like Diana' nonsense and fear that what happened to Diana (that she died in a car crash because she wasn't wearing a seatbelt after getting into a car being driven by a drunk driver) would happen to Meghan if they didn't leave. Was it his paranoia or her manipulating him (or perhaps a bit of both?)

Starlia · 31/03/2026 09:12

I’m just thinking of the ‘near catastrophic’ car chase in New York that turned out to be anything but.

I think both of them have a very loose grip on the truth.

TheAutumnCrow · 31/03/2026 10:42

Dear oh dear. They’re all nuts. Isn’t one of them Harry’s supposed ‘stalker’?

IAmATorturedPoet · 31/03/2026 10:56

'Drumroll please! I'm so excited to share that I got a ticket to the Girls' Weekend with Meghan! Yes, I'll be inside and will make sure to bring you updates. AND I went VIP so our table gets a photo with Meghan. Let's go!'

Days later, she boasted: '21 sleeps until the Girls' Weekend Retreat. I warned you all that if I got a ticket, you'd never hear the end of it.'.

😳🤣
Anyone else now thinking of a particular episode of Alan Partridge! 😂

Chainlinkferry · 31/03/2026 11:08

If they are looking for testimonials of how you feel MM has impacted your life in order to allocate tickets then they are surely selecting for obsessives?

The "stalker" also got approved to sit near Harry and Meghan for Invictus plus IIRC she was invited on the Nigeria tour (inside the security cordon)

How does this tie in with the Harkles views on online harm? Is it ok if the harm is being done to someone you don’t like?

It is one of those irregular verbs:

I am harmed
We are oppressed
You are being justifiably critiqued

It's going to be interesting to see what happens in Australia - apparently one of the Sussex squad members who harassed Kate online is boasting of having been approved for VIP tickets

Why is the DM putting this behind a paywall? This should be circulated widely because, if this woman doesn’t have her invitation rescinded, it shows M’s true character.

The hypocrisy around their championing of online harm vs. the harm they've allowed and encouraged against Catherine is testament to the people that Meghan and Harry really are. If you judge them by their actions, rather than their empty words, they are people who have repeatedly done nothing to stop the bullying of a woman who had cancer and who had no way of responding. And now they reward one of those people with VIP tickets to a Meghan event. It says everything really.

IAmATorturedPoet · 31/03/2026 14:10

MM is so very thin skinned that she can only handle a room full of ‘fans’ who are going to massage her ego, tell her how fantastic and world changing she is and generally fuel her rampant need for attention. And for those ‘lucky’ ones who are prepared to pay top dollar she will allow you the privilege of having your photo taken with her.

She really is text book.

TheAutumnCrow · 31/03/2026 14:16

I’d bet money that all those grovelly applications for tickets are harvested and later used as ‘glowing testimonials’ and ‘tributes to Meghan’ after the event. I do hope a few journalists applied and really took the piss.

I wonder if the ticket supplicants applicants had to sign over their copyright in the small print?

bluegreygreen · 31/03/2026 14:23

I wonder what the data protection policies are.

Are the emails provided kept safe, and separate from the As ever database?

Good point. Is the data being processed in Australia (strict) or California (no idea tbh)? Interesting.

IAmATorturedPoet · 31/03/2026 14:44

I wonder if she has taken a page out of Trump’s book and the vetting procedure involves applicants having to make their SM public before they are accepted?

How insidious - " a senior Lieutenant" . 😬
