Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow was the special guest at a Besties event, run by Henderson (left) and Gemma O'Neill, back in 2023 – and Meghan is now rumoured to follow in her footsteps. Picture: Supplied
While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

Many thanks 🙏

Thanks @Dunglowing.
For inner circle should we read H and M ?

TheAutumnCrow · 28/03/2026 18:47

I'd forgotten that Harry wrote that in Spare.

In [his] memoir Spare, he highlighted his first tour with his wife as a moment when - despite its successes - anxiety started to rear its head. "All across Australia," he wrote about his new wife, "she dazzled. She was so brilliant that midway through the tour I felt compelled … to warn her. 'You're doing too well, my love. You're making it look too easy. This is how everything started … with my mother.'"

Absolute paranoia if he did say that; a stupid delusional lie in his weird book if he didn't.

elessar · 28/03/2026 19:14

Wow, they must be really rattled for their spokesperson (or “sources”) to be coming out with such rage filled clap backs. Funnily enough, they’ve created this criticism themselves by publicising their visit - if they were just going privately for business reasons, as claimed, then there would be no need to tell the world about it.

Thedom · 28/03/2026 19:48

The wellness weekend seems to have turned into a bit of a farce, someone on reddit ‘applied’ as a prank and was offered a placemwith 48 hours to confirm due to night demand, the poster has subsequently, in the space of 12 days, received 4 or 5 emails urging them to book their place. So doesn’t appear to have been sold out so far if they are still on a ticket sales drive.

BasiliskStare · 29/03/2026 03:12

It does look like they are becoming paid speakers on the circuit. Now they may be better paid than most , but it's not turning up / doing good / philanthropy / entrepreneurship by the looks of it. I have no idea what H&M may be being paid for this tour , but thus far it's looking a bit , what Alan Partridge might call , tawdry. With the money they have I'm not sure they wouldn't be better at home rethinking. But - the oxygen of publicity etc . I think I read H is going to see some Australian military - so if he is welcome there , fair play.

But Oh @Thedom I'm still having the occasional giggle to myself at that room for Meg's Big Chat In. You can almost see the sparks coming off the carpet if you touched a metal bit on the chair . & @TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis I do agree with you , I've been to some , let's say regular conferences and some more prestigious ones. If that hotel wants to host the latter , I reckon they could have started off better .😂

Tiddlywinks63 · 29/03/2026 05:16

The photo of the venue for The Big Chat doesn’t exactly inspire exclusivity and luxury does it? It reminds me of some town hall conference room, drab and uninspiring, with a grubby carpet and stale air.

TheAutumnCrow · 29/03/2026 05:46

It just looks like a bog standard conference room / function room off the lobby of a bog standard chain hotel.

Buffet-style serve-yourself meals, with an airline-type choice of chicken, fish or ‘the house salad’ for dinner.

Feedback on the microphones. Someone’s lost the password for the PowerPoint images.

One table’s seated too close to the toilet doors that keep clunking in between the flushing noises.

And there’s a smell of burning from the kitchen that you hope is toast or fish and not the recently fitted electrical circuitry that tracks up to the lights in the bedroom you’re sharing with a complete stranger.

Is the hotel finished yet ?

Choux · 29/03/2026 10:03

Last sentence in the Mirror Article: The couple's spokesperson has confirmed that the couple will be taking part in commercial, private, and charitable events whilst they are in Australia.

While it’s not a direct quote from the spokesperson it’s interesting to note that commercial comes first in the list and charitable comes last. Is that how the spokesperson said it or did the journalist choose that order?

Also who is paying for security and policing of the events? The taxpayer or H&M? This was why Harry was trying to get back his status as a IPP so that any country he visited was obliged to pay his security costs.

No but if I had to share a double bed with a stranger I'd be glad of that get out

Yes, imagine how 'relaxing' it would be to face sharing a double bed or even a twin-bed room with a complete stranger, especially in an Australian state with gender self-ID. I don't think the organisers have quite thought this through.

Sall Grover is fighting it in court as a human rights issue for women in the Federal Court (an appeal) but she's fighting an ideological juggernaut out there.

I'm surprised none of the royal commentators online like Maureen Callaghan have picked up on this. They're taking the piss about the VIP tickets being 'twin share' but not discussing the fact that in NSW a man is a woman if he says he is, so saying you want to share the room with another woman means nothing.

Anyway I'll stop banging on about it now.

It would be great if Roxy Tickle and a few of his mates got tickets. A (very) rude awakening for women there who found themselves expected to share a bed with these men would do wonders for the cause.

No , please don’t stop ! It’s yet another thing that would put me right off attending. Imagine listening to Meg droning on about herself and the washing up liquid then finding yourself sharing a bed with a man pretending to be a woman .

Thanks! But do tell me when to shut up.

I did read that Meg's staying elsewhere - got herself a nice room in a 5* hotel down the road, so she won't be having to experience the faecal beach, the unfinished facilities and noise, and the possibility of twin-sharing with Lola LaMoonbeam who has surprisingly broad shoulders, a piercing stare and a penchant for asking, 'aren't you getting changed yet?'

Mylovelygreendress · 29/03/2026 12:19

I wonder how much time she will actually spend at the event ? I was reading that some place in Colombia where she and H were supposed to spend 15 minutes lasted 3 .

Being paid speakers is the obvious thing for them - I assumed they were already being paid to turn up places, including by charities.

They’ve become such pariahs though, very few people want anything to do with them

Speak about what ? Any RF anecdotes have probably been told and any others will be at least 6 years old! One of the unforeseen consequences of H and M flouncing off was that there stream of Royal gossip dried up .

ex-Politicians make fortunes this way long after they left government. If you were involved in some kind of scandal then all the better (with a few exceptions).

Probably another reason they want ‘in’ at Sandringham perhaps?! 🤔
