Continuing the on from the As ever thread

  • Funny article from Jan Moir

https://archive.ph/UfTPx

  • Turns out Chrissy wasn’t the only known bully that Meg invited onto the show. David Chang has serious anger issues and has bullied staff

https://www.standard.co.uk/culture/tvfilm/meghan-markle-s-shameless-pr-stunt-with-david-chang-is-disgusting-b1244549.html

  • Megs new show hasn’t appeared in the Top ten on NF in the UK or US, which she had done for the first series. NF aren’t promoting it other that in the ‘new this week’ section. You also have to scroll along to find it.
  • No stock sold out yet

Meghan Markle’s shameless PR stunt with David Chang is disgusting

The first episode of With Love, Meghan season two has a nasty jumpscare

She's bonkers. The woman who will be the actual Queen at some point was often seen in Sainsburys and The Range in Kings Lynn when they lived in Norfolk, with her children in tow. Why would anyone even be interested in seeing Markle buying washing powder?

It reminds me of her first "pap walk" in Kensington when she visited Whole Foods and no-one took any notice, so she had to walk up and down a few times 😂!

Weepixie · 31/08/2025 12:13

Then there were the pap shots of Catherine taken last winter in Nottinghill I think it was when she was visiting a spectacle shop. It was dusk, she was all wrapped up and appeared to have doc martins on.

Yes.

In "Spare", Harry claims she was harrassed and chased by the paps.
Photographic evidence would suggest this was not true.
She also claimed that all the papers and magazines in the shop had her face on. People have checked the date. They did not.

EmpressSisi · 31/08/2025 12:38

Catherine has been spotted out and about countless times. Just off the top of my head, some examples include:

  • Shopping numerous times at the Sainsbury’s in King’s Lynn
  • Taking the kids to another Sainsbury’s to buy their Halloween outfits
  • Shopping multiple times at Waitrose in Anglesey
  • The infamous image of her food shopping at Windsor Farm Shop during the “Where’s Kate?” fiasco
  • Shopping with the children at Smiggle on King Street in London
  • Shopping at Boots on King Street
  • Taking the kids to play at various public parks
  • Buying the children ice creams from park/street vendors after school and clubs
  • Attending the Go Wild Festival in Norfolk with the kids

Shopping in public doesn’t seem to faze her. Sure, people might stare or snap a photo now and then, but mostly she and her family get to enjoy their day in peace.

'Paps' don't really exist in the way they used to. Now that everyone has a camera phone and celebrities manage their own profiles through social media, photographs of this or that 'celeb' strolling down the street or coming out of Starbucks just don't command a high price anymore. Another example of how Harry and Meghan are living in the past.

The British media also have an agreement not to photograph the royals when not on 'duty'. You do sometimes see pictures of various royals 'out and about' in social media or the European press, but almost never in the British press. Of course, no such restrictions apply in California, but I honestly do not think the Sussexes are the high value 'pap' target they desperately want to believe they are.

FitatFifty · 31/08/2025 12:51

I’ve just seen a pic of Taylor on DeuxMoi having dinner with a friend in a normal restaurant in Tennessee. It’s weird how not once do M&H get spotted socialising? Every Sunday they do that thing where they list where people have been seen out and about. Clearly C gets spotted.

They have created such a sad life.

Edited

Exactly. Meghan claimed that she was a good parent to go and live in California, because in the UK they would be papped constantly going to school.
That's not true.

The UK media abides by a code where minors are not papped.

The Wales children's first day each school year has one photographer and one camera person, and their footage is shared with any interested media. The rest of the year they are left alone.

Yet another lie by M

So obvious. Unless she thought the US readers would believe her. Load of tosh.

Not even each school year. Just the very first day of school for each child, and that's it. We haven't seen any school pics since all the Wales children started at Lambrook 3 years ago.

But... another lie.

BigWillyLittleTodger · 31/08/2025 13:28

In my opinion she fits the brief perfectly of a pathological liar, we often dress it up on here as fibs, misremembering etc. but I think it’s more sinister than that

Pathological lying is associated with a condition known as mythomania. Pathological liars exaggerate events, fabricate stories, or present completely false incidents as true. They may also claim to have met individuals they have never encountered. Moreover, they themselves believe the lies they tell

Remind you of anyone?

That was so funny, especially with the brand new never been used shopping bag declaring end world poverty or something! I’m amazed she didn’t go the whole hog and wear a sandwich board declaring she’s Prince Harry’s new girlfriend 🙄

Didn't she walk up and down outside the Daily Mail offices wearing Hunter wellies on a dry day to shop in Kensington?

Every time I get off the tube at High Street Kensington and walk past that Wholefoods, I have a little chuckle to myself. Last time I was there, I shared a carriage with Angela Rippon. I did the exact thing Emily Blunt describes - the quick double take. She was very smart and looked fabulous for a woman in her 80s.

@FitatFifty I saw Diana checking into a British Airways flight to Australia about a week after Charles had proposed to her. She was with her mum and they were lining up in the first or business queue just like everyone else. I recognised her but managed not to draw attention to her by my body language and though I could see a few others recognised her as well, no one said or did anything to blow her (non existent) cover so to speak.

Of course nowadays they have that VVIP suite for those travelling discreetly but if they had it way back then, not even being proposed to by Prince Charles got her in there.

The VVIP suites cost...and TBH a lot of high profile very well known very identifiable celebs manage to queue for check-in/luggage drop without being plagued by either paps or autograph hunters....as you observed with Diana there's almost a code amongst fellow travellers of "do not disturb".

This whole idea that H and/or M couldn't move through, for example an airport, wthout automaically being papped to death is a load of baloney...but it's probably an idea they are keen to perpetuate..

I think some clever person told me how to look up the ratings for Netflix shows but I've tried and failed 🙁 Is there information on how WLM2 is faring or do they only do it after the first week ?

flapjackfairy · 31/08/2025 15:03

MyAutumnalCrow · 31/08/2025 07:16

Yes, her declared dream, her total fantasy ambition, if she were incognito (which she says she is in Montecito …) is to ‘go grocery shopping every day’ <excited clap> as she ‘loves grocery shopping’.

but earlier in that interview she said that she could meet friends for dinner etc because she could go around freely in Monticeto So why is she then claiming that she can't go.grocery shoping? One or the other is true. She can't even keep her story straight for a whole interview. And she waffled loads but never actually answered the questions asked. She doesn't come across as someone who.understands her own business never mind being on top of it.

Not sure but she hasn’t placed in the Top Ten in any country since the launch.

Last time she very briefly made number 5 in the US top tv shows before falling out the charts.

@BasiliskStare- I think it’s a week before they do the numbers. (Happy to be corrected if someone’s got them). I did think it was relatively clever to go now, being a bit earlier means it’s hit the period when people are back to watching more tv but a lot of the new shows aren’t hitting Netflix until September. End of August is a bit of a drought for good programmes to watch that you’ve not already seen. This way the figures are likely to be higher than dropping it next week, when there’s quite a bit more competition.
