Good lord, does she not realise how vacuous and out of touch she sounds? She really is like Marie Antionette. There's a good reason online grocery shopping exists and is so popular. It's like that rubbish about loving the school run. Don't get me wrong there are times when it is tolerable, but no one who does it day in day out loves the school run. She is desperate to be down to earth, but becomes more out of touch every day.

I can't think of any other high profile person who talks like this. It's almost as if she wants to convince the world of how special she is.

There are often pap shops of A listers shopping in supermarkets, using the subway/underground. I saw Emily Blunt saying she can walk around Brooklyn, people do a double take and then leave you alone.
I wonder how many years she can keep talking like this, no one cares. Is that the point of living in a wealthy area is that you can have a bit of normality.

I actually think both things are untrue. I suspect she and Harry don’t go out from their mansion that much, but I don’t think that’s because they’re so mega famous that they can’t go to grocery stores, bars, restaurants etc without being harassed. I think that’s Meghan manifesting the narrative she wants to portray, which is on the one hand that she and Harry are living the dream as popular social butterflies, beloved in their community with loads of friends - and on the other hand that they’re such mega stars that they couldn’t possibly do a normal activity like shopping without being harassed by crowds of adoring fans. It requires some cognitive dissonance not to realise you look foolish by trying to claim that both things are true.

@FitatFifty I saw Diana checking into a British Airways flight to Australia about a week after Charles had proposed to her. She was with her mum and they were lining up in the first or business queue just like everyone else. I recognised her but managed not to draw attention to her by my body language and though I could see a few others recognised her as well, no one said or did anything to blow her (non existent) cover so to speak.

Of course nowadays they have that VVIP suite for those travelling discreetly but if they had it way back then, not even being proposed to by Prince Charles got her in there.
