Continuing the on from the As ever thread

  • Funny article from Jan Moir

https://archive.ph/UfTPx

  • Turns out Chrissy wasn’t the only known bully that Meg invited onto the show. David Chang has serious anger issues and has bullied staff

https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/tvfilm/meghan-markle-s-shameless-pr-stunt-with-david-chang-is-disgusting-b1244549.html

  • Megs new show hasn’t appeared in the Top ten on NF in the UK or US, which she had done for the first series. NF aren’t promoting it other that in the ‘new this week’ section. You also have to scroll along to find it.
  • No stock sold out yet

Meghan Markle’s shameless PR stunt with David Chang is disgusting

The first episode of With Love, Meghan season two has a nasty jumpscare

I wonder if it's all a pre emptive strike? The title is everything to her.
Perhaps she's worried, somewhere down the line, it may get removed.

The peerage title belongs to Harry, not her, and I can't see it being removed. If the decision were made, I also don't think a silly interview would factor into it one way or the other. I agree that 'the title' is incredibly important to her.

LaMarschallin · 27/08/2025 09:53

The struggle to pronounce "dukedom" amused me. Came out as "dook-dumb". I presume the interviewer (and probably Meghan too) has no idea what it means.

Thedom · 27/08/2025 09:53

It's so typical of her, wearing tights in the presence of the queen offended her ‘authenticity’ enough for her to make a point about it in an interview, but using a Royal title (not recognized in her own country) isn’t 😂😂.

She is insufferable.

ThePoshUns · 27/08/2025 10:03

Exactly @Thedom if she wanted to be truly authentic and true to herself, she would just refer to herself as Meghan and ditch all the titles. She really cannot see how much of a hypocrite she is.

jamnpancakes · 27/08/2025 10:06

FleurDeFleur · 27/08/2025 09:33

I find it really strange. Is she just very impulsive, or not very aware?

She seems to embellish things ( lie) - does she not think people will check? Initially I put it down to her being from the Hollywood dog eat dog mindset where so much crap is spewed out and no one pays much attention to facts. It seems to be part of her character - she pretends to be something she isn't and lies about it. I think it goes back to her childhood - split families, various children and parents telling her she is so special. Of course there is the mystery about Doria not being present for several years. She makes a great deal about how praised she was by both as a child at times especially her father ( but not now) and how she was a latchkey kid with her mother. I'm sure this embellishment stems from these years. She needs her validation from others as we saw last year with her gushing in the garden about how much her friends all love her.

MyAutumnalCrow · 27/08/2025 10:10

I see the reviews are brutal.

Bloodymigraines · 27/08/2025 10:14

Why is she so bloody hooked on being 'authentic' (this word now gives me the rage)?
We are all different versions of ourselves depending on the situation , I have to be on my best behaviour at work, if I go into the office, I have to smarten up, I have to refrain from saying what I really think as it would get me the sack. I'm sure it's the same for most people but no one else bangs on about not being authentic.

MummyJ12 · 27/08/2025 10:24

Authentic reminds me of the dodgy beach sellers on holiday selling their knock off bags. “Authentic” they would say to try and convince me. When you feel like you need to try and convince someone that you’re authentic, you’re usually anything but.

bluegreygreen · 27/08/2025 10:25

IcedPurple · 27/08/2025 09:38

That can't possibly be true, can it? She's not a British citizen and even if she was, her Duchess title is only a courtesy title with no legal significance. She's either Markle or Mountbatten Windsor. Sussex is not a legal surname.

Why even bring it up anyway? What relevance does her family name have to, well anything really?

Exactly - can't possibly be true, but she doubled down on the 'Duchess of Sussex' being her legal name while they just 'used' Sussex as their family name.

Really strange, as surely it's so easy for someone to look up and check.

I see she has also now said (in one of the WLM episodes) that she prefers dressing in neutrals. So not forced to do so by the nasty RF, then ...

Bloodymigraines · 27/08/2025 10:28

She seems to be frantically hammering nails into the coffin of any reconciliation attempt.

Quite.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 27/08/2025 10:39

bluegreygreen · 27/08/2025 09:35

That interview was strange - she said her 'legal' name is Meghan, Duchess of Sussex - and totally avoided the passport question.

Edited

It may be that engaging about her passport's risky, bluegreygreen; after all it's the thing she apparently managed to do multiple foreign visits without, having had it taken off her Confused

BigWillyLittleTodger · 27/08/2025 10:45

FleurDeFleur · 27/08/2025 09:35

Yeah. No mention that she was Vice President of The Commonwealth Trust.
That's an incredible role and an amazing opportunity.

And the late Queen passed on her patronage of the National Theatre to Meghan, yet all she bangs on about is having to wear pantyhose 🙄 she really is as South Park accurately portrayed, an empty vessel. Meghan probably thinks she has risen to her giddy heights despite marrying into the British Royal family not because of them, she is that narcissistic, deluded, and completely ungrateful and ungracious for the opportunities given to her by our Queen.

