Thomas Markle very ill

I've just read Thomas Markle is in hospital intensive care. He has been treated poorly by Meghan. I doubt if the pair will have anything to say about this. Though they've always plenty to say about a lot of things. Doubt they'll be rushing to his bedside.

The family members may have been unnamed at the time, NaturalW, but the repulsive Scobie went on to name them as Charles and Catherine in the Dutch edition of his book - and unless he completely made this up there are only two people who he could have got that information from

I suspect M hasn’t ’reached out’ at all. Just doesn’t want to appear heartless in the Press.

With Mr Markle's permission, this newspaper independently confirmed with the hospital that neither their administration office, reception, intensive care unit nor the nurses and doctors attending to Mr Markle had heard from Meghan or her representatives, to the best of their knowledge.

A hospital source told the MoS: 'Mr Markle is a VIP patient. Of course we all know who he is. If Meghan or anyone connected with her had called here we would have known. It is a big hospital by Filipino standards but we all know each other and we all talk.

'We were all confused when we saw the story that the duchess had reached out to her dad. As far as we are aware it didn't happen. We would love to see the duchess here in the Philippines!'

Really, if he wanted to reconcile with M he would not have been photographed by a journalist in his hospital bed. He just doesn’t learn .

Meghan’s spokesperson says she has reached out. Hospital and Markles say she hasn’t.

Did Meghan say that it was racist? I remember her, them? saying there was ‘concern’ expressed about how dark the bakes skin colour would be but I can’t remember if they said the word racist/racism. I didn’t think they did.

Maybe this is his only way of communicating with her? Although I agree, my heart sank seeing that article.

Yes you do get the feeling he is easily manipulated and the son plus daughter put him up to all his cringeworthy media stunts. A photo in his hospital bed seriously, it's like something Harry would do .

Considering he had his leg cut off just a few days ago (which will need constant monitoring for infection etc) and is due to have further surgery, where did you think he’d be right now?

He could genuinely feel time is running out and is begging his DD to see him for one last time so doesn’t want to wait until he’s fit to be suited and booted in case he never is.

Agree, she’d have definitely dined out on her ‘traumatic, abusive childhood’ by now if she’d had one. Not least to counter the perception that she dumped her father because he doesn’t suit the standards of her lifestyle or image as a Royal.

She got enough traction of out her ‘trauma’ of being part of the RF for 5 minutes!

She’s obviously supported H in publicly processing his childhood trauma, so it’s unlikely she wouldn’t have done hers as well by now if she had any.

He just doesn’t need to have photos published of himself at all, but most likely he needs to pay the hospital bills.

Why shouldn’t he his photo published though? Don’t news stories usually have pictures of people in them?

I should imagine he’s covered for his medical care as below:

I think it’s quite ironic you are trying to paint a sick 81 year old man who by all accounts worked hard all his life and gave his DD a comfortable upbringing as a single parent at least through her pre teen to late teen years, paid for private education and university etc, as a money grabbing grifter considering who his DD is, and what she’s proven herself as, though,
