Prince Harry and Meghan’s huge Aussie plans revealed. Visit to Sydney and Melbourne in Mid-April.

EXCLUSIVE

More than seven years after then-newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan embarked on their hugely successful Aussie tour, the couple is reportedly heading back Down Under.

A source confirmed exclusively to news.com.au that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to visit Sydney and Melbourne in mid-April.

While their last trip to our shores was in an official capacity as working members of the royal family, this time around they’re travelling as private citizens – and it’s understood they’ll be focusing on activities related to their businesses and philanthropic work.

Details of their specific plans remain unclear, but it’s been rumoured that Meghan will appear as a guest on the Her Best Life podcast, which was initially launched and co-hosted by Jackie “O” Henderson and Gemma O’Neill through their “Besties” company. Earlier this year, just a couple of weeks before her high-profile and abrupt recent exit from her KIIS breakfast show, Henderson revealed that she had decided to “step away” from the venture.

It’s rumoured that Meghan will also appear as a special guest at an upcoming “Besties” event, following in the footsteps of previous VIP speaker Gwyneth Paltrow.

The actress took part in a wide-ranging Q&A with Henderson back in 2023 which attracted around 3,000 ticketholders to the ICC in Sydney’s Darling Harbour – so Meghan’s appearance could be in a similar capacity.
Despite Henderson’s recent departure from the Besties company, she hinted last month that she may return in some capacity in the future - and perhaps Meghan’s involvement could be one such occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow was the special guest at a Besties event, run by Henderson (left) and Gemma O'Neill, back in 2023 – and Meghan is now rumoured to follow in her footsteps. Picture: Supplied
While details of the couple’s itinerary are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks, it’s likely that Harry’s plans will involve Australia’s armed forces or veterans’ community, given his strong connections to both.

It’s understood he also has a number of friends locally, fostered across multiple previous visits, including during his month-long stay with the ADF at an army barracks in Darwin back in 2015.
And in his 2023 memoir, Harry gushed over his time living in Australia as a 19-year-old in 2003.
He wrote in Spare that working as a jackaroo on a farm in rural Queensland had helped him find inner peace during what were “some of the best” weeks of his life.

It’s not yet known whether the Sussexes’ children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, will join them on the trip next month or stay back at the family’s home in Montecito, California.

News.com.au understands that the royal couple’s Aussie visit has been in the works for almost a year.

What's a Global Thought Leader?

I'm a person who lives and works around the globe. I also have thoughts - pretty much daily. Some of them are even worth sharing. (Others not so much)

Am I a Global Thought Leader? Can I monetise it? Start a youtube channel?

Global Thought Leader is:

A clutch of nouns and adjectives tossed together to make a word salad by a grandiose and delusional individual, served up to gullible fools.

I'm embarrassed for them commenting on this 😬

Puzzledandpissedoff · 25/03/2026 20:20

I honestly don't know why they're bothering with a clapback on this of all subjects

If lots of Australians don't want them there I'm sure they'll be capable of making that clear - which would certainly be entertaining - and as so many have said they're just drawing attention to the issue now

Such a shame they've never learned the value of dignified silence, or dignified anything come to that

My two cents for what it’s worth is that Prince Harry has not fundamentally changed character since meeting Meghan. I think he’s always been entitled, arrogant, bitter about his status, and ignorant. But pre Meghan I think he had good counsel around him, much better PR, and people that kept the worst of his character in line.

I don’t think Meghan changed him, I think she just brought to the surface all the character faults that were already there, fed and watered his grievances and stirred his petty jealousies into a toxic pit of anger.

I completely agree with this. He was always this way imo, it was just well covered up previously.

Thedom · 25/03/2026 21:59

The Room Where It Happens.

A sneak preview of where Meghan will sit with paying fans, it is beyond bleak, many of us, I’m sure, have sat in similar nondescript and grim budget conference rooms for some work event or other.

A few sprinkles on the tables and a wickless candle here and there might elevate it a bit.

BasiliskStare · 25/03/2026 22:16

@Thedom,

I am sure they can fancy that room up a bit with table cloths and chair slip covers , table decorations etc. But - it does look like it could be repurposed quickly for the regional air-conditioning unit sales awards or the AGM of the Wheeltappers and Shunters Club 😂

ThePoshUns · 25/03/2026 22:23

It’s all getting very Alan Partridge

They are not happy about the petition!

Those comments from the 'spokesperson' is petulant and the existence of the petition clearly got under the skin.

Who do we know who responds to anything other than adoration with petulance and footstamping immaturity. I can think of 2 people.

Thedom · 26/03/2026 08:15

There have been a few of those very amateurish and sloppy retorts recently,.

I’m sure a petition of 40k signatures hurts,, but they look so puerile when they do those belligerent responses. It has to be from the Maguire guy, he has a track record of being hostile and unprofessional, but it’s a strange approach if you are trying to present a professional, emphathetic image.

They have no hope of turning the tide of dislike towards them with antagonistic statements like that at every slight ! It only serves to highlight why they are unpopular and viewed as obnoxious and out of touch.

Mylovelygreendress · 26/03/2026 08:53

Any idea how many signatures they now have ?

TheNinkyNonkyIsATardis · 26/03/2026 09:01

That's a surprisingly grim room for a supposedly plush and new hotel.

You'd think they'd have built it naturally more pleasant, even if it is for conferences.

I signed it, over 37,000.

Funny there is also one for people who don’t want As Ever products made available here.

I agree with you! When I read it, the reasoning reminded me of Prince Harry’s way of speaking. I’ve read his book and seen some interviews, and I can hear his voice in it… but surely he has a PR team to write these statements for him, otherwise it’s a waste of money to employ them?

StormyLandCloud · 26/03/2026 11:36

BlakeCarrington · 25/03/2026 21:09

I completely agree with this. He was always this way imo, it was just well covered up previously.

He’s also incredibly stupid, which just inflates all his
other character flaws because he’s too stupid to reflect or try to smarm his way out of behaviours he’s caught out on

BasiliskStare · 28/03/2026 12:52

I have to say the way Harry speaks interviews does often does annoy me. Ending sentences with "right?" as if he expects everyone to agree with what he says. That said I think he has a whole hinterland of being expected to be deferred to & hasn't adjusted to being one half of a "celebrity couple".
