Beatrice and Eugenie banned from Ascot

Beatrice and Eugenie have been banned from the royal box at Ascot and from royal events in the foreseeable future. That's according to a headline in the Daily Mail. A little part of me feels a bit sorry for them as they're not their parents. I don't like them much but they do seem to symbolise all that's wrong with the royals. Money and immense wealth and priviledge for very little return.

It's not like he's in line for the throne or anything like that and has to have loads of people there he doesn't particularly like.

I think the press additionally know a lot more than they’re saying, and are having it triple-checked before publication. Not looking good.

It just goes to show the massive lack of empathy and love in that family.

Any other family, if they found out that a relative had a history of sexual crimes and this became public knowledge, would surround his children with love and support, knowing how difficult what they are going through is.

As usual, anyone involved in the scandal, even if it wasn't their fault, are thrown to the wolves without a second thought from these ghouls.

I think the media are likely looking at whether Edo was paid handsomely to carry out ‘work’ on Crown Estate properties like Royal Lodge, where the money originated, and whether the work was necessary and best value.

If there IS something brewing, it’s very possible that Andrew, Sarah F and Beatrice knew.

A family grift operating out of and on the premises of the Crown Estate would not be a good look.

I saw the article had been published this morning and my first thought, like you, was that there are so many articles being published about him in the mail that they must know something about him. This one alludes heavily that he married as much for the business opportunity as for love and has facts on his company’s accounts being given a significant boost as evidence it worked.

I was surprised to see he has 60 people working for the company and he is spreading himself quite thin by operating globally necessitating regular business trips to places such as Florida and Australia. Having read about Jack’s billionaire property developer employer Michael Meldman over the last couple of days, Edo’s business sounds similar but much smaller. He has likely been away a lot over the last few post Covid years ostensibly for business but perhaps also to avoid his wife who is repeatedly described as naive and only seeing the good in people like her father and presumably her husband. There is a blind out there about one of the York husbands cheating and having fathered a child. Yet no one is writing copious articles about Jack and the state of his marriage … hmmm.

Surely they're keeping their distance because they're wary of how much the women have benefited financially from it all over the years and exactly how involved they've been. If they had agreed to have their accounts audited as requested that would have been a good start. The RF are on a hiding to nothing actually - they're dammed if they cosy up to anyone who might be complicit and yet criticised for not supporting them.

The RF are being slated for supporting Beatrice and Eugenie, it appears they are being quietly supported by the RF, and apparently Charles is very much taking care of them.

It’s the public and the media calling for them to be lose their titles, lose their homes on the Royal estates, be excluded from royal events, etc. etc, so I think you may have the wrong end of the stick there by accusing the RF of throwing them to the wolves, on the contrary, they are getting a lot of criticism for quietly supporting both of them.

Let’s not forget they have also benefited from the spoils of their parents dubious connections and friendships.

I agree, it appears the media know something about Edo and his business and they are waiting to pounce with some kind of expose, I think @TheAutumnCrow might be correct about Edo and connections to crown estate properties.

I'm not sure - I think they're dropping hints to see if anyone comes forward with more information.

I think if they had proper information they would put it out there as a full exclusive story (in case any of the other outlets scooped it).
