I hope Charles doesn't meet Harry on his next atternion seeking visit. I realise the whole situation is sad but they won't reconcile it'll just be fake smiles and watching what C says lest Harry gossips afterwards.

Charles' focus should be W&C and just draw a line under the whole unpleasant Markle chapter.

I guess the thing to take from the 8 months since she relaunched herself, is that everything has failed pretty miserably, despite the massive PR and her name recognition, she was unable to deliver anything worthwhile.

She still leans back to her days in the RF, even disclosing silly crap like wearing pantyhose.

The trouble is, @Janiie , KC is elderly, has health problems and Harry is his son, you can understand that he'll probably want at least some form of rapprochement.
I understand what you're saying about privacy, and what Harry has monetised, but maybe his Dad wants to take a chance? Who knows. I wish they could all move forward though.

Honestly, I can't understand why people don't see how unhinged H (I think fuelled by Meg) is.

I do feel sorry for the King.

He can either remain estranged from Harry, with all that entails, especially at his time of life; or he can open himself up to the possibility of seeing his private conversations in the media (portrayed accurately or otherwise).

What I don’t understand is that it’s often pointed out how little William and Kate (pre cancer) do compared to the others. So it’s not even like they’d have had to do all that much. There’d still be time for shopping and faffing about in her kitchen.

If they do meet up and private conversations are leaked , it will be pretty obvious who did the leaking , which I think would send Harry's popularity even further down the drain.
If Charles does want to meet up, then he can but he should keep the conversation to the weather.

She wanted to cash in on her Duchess title though, and thought it would be easy to make millions, if not more.
She didn't like doing unpaid work, albeit in exchange for loads of pocket money from KC, amazing houses, evenings out, banquets, patronages and experiences money can't buy and being treated like, well, royalty.
If she'd known she wouldnt make loads of money and that once away from the royal family she wouldn't be treated like royalty, she may have chosen differently. Although she never listens to advice, even hindsight, so maybe not!

Based on my life experience I suspect the answer to why she’s like this could be found in the DSM5 manual under Cluster B type disorders.

And no one forces the gruesome twosome to continually court the media and other sources of publicity in order to remind the world they’re still desperately trying to be the real life legends they are in their own minds.

I wonder who leaked the potential meet up in the first place? 🤔 I can understand to a point Charles wanting to meet up with his son but I just don’t know how he can possibly trust him, let alone forgive the awful things Harry has said about Camilla, I don’t see how their relationship can ever recover beyond the superficial level and courtiers would have to be in attendance as witnesses to protect the King. I suspect Charles will get burned again, particularly if the bank of Pa is closed.

Despite it all I really do hope that some semblance of family life and togetherness can come about for the King and his family.

I suspect it’s a going though the motions exercise as the last time when Harry flew over for ten mins. Camilla will be there, it’ll be a half hour audience exchanging pleasantries. Some presents for the grandchildren and that’ll be it for another two years.

He is so cruel in not bringing his children to meet their grandfather ( if indeed they are meeting). Imagine if Charles dies without them ever meeting now they are of an age where they will remember meeting him, how will they feel knowing that their grandfather was the bloody king? And yes yes , blah blah Charles could go to California but he is far busier than Harry and is a man living with cancer.

Almost from the start I've never believed she had the least intention of sticking around, but that's no reason for others not to have tried to prepare her (though whether she'd have listened is anotther matter)

As for a meet up - which could well be just gossip or flag flying at most - I could understand weak Charles wanting to see his son, except that anything he went along with could affect William who's likely to be around a lot longer

Hopefully though it won't come to that, since if Meghan still wants Harry around she'll almost certainly scupper anything they try by leaking it

Seeing the word 'pantyhose' makes me feel queasy.

Re pantyhose - me and my sister in law still laugh about the time decades ago when she was building her house and she told the Architect she wanted a pantyhose for visitors.

What did she mean? My teens latest slang phrase is “OMG I nearly shat my pantyhose” - which cracks me up.

The problem with California and other parts of the USA is that weed is quite standard in certain age groups and doesn't carry the same negative connotations as here. It's legal too of course.
