The royal family

How can Harry be so deluded?

1000 replies

HiRen · 04/06/2025 17:38

The paranoia deepens

I don't really know what to conclude from this other than that Harry must feel the victim of a deep state conspiracy. Being a spoilt brat, and not understanding that he's there to serve his country rather than the country being there to serve him, can't help. Even if he did fear strategic delays, why would he jump to the conclusion that specific individuals have it in for him, rather than that there's a bigger picture to consider?

I just can't fathom the depths of misery and confusion he must experience on a daily basis. He must think his whole life was a lie until he met Meghan. I really do think things with Harry are much worse than they seem. Which puts an entirely different, and much darker, gloss on all of Meghan's utterings of her era of joy.

I honestly wouldn't want to be in their orbit. And I wonder whether those who remain in their orbit are desperate, whether as friends or employees. They're too much.

I think we had the four emojis for less than a year. Before that we just had the "like" button, and nobody seemed to feel deprived!

I was wrong about how long they'd been here: they were introduced last December, so we had them for about five months before the one that was open to abuse was removed. In the third post or so on the thread announcing their advent, someone warned that it would need to be taken away because people would use them sarcastically as had happened on some other board, and they've proved to be a true prophet.

Has anyone else heard something about MM posting a fuck you message in the early hours and then deleting it?

Yes ! Someone managed to screenshot before it was deleted but I have no idea if it was genuine .

Who was it aimed at?

You know literally nothing about them. Nothing. You have, at most, what you've read in a largely hostile media which is heavily influenced by what the royal family want, mixed in with a toxic dose of racism and slavish devotion to monarchy.

Maybe Meghan is a raging bitch. Maybe she's an angel and they're deliriously happy. Maybe you should accept you don't know them, have nothing to do with them, couldn't possibly comprehend their lives and are just happily swallowing the shit funnelled down your willing gullet by newspapers owned by neo nazis.

Absolutely agree

midsummabreak · 06/06/2025 21:43

Absolutely agree

What about what has come out of their own mouths in various interviews?

IsoldeWagner · 06/06/2025 22:22

We know plenty about the Sussexes, and in considerable detail.
How?. From themselves. Their words, their pronouncements, their interviews, their tv shows their opinions, their pictures.. His book.
Ali from them.

Serenster · 06/06/2025 22:29

If anyone wants to swerve the sources mentioned above (probably sensible!) then you could always, as many of us have done, read, listen to and watch what Meghan has told us at length and directly in her engagement interview, her Vanity Fair interview, Oprah, a six part Netflix documentary, the many hours of Archetypes podcasts, speeches at the awards she has picked up, the magazine interviews she has done in The Cut and Variety, the interview with Tom Bradby, the Ellen DeGeneres show, her panel appearances at various events (most recently SWSX). Plus what’s been disclosed in her court case and said in evidence in that proceeding. There there has been everything she has said in the first series of “With Love, Meghan” (second series to come) and several more hours of “Confessions of a Female Founder” to add to the list. Plus her instagram content since January.

And then there’s all the things Meghan wants us to know via Harry in Spare, The Me You Can’t See, his Dax Shephard podcast, and his tv interviews to promote Spare, and all his court cases. Not to mention via Omid Scobie in Finding Freedom, Endgame and all his other content - most recently his BBC interview.

There has been more than enough of coverage of Meghan herself, in her own words, for people to form a solid opinion I am sure.

Absolutely this.

HonoriaBulstrode · 06/06/2025 22:54

You know literally nothing about them. Nothing.

Yet some people on this thread feel they know enough about the King and Queen to refer to them in the most offensive terms, in language which no-one has used when discussing H&M.

StartupRepair · 06/06/2025 22:55

At least the twerking video doesn't harm anything other than h and M's own reputation and image. Different from the spite, hints and allegations of the Oprah interview , the Netflix documentary and Spare. Or Harry's recent interview. Nor does it exploit others, like the Uvalde visit.
It's cringey, cheesy and ends any lingering view of them as serious people but it doesn't hurt anyone else.

CathyorClaire · 06/06/2025 21:10

I pity the fools who've spoiled it for the rest of us by using it sarcastically.

