Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

1000 replies

Viviennemary · 01/03/2026 08:44

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

I think king Charlie meeting bin salman recently is disgraceful. That guy killed khasoggi the Iranian reporter. Bin salman the crown prince of Saudi Arabia. Was in disgrace for this for many years. If our government asked for this meeting it is disgraceful. Bin salman is mentioned in the Epstein files. I don’t trust our king or our prime minister.

Bertiebiscuit · 02/03/2026 22:17

Such a pity we can't auction off all the royal stuff for charity - the palaces, horses, crowns, jewellery, coach, all their ill gotten gains.

Changedname9999 · 02/03/2026 22:17

To meet him in current climate is absolutely disgraceful. Look at Charles. Our king. What’s to know there??

I'd probably pay a few quid for one of their tiaras just so I could wear it round Aldi.

They are not working royals so shouldn't receive this privilege. They are also named in the epstein files and went with their mother to see him after he was refused from prison. They where adults by this time, old enough to know what he did and old enough to say no

thats assuming what he did was open knowledge, you can still be part of the elite but dont know who or what everyone truly does etc same with eg yourself could you tell me all the people you work with have no secrets or double lives even though you work daily with them ?

😯. Someone actually paid £40k for this? I wouldn't have given them a fiver for it. What on earth would you even do with it?

It was iconic in a bad way and worn by a true blood princess, I suppose. How many royal pieces of clothing historically come up for auction that have been so well documented and are representative of a specific event?

How old were the princesses at the time? I remember thinking they're just young girls and the press and entire country absolutely took the piss out of them. It seemed quite harsh.

I've never claimed to be a fashionista but I have never been able to work out what it's meant to be. It's neither a hat nor a fascinator. I can't imagine anyone could carry it off well, blood Princess or not. I know I certainly couldn't.

I think they were both in their early/mid 20s at the time. Was the press coverage worse than anyone else has been on the recieving end of, Meghan or Kate for example? I honestly don't really have any memory of it. Or even the wedding they were attending for that matter.

PorridgeEater · 02/03/2026 22:35

I'm no fan of B and E - but no fan of the rest of the royals either, for "not wanting to be photographed" with them, if that is true. Not kind to blame B and E for being brought up by their ghastly parents.

Meghan is anti Kate and thus man child Harry is now anti Kate.

Eugenie is still friendly with them both when other members of the family are not and have drawn a line after H&M’s conduct which includes calling Kate a racist and portraying her as mean and nasty.

I think this fits with Eugenie being rude to Kate in the past ie she is happy to see Kate mocked and smeared.

Harry was indeed very close to Kate pre Meghan but has happily turned his back on her much like he has dine to his brother and his father in order to pander to MM.

This is quite telling.
Are you an intimate friend of Meghan and Harry, @Wildviolet?
Is that how you know such personal information?
They told you all this?

In Ireland we say if it’s in the cat, it’s in the kitten … and with those two it’s pretty obviously true! AMW has always promoted them as ‘the only birth princesses of their generation’. And they’ve made no secret of their wish to be fully working royals … they only way those two will leave the gravy train is if they’re pushed!

Paul2023 · 02/03/2026 23:24

Princess Anne does a lot for charity and by all accounts is a good egg. She chose
for two children not to have royal titles, hence it’s just Peter and Zara Phillips. Not Prince and Princess.

Eugenie and Beatrice , have lived off the public purse all their lives and as far as im
aware do nothing in return.

Entitled just like their parents. Fergie is the same and as for Andrew, well…..

The wedding of W&K was a huge event and the criticism and mockery by the tabloids and even foreign news, very hard hitting. It seems they were quite hurt by it:

Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice gave a very rare interview to Vogue UK for its September issue, in which they touched on just how deeply the backlash to the hats they wore at Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding.

Both cried during a garden party in Buckingham Palace. “There was a horrible article that had been written about Beatrice, and she got really upset," Eugenie said, via Express. “We were just about to step out, and she had a bit of a wobble and cried. I was looking after her. And then about an hour later, I had a wobble and started crying and Bea was there for me

Exactly. One of them had 17 holidays in , I think, 2025 while supposedly being a ‘busy working mother’ according to something I read on here.

Edited

We need to find out how they paid for 17 holidays a year on an average salary at that time.
Also they cost the taxpayer huge sums of money as they had a team of protection officers with them on these holidays that Andrew insisted upon.

They’ll fit in fine in the Silver Ring.

They won't starve - they both have rich husbands and have grace and favour royal apartments as well as their own mansions!

The whole ascot / royal season needs a massive head wobble imo. It just doesn’t sit well with the rest of the work the RF do, the top hats etc are just way OTT. I do get ceremonies etc but the races is a social event and it needs modernising etc. this comes from someone who is in favour of the RM but they need to modernise. And they can have that advise for free 😬

Modernised in what way? Sponsored by Wetherspoons or something? Athleisure wear preferred?

I cant think of anything worse than Ascot or the likes of it, but why shouldnt it exist as it is for those that like it?

This ☝🏻

they really need to “read the room” and put a sock in all these massive shows of wealth. It’s ridiculous now and given the Queen (the true horse racing enthusiast) is no longer here they should just make an excuse and not attend.

I agree.
It seems to me that those with wealth/power tend to feel a strong affinity with each other because of those shared attributes. This affinity somehow blinds them to the fact that they are tyrants/psychopaths.

