Thomas Markle very ill

1000 replies

Viviennemary · 03/12/2025 20:14

I've just read Thomas Markle is in hospital intensive care. He has been treated poorly by Meghan. I doubt if the pair will have anything to say about this. Though they've always plenty to say about a lot of things. Doubt they'll be rushing to his bedside.

What an aggressive and thoroughly nasty rant post.

So? The press are also having to do a reverse squirrel on this after years of defending TM. The DM reporter said she saw the letter last year. Why did she do nothing? She has a legal duty to report. Why did the Met do nothing? Why did the Royal Protection squad do nothing? It wasn't a secret she kept to herself. Other people, people who have a legal duty to report or investigate did nothing.

Thanks for that link.
Good to see some media outlets are now putting the same questions to print that many of us have been asking over the last few days.

Do you think receiving a letter alleging that her father was a pedophile whilst she was pregnant triggered Meghan’s mental health crisis?

@simpsonthecat @LipglossAndLies well said.

@simpsonthecat @LipglossAndLies well said.

@LipglossAndLies referred to @jeffgoldblum as President so that was quite funny.

"It was, however, made firmly clear to Page Six Friday that Markle’s hands had been tied, as she didn’t have firm proof of the allegations and to make public allegations could have jeopardized an investigation or opened her up to litigation."

Then you would blame her for interfering eith an investigation.

I want to know why she went on tv and blamed the royal family for “losing” her father.

I would feel horrid and would not be blaming my in-laws for it on global television.

Is this the same man who has sold countless stories about his daughter to the tabloids? And sold the letter she sent him, again to the tabloids?

Why would anyone want a relationship with a ‘father’ like that?

What’s happened here is that you’ve read the Daily Mail and believed what they’ve told you.

Yes & its the same daughter who sold countless stories about the royal family for lots of money.
No wonder the royal family want nothing to do with her & her money grabbing husband.

Meghan Markle lives to sell stories to the tabloids like her father, sister & brother. It's a rare family trait.

TheHatTrick · Yesterday 08:42

true though

@LipglossAndLies sticks to meta commentary and won’t engage beyond that.

Also has twisted several of my posts but won’t reply. My position was quite supportive and benign. With more info it’s evolved.

Meghan and Harry lied in Spare and on Oprah about so many things. They didn’t need to share this info about her father but to blame his family for so much while this was in the background is just diabolical.

In a case of potential child abuse? Absolutely not.
Her dad is a US citizen, she is a US citizen. She has been living in the US free of the ‘shackles’ of the RF for six years, she didn’t sign her silence over (she told us), yet she did nothing. Business as usual with Oprah, Netflix, bullying etc.

simpsonthecat · Yesterday 08:53

@LipglossAndLies made a very fair post. And I will not be silenced and judged for feeling some sympathy for Meghan whilst putting the children at the forefront of my mind. There are some of us who know for various reasons how they will be suffering and one doesn't cancel out the other.
I don't have a narrow small well of empathy and sympathetic feelings, I can feel sorry for more than one person or people

Justdancevance · Yesterday 09:08

Meghan did say she didn’t sign anything so was free to say anything so silence was her choice.

I understand she was in a difficult position, it was her dad and all kinds of things being said in a letter. What she should have done between 2019 and now is a judgment decision, but working with Kids and SM harm means you need to go above and beyond from a moral if not a legal point of view

But now she should have made a short statement about the victims and held back instead of score settling. I think that’s poor judgment on her and her teams point of view and it’s why the RF won’t want them back.

This is fair and I agree.

if she had done that , that would have been wrong too....she can't win.

It isn't about winning, it's about doing the right thing. They blab about anything and everything. It is beyond unbelievable that as the UK police apparently didn't investigate that the sussexes didn't pass on the same 'letter' to the US police.

You can't go around bleating about tights, sausages and every alleged grievance yet sit on something like this.

This is a tiresome refrain. No, she could win but instead chose to air petty complaints while remaining silent about these horrid allegations.