I'm actually fummin.

I have never abused the thing in the way described and now have no way other than pointless and probably multiple post wasting quoting to show my appreciation of a witticism 😡

Totally agree, the posters who used it incorrectly should be removed not the emoji itself, I don’t want to repost a quote just to post a laughing emoji to show my appreciation and clog up the thread, and honestly if posters are so thin skinned they can’t cope with an emoji I don’t know how they cope with mumsnet or the internet in general at all.

BemusedAmerican · 07/06/2025 01:48

After that twerking video, I thought "for the love of God, H & M, take a social media detox".

LaLaLaLavaChChChChicken · 07/06/2025 02:36

I’m massively pissed off. I paid £2.50 for a go on the Euromillions to win the jackpot of over £200million and I didn’t win. I thought if I won, it wouldn’t be that long before M’s money radar would ping and she would be sending me some runny jam and a few dried dandelions to tastefully sprinkle on my private chef cooked fake away.

I was going to report all about it here too. Like a Come Dine With Me, I’d go to their house. Harry would be juggling his balls (steady on Kath, I’m not referring to the ones near his blue appendage). M would be dressed in all white, smiling whilst dressing our meal with dried flowers and warm honey from her own hive. The children would be seen out of the corner of my eye, always with their backs to us, and oh, the trick of the light, it seems their hair changes colour every half hour. We’d then have pancakes from Meg’s own mix. How we’d laugh. Such fun!

If you think Equestrian sports are “obscure and boring” (which presumably applies to all sports to someone who doesn’t follow it?) then how can you possibly have a view on whether Zara is a well-known and globally popular eventer? In the countries where eventing is big (the UK, the USA, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, Italy etc), Zara is definitely well known.

In addition to her Olympic silver she has also finished second at Badminton and been an individual European and World Champion, plus been voted by the public to be BBC Sports Personality of the Year (beating out golfer Darren Clarke and gymnast Beth Tweddle).

Oh come on now. As a horse girl growing up myself a lifetime ago I'm not going to pretend my friends and others are deeply interested in equestrianism. The volume of Zara's commercial public facing sponsorships (especially before she medalled in the Olympics which signifies general public recognition outside the sport) compared to those of her ilk and even her teammates speaks for itself.

It's really quite a massive stretch to compare her to Andy Murray and Chris Hoy as PP (or you?) did. Her sponsorships clearly derive their value mainly from her royal status. I'm not even sure what the point of pretending otherwise is lol. There's so much stretch there, the argument is almost transparent 😂 I don't say this to denigrate her hard work which clearly is worth acknowledging as well.

ThePoshUns · 07/06/2025 06:32

There’s a new video dropped of them celebrating Lilys birthday in Disneyland. Is this a desperate attempt to deflect from the twerking video?
The Disney video is quite nice but again more of the children is seen - in colour! It won’t be long until the do a Hello photoshoot.
Their new PR team are in overdrive. Not sure what their ultimate aim is though?

Tripthelightfantastical · 07/06/2025 06:36

Their new PR team are clearly desperate to get people talking about them whatever the means or content.

ThePoshUns · 07/06/2025 06:36

There is a shot of them on the log flume, who does that remind me of?

Tripthelightfantastical · 07/06/2025 06:43

But, but.. what about securidee?!

Serenster · 07/06/2025 07:06

No one on the thread has said Zara is on a par with Andy Murray or Chris Hoy! Yes, that would be a stretch.

Tripthelightfantastical · 07/06/2025 06:43

But, but.. what about securidee?!

Good question. I think Harry is only fearful of travelling by limousine in the UK, to places like Westminster Abbey. Clearly going to Disneyland, mixing with everyone else on all the rides, in a place of high gun ownership is no danger at all!
Pay up, UK taxpayers!

Serenster · 07/06/2025 07:07

You can’t take guns into Disneyland, thankfully.

Well, that's a huge relief. I'm guessing that security is good and it's a very safe environment then. They're still very close to members of the public.

Princess Lilibet's birthday is certainly an important event.

there will no doubt be photo soon introducing Princess Lilibet Diana to the world.