Bloodymigraines · 27/08/2025 10:28

Let's be honest. She would never want a reconciliation.,

And what does any of it matter? Anyone can 'use' any name they like, but it doesn't mean it has any legal status. I could call myself Ms. Duchess of Iced Purple, just as David Jones could call himself David Bowie or Norma Jeane Mortenson could call herself Marilyn Monroe. Who really cares?

Just call yourself what you like and get on with it Rachel Meghan Markle Sussex. Is that all you've got?

Bloodymigraines · 27/08/2025 11:09

Just had a quick look at her ShopMy and it's empty.

AtIusvue · 27/08/2025 11:26

It’s so weird why she would start a Shopmy page……only for months later effectively shut it down. Female founder podcast also gone. WLM3 isn’t going to happen

All she has is As ever…which she won’t share the sales figures for 🤔

Things are going downhill rapidly. She confused notoriety for popularity. It was never going to work.

Totally agree with this. Why is wearing tights when you are “on duty” not being authentic and why does it even matter? She really doesn’t understand that being part of the firm is seen by those within it as “a job”. So they have a “uniform” (which admittedly is probably going to evolve now that the late Queen has died). No one was forcing Meghan to wear tights in the comfort of her own home when she was not “on duty”. So it really is of no significance to her if she was required to wear them in her public facing role. Did she not wear a costume when she was in suits? And as many pp have said, lots of us are required to wear certain things and behave in a certain way when at work. So the same was required of the Duchess of Sussex. Big deal

jamnpancakes · 27/08/2025 12:01

If that's the worst thing about her being inauthentic - wearing tights - that would be a blessing.

Mylovelygreendress · 27/08/2025 12:29

Slight derail but was just reading about the Clooneys hosting lots of celebs in the Italian place .
Wonder if H and M were just too busy to join them ??

StrawberryWasp · 27/08/2025 12:29

That interview she's given is terrible. I could only watch it for a few minutes it was so unbearable.

She speaks in weird, empty, circular, self help, positive thinking type slogans, that have zero content but aim to portray herself as thriving and interesting.

I'm living my story.
I'm authentic to my truth.
Type clap trap.

I literally cannot listen to people who speak like this and do not understand why everyone isn't going WTF are you talking about? You sound deranged. Stop it. Be normal.

But people like the interviewer do seem to take her seriously or act as if she's talking normally. Why??

It seems to be an American thing. Are there British celebs who do this?

But also it's a certain type of out dated celeb thing. Those who think its still 2018 and we're impressed by 'Manifesting' or 'mindfulness' and act like sages who have wisdom to impart.

Katie Perry for example became a laughing stock when she tried after being an astronaut to be deep and wise, and just sounded like an empty headed idiot.

Basically she's dated. She's acting like a mega celeb circa 2015 when she's really a has been 2025.

Meg, no one talks like that anymore.
You sound like a old fashioned loon. It's over.

JSMill · 27/08/2025 13:15

Janiie · 27/08/2025 08:47

How does markle think people cope who have to wear a uniform for work, who may <whispers> have to wear tights. I mean it's all just so horrific. I can't imagine how you get to her age and only just found about about such things as a dress code for work.

Glad you brought up dress codes! I went to an exhibition at KP recently called ‘Dress Codes’. It made me think of M (briefly, I didn’t want to spoil my visit remembering her grim outfits). Anyway, this was at the beginning of the exhibition. It is basically you learn the dress code, then work within it. She shows her utter lack of class complaining about wearing tights. It’s what you do in very formal situations. Don’t join the RF and then complain about formality ffs. She couldn’t even do it properly. I remember she wore tights at a garden party at BP in July 2018. They weren’t nude. They were a bit opaque and looked like the kind of thing I wore with a party dress when I was 8. Plus, she had a terrible bra on. Wearing the right underwear is part of dressing properly.

As ever/WLM2- puts the boasting into hosting

She's now saying that Sussex is a name they use " roughly or loosely" as their surname now. Her legal name is Meghan, Duchess of Sussex 🙄This is from an interview with Emily Chang to promote the second season of the show.

I don't understand why she has to make a big thing about her name all of the time. Can she really not "get it" that titles are not necessarily surnames? ie that she's (Rachel) Meghan Mountbatten-Windsor, Duchess of Sussex. Just like Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath, Amanda Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire etc etc.

Obviously her dimwitted husband either A) doesn't understand it himself, or B) they wanted a different name/title and "pretending" they don't get the names is part of this game.

Part of me wonders if Harry and Meghan were expecting bigger/better titles when Charles became King? The summer of the Queen's death Harry had been styling himself "Prince Harry of Wales" at the Santa Barbara Polo Club - so I wonder if they were intending to merch a "Prince and Princess of Wales" ie Diana narrative that never was because the queen died and his brother's family were rapidly announced as the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Maybe the Sussexes could have been “the Prince and Princess of Wails” 🤔😆

I think someone's told her that proper British royalty or aristocrats don't have 'surnames' as such and use their title as one. So she thinks that being Meghan Sussex fits in with that. Surnames are for the little people.
