I've just read Thomas Markle is in hospital intensive care. He has been treated poorly by Meghan. I doubt if the pair will have anything to say about this. Though they've always plenty to say about a lot of things. Doubt they'll be rushing to his bedside.

You don’t have to use the word if what you are describing is racism. Denying Archie a title because he is mixed race could not possibly be anything other than racism, whether or not you use that word. (And whether or not your white husband then goes on tv to minimise it as unconscious bias.)

You do realise that after the queen died, Archie became grandchild of the monarch? Pretty sure he is a prince now. He wasn’t denied anything. Where have you been for the last, what, 5 years? This tripe has been debunked ages ago.

He wasn't eligible to be prince at birth as he was not at that point grandchild of a monarch.

He would have been eligible to be called by his father's secondary title but his parents elected not to do so.

I’m scratching my head trying to understand why whether Meghan contacts her father or not is any one else’s business?

This media and social media response is getting weirder and weirder every day. Soon people will want to have a look in her underwear draw. And feel like they have a right to…’because she’s a public person’. It’s nutty stuff.

It was terrible if they talked about skin colour as a ‘concern’. I remember at the time people trying to say that concern doesn’t mean it was meant in a negative way and it could have just been excitement of what the baby would look like. Concern is never positive and about excitement.

It doesn’t surprise me that Harry then at a later date tried to say it was unconscious bias. Members of his family including Harry himself had been racist previously, some on multiple occasions. He wouldn’t want to say he was racist, but he could feel better if he said that him and his grandfather and that woman with the brooch and all the other members who turned a blind eye, yeah, it was all just unconscious bias. None of them could help it. Yeah right. Racist bunch of arseholes. I wonder what Meghan really thought when she’s told a bunch of white people making racist comments, including Harry in the past, really couldn’t help it as it was just the way they were brought up. In Meghans position, I’d tell them all, including Harry, that they’ve been racist and to face up to it.

It has made me raise an eyebrow, being reported and deleted for calling out callous allegations about someone they’ve never met. Self awareness and empathy obviously in short supply.

Doesn’t sound like it from the accompanying article. Sounds like he’s very close to the female journalist and he contacted her himself. She writes about their close relationship /friendship and how she immediately dropped everything to leave America and race to his bedside. She says he’s a father figure to her.

She said at one point she contacted Tom junior to tell him about the imminent amputation and at that point Tom jr didn’t know. So the journalist told the family.

I do feel,sorry for him. God knows how he’s going to cope with a leg amputation at his age. He doesn’t appear to be the healthiest of people and I think will struggle with crutches, mobility. It’s not going to be a good time for him.

Yes lots of mixed messages. It doesn’t sound like he’s really very close to his son or other daughter , closer to a journalist! The whole family sound very dysfunctional.

The bit that gets me is that everything in their life is a mess. Did she contact him, didn’t she? Was he a terrible father, was he not? Did they say RF was racist, or didn’t they?

Why?

Because everything they do is fake, orchestrated and don’t to manipulate the media and peoples opinions of them (and everyone they dislike).

If they (she) were honest, straight and “authentic” there would be zero questions over what they say, what they mean and why they do stuff.

They have to cover up one lie with another and another and another. It must be utterly exhausting. They DEMAND the attention, but they don’t like anyone else’s narrative.

They know no one likes people who make things up all the time and try to be something they’re not. Which is why she keeps telling us she’s being authentic while trying to reinvent herself every five minutes and constantly has to try to erase bits of her past.

Yes I got the impression her people (ie her) put out the (fake) story to the papers that she was making contact with him. And would have done this purely to make herself look good/better.

I didn’t say it was true, just that what Meghan described could not be anything other than racism. (In response to someone - and Harry did the same of course - saying that they never actually used the word, as if that made it ok.) But thanks for your informative reply. This really is their biggest problem. No one trusts anything they do.

And rightly so.

The have been proven to lie and manipulate time and time again. Everything has an agenda, everything is calculated, everything is a cover up quite frankly.

Fake it til you make it. Thats the only way I can explain the ludicrous decisions they make when it comes to the press and what they’ll do for money. Because at the end of the day, it’s all about money, status and trying to outdo the RF.

Will we see a joint outing with Doria soon ? Just to ‘prove’ they have not cut off ties with everyone in their family.

How the heck will they justify this to their kids when they get older ! They are going to realise at some point both sides cut off, one for staying classy and dignified and the other for pleading and begging, what’s the common denominator here.

I think he's a narracist and how he turned her wedding day into a carnival on the world stage would be very hard to forgive. He let down so badly and that weird sister went ballistic he should have stood by her then

The journalist has clearly been keeping him close to her for years so she can be first to get any story. It’s quite sad.

I think her father and step siblings want to hurt MM, because of her treatment of them, they want the public to side with them and her to look bad. They utilise the media to play this game.

This puts MM in a difficult position because if she doesn't contact her ill father she looks bad but if she does they'll publicise and use what she says or does. They won't be happy unless they force a visit with the grandchildren.
She can't win this game.

I don't feel sorry for her she contributed to creating this scenario, but I can see she's now in a difficult position.

I am not a fan of Meghan, and think she has made some bad decisions (polite version), but if she doesn't want to keep in touch with her father, that's her choice. All fine.
However, I'm absolutely not impressed to see both father and daughter parading all this nonsense through the Press - all this family stuff should stay private. They are just as bad as each other in their rush to involve the media.

It’s just the flip side of what Meghan has done to her husbands family …… same, same, not very different.