DaisyDooley · 03/03/2026 00:14

Ukisgaslit · 01/03/2026 10:24

I agree that William is likely a brutal person - we are constantly told how he’s in a violent rage.

But he did not do a thing about Andrew . He actively participated in the attempted rehabilitation of Andrew’s image -photographed driving him around - particularly to church - that cynical
old pr trick .
Leaks let it be known William and Kate would prefer Andrew as a neighbour to Harry . And it’s all ‘leaks’ isn’t it
Now the leaks are desperately trying to distance William from it all

“constantly told” ?? Really??
Yes I expect he does loose his temper sometimes - don’t most people?
I expect he has more pressures than the rest of us - knowing that your children are a target for every terrorist cell out there would certainly bring pressure into your life. Constantly being watched , scrutinised and lied about - yeah, I think I would be quick tempered too.
But “violent rage” - where’s the proof of that? Those words are really incendiary-have you got links to back this up with proof rather than speculation or lies?

“He did not do a thing about Andrew”. -What do you expect him to do? Hog tie him and get him on a flight to JFK.? How much would he have known -well, I suspect Andrew lied to everyone. I dont suppose William had much real interaction with him - I dont know about what my uncles do or about their sex lives. Doyou know everything your uncles do?
While most of the Andrew shit was going on William was the heir to the heir -and I think the Late Queen was very much the one in charge when it came to issues with Andrew, So again -what did you expect him todo?

Can you show any proof of how he ‘actively participated in the attempted rehabilitation of Andrew” please? Not just opinion pieces, actual events.
Re the driving -it was one journey to Church. You make it sound like he was driving him all over the place. One journey. If The Queen said ‘Andrew you can get in with William’ I hardly think William would kick off to the Queen.
He did say that he would not appear at the Garter event at Windsor in 2022 though if Andrew was there. Andrew was told he could not participate-indeed his name was still in the programme.
So William HAS tried to distance Andrew from the family.
And remember AMW had NOT at that time been questioned, arrested, charged or found guilty of a crime.
There were not “leaks letting it be known that William would prefer Andrew as a neighbour to Harry” - it was an opinion piece in the Daily Mail with Jennie Bonds own personal opinion. Click bait. My personal opinion is that William would prefer NEITHER to be his neighbour.
Spreading unverified rubbish (like you have) just makes people believe half the crap out there.

I cannot bear AMW or his wife whom I knew through a mutual hairdresser in the late 90s. Their behaviour has been disgraceful for decades. Personally I put some blame on the Queen.

William asked B & E to have their finances and investments looked at by an independent ethical financial team. They refused - considering what we know now I think this tells us a lot.
I think that they should fall on their swords and give up their titles and their grace and favour homes -for which they pay full market rent - but the whole family needs to be distanced somewhat. They are all utterly tainted by the actions of Andrew and Sarah.
From several pictures over the years it seems that Eugenie had no love for Catherine. Maybe they just didn’t gel . Foolish on their part to play the ‘blood royal’ shit though (if this is true) as ultimately Catherine will end up beimg the wife and the mother of Kings.
I think William prefers more ‘normal’ people. I think they are both close to Catherine’s family, Zara & Yorkshire Mike, and Peter Phillips all seem close to William and Catherine. Charlotte is always pictured with Mia Tindall on the Christmas walk -it’s clear they spend time together.

If Beatrice and Eugenie have any respect for their grandparents legacy and the Monarchy as a whole they really needs to think carefully about their next steps. Surely it’s better to jump than be pushed !?

(Sorry this is so long. I was pissed off when I saw the unfair slagging William was getting on a thread about the York sisters.)

Ponoka7 · 03/03/2026 00:28

@DaisyDooley William stood next to Andrew at the Duchess of Kent's funeral and had a little joke with him. He's been pictured for years not avoiding Andrew and actively engaging in conversations with him, unlike Sophie and a few others. I'd like to know why he gives interview after interview with American journalists/presenters, but isn't doing the same with UK based interviewers. He can't speak off script, that might be why. William isn't exactly calling for them to pay tax. He shut down the investigations behind his Mother's BBC interview. It was Harry who pushed for it. They all allowed the bullying of Meghan and Harry. It was because of public heckling that Charles acted. They wanted it to just go away. More questions should have been asked about Charles and Savile/Ball.

I'm sure I read ages ago that C had to curtsy to E&B as they were true blue blood, even after she was engaged to W. And AMW was very critical of her and was promoting his daughter's to C's detriment. It really is a weird bubble of a world it seems

I thought compulsory curtseying had been done away with ages ago. As indeed it should.

simpsonthecat · 03/03/2026 01:41

No. I can't remember a time I have.
Maybe decades ago. Maybe because of stresses of life which William really does not have given the number of servants he has

@DaisyDooley More pressures than the rest of us? Give me a break. I had to go to an A&E on Saturday, I'll let you fill in the gaps. And funnily enough I did sit there and think, what it would be like to be a royal and just be seen to by a Doc just like that . As for his temper I have no idea, he does look pissed off a lot of the time I will say.

I thought compulsory curtseying had been done away with ages ago. As indeed it should

Good god no. Only recently a lot of royals were stood on some steps for a funeral or something and I presume Charles & Camilla drove up. They were all bobbing up and down like a bizarre game of whack-a-mole 😅

SemiRetiredLoveGoddeess · 03/03/2026 02:08

The pair of them are not fit to clean up the horse shit even if it is Royal Ascot.

Time for them to stop living off the taxpayer.

Then there will be two less snouts in the trough.Oink, oink.
