Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

I always said that. They were so shortsighted. Their ONLY USP was that they were Royals. Once they exhausted the gossip and insinuations they were done and dusted. I suspect they were possibly really SHOCKED that they have been so comprehensively grey-rocked by the RF. I think they thought they could continue on selling stories forever because they did not understand that the Royals would cold shoulder them so completely. This is why I suspect H was so furious when M was not permitted to go to the Balmoral when the Queen was dying. Because the Royals realised that would be milked for another talk show appearance and he was too goddamned thick to realise it.

I suspect she wasn’t wanted at Balmoral because she wuite rightly wasn't seen as one of the family, or a family member with enough years behind her in the family to really be seen as family.

if they haven’t an invite now in April for a summer visit

I was a bit confused by the claims in the media this weekend about Harry wanting an invitation to Sandringham this summer, when even the most casual observer knows that the King doesn't spend the summer at Sandringham - he spends it at Balmoral. He spends Christmas and New Year at Sandringham. So a bullshit story? Also, imagine the material that H&M would be able to gather from a personal invitation to a royal residence for several days. William and the King's advisors are never going to let him extend such an invitation to a couple that have shown that they will weaponise and monetise even the smallest interaction with members of the RF, so the King would be crazy to allow them to have access to any royal property.

Edited

The King spends some of July at Sandringham.

NotReadyForChristmas2025 · 31/03/2026 20:52

I'm glad the royal family did stop those visits.
i still think letting them involved in as much at the funerals
they should have allowed them to go but zero public access.
In or out.
simple
they chose out

ShamedBySiri · 31/03/2026 20:55

I was vaguely aware - Charles likes to host house parties at Sandringham from time to time, people connected to his charities or environmental stuff etc, networking or whatever. Of course this will all have been planned some time ago, and I did see something about him getting impatient with AMW spending too long at Wood Farm whilst Marsh farm is done up. He wants Wood Farm back for guests. Might have to put them up in a tiny bedroom if AMW doesn’t get a move on. So there won’t be room for Harry and family, obviously Charles won’t be cancelling guests to accommodate the prodigal son.

Harry also used it to host parties - remember when he was first with MM and had a house party at Sandringham when all his guests got schooled by MM for their non PC jokes.
I expect this is what Harry wants - lunch with Pops before he heads off to Balmoral in his helicopter, waving H&M goodbye - have a lovely week dear boy.
Leaving them with free run to poke around and photograph or film everything.
Anyway obviously there’s no chance - he doesn’t get the run of Royal residences anymore.
The cheek of him - he’d like to go there depending who’s there! 🙄😂

She had absolutely no interest in going to Balmoral when QE was alive . They were invited when Archie was a baby but declined stating A was too young for the journey but were happy to jump on a private jet to visit Elton in S France !!

Neither of them decided to visit QEII when she was very fragile in Sept 2022 - they instead were puffing themselves up at The One Young World conf in Manchester where MM was rocking the full Captain Scarlet look and referring to herself 31 times, way off remit, in a keynote speech.

Don't forget too that the Queen's death was 18 months after the Oprah interview, in which Meghan accused the RF of racism and made claims that they had done nothing to help her when she claimed she was suicidal. It was also after the filming, but not the release, of their Netflix series and the writing of 'Spare', both of which I imagine the RF were extremely nervous about.

During the period between the Queen's death and the funeral, Harry and Meghan's presence was very carefully managed and they were kept away from most family events, no doubt because of extreme nervousness about what they may overhear and then report/accuse the RF of in the American media. The Oprah interview showed the RF the lengths to which Meghan, in particular, but also Harry, were prepared to go in their smear campaign and the depths of their bitterness and vengefulness. They were treated like two unexploded bombs, which they were.

Thedom · 01/04/2026 09:59

Seems they are still pleading with people to buy tickets and bring a friend. Doesn’t sound like it is a sold out event at all.

Recklessismymiddlename · 01/04/2026 10:05

I’d say they are still unexploded bombs @zurigo

Yeah, they still have the potential to do and say things which are incredibly damaging to the RF and that's why Harry isn't going to get an invitation to Sandringham or anywhere else this summer.

Balmoral was The Queen’s private beloved home. It would have been completely inappropriate for M to besmirch that privacy & the family were grieving - why would they want to have to deal with her. Plus she’d have been sneaking around taking photos, making notes, recording, whatever she could do. If she could have got a photo of Harry’s last goodbye she’d have done it. Even Harry was kept under a tight leash. Anne met him and showed him into the Queen’s room, he wasn’t allowed to be alone with her.
W&C had left for Birkhall. I doubt the others had much to say to him.

zurigo · 01/04/2026 10:25

W&C had left for Birkhall

Catherine stayed at home with the DC. It was, I think, their first week at a new school, which gave Catherine and the RF the perfect reason for her to stay away and for them to have a cast-iron reason why Meghan wasn't invited. I suspect Catherine would've gone otherwise, as she was close to the Queen and no doubt the rest of the RF would've been very happy to have her there.

Absolutely and it was proven that that was exactly what she was doing when Omid Scobie announced MM was enroute to the death bed. She was obviously feeding him info.

They also chose to put out the ‘bombshell’ OW interview when QEII husband was on his death bed on end of life care. They knew that the family were suffering and yet PH chose to land that horrific shit on his beloved grandmother in the darkest hours of her life. He really couldn’t have chosen a worse time.

CanISeeYourLicence · 01/04/2026 11:09

And as I recall, this is why PH arrived so late in the end. He was apparently arguing with Charles about wanting MM there and the plane taking him could not take off. If i recall correctly that's one reason why William, Edward and Sophie left without him. He was holding them up.

Another person I feel for is when Sophie was tasked with riding in the funeral carriage alone with MM and I assume that none of the other Royals whose reputation she had besmirched wanted to be near her. Sophie really drew the short straw there. I imagine there was not a great deal of conversation.

Exactly. Even if in the future there is a small amount of improvement in their relationship with KC they will never be invited for holidays at Balmoral etc. There will be brief meetings with KC and him alone. W will never see them. They cannot be trusted ever. It was obvious this would be the outcome from when they started this with the OW interview.

Beggars belief that they thought MM should have been at QEs deathbed. 6 of her 8 grandchildren weren't there. Neither were relatives like Sarah Chatto. Why would she have been there even if they had of been on good terms.

Yes it's been such a shitshow by the Sussexes over the years that you tend to forget just how much shit they did show and when. Harry is such a hypocrite.

On the positive side they have shown themselves for the people they are whether it be with the RF or Meghan's family or their various business dealings. Their lies are out in the open. They have such a negative image that people will tend to think it's more whining or lying.

Exactly, corblimeyguvnr

I'm honestly not so sure they can still cause much damage now the credibility's gone, and if there were any more incendiary claims I'd have expected them to be aired by now

As said before, once it's over it's over ... the opportunities have gone along with the reputation, Harry's no longer the meal ticket he once was, and I only hope they can keep the marriage going because if not he's got a major problem as to where he and his kids will be living and seeing each other

Added to which friends of Meghan (ahem) accused the Royal Family of using Prince Phillip's health as an excuse to keep her “muzzled”.

This is in reference to a 99 year old man who'd just undergone heart surgery.

Come again, jeff ... whose convenient illness?

I was aware of course of the disgusting comments made about Catherine's cancer (including too many which HQ allowed to stand on here), but not that Philip had also been accused of faking it?
