How can Harry be so deluded?

The paranoia deepens

I don't really know what to conclude from this other than that Harry must feel the victim of a deep state conspiracy. Being a spoilt brat, and not understanding that he's there to serve his country rather than the country being there to serve him, can't help. Even if he did fear strategic delays, why would he jump to the conclusion that specific individuals have it in for him, rather than that there's a bigger picture to consider?

I just can't fathom the depths of misery and confusion he must experience on a daily basis. He must think his whole life was a lie until he met Meghan. I really do think things with Harry are much worse than they seem. Which puts an entirely different, and much darker, gloss on all of Meghan's utterings of her era of joy.

I honestly wouldn't want to be in their orbit. And I wonder whether those who remain in their orbit are desperate, whether as friends or employees. They're too much.

Harry and Meghan explored changing surname to Spencer amid children’s passport delays

Absolutely nothing. What part of “people who win team Silver Olympic medals do not get sponsorships lucrative enough for them not to need to do any other work for the rest of their lives” is so difficult to understand?

The point that she's only getting the sponsorship because she's royal. Imagine digging at a woman who is a successful Olympian!
She's not the eye candy on a game show. Zara has put in work and effort and developed formidable skills.
I don't know why you'd knock that.

I’m not comparing anyone with anyone. But I
don’t think many winners of Olympic Team Silver medals are able to make a career out of sponsorship without anything else to offer.

She also has a World Champion title and BBC Sports Personality of the Year (which is voted for by the public) award to her name. So an Olympic silver medal is not all she has to offer, you are quite correct.

' She's also very amusing. She's widely liked, even by the press'. - Camilla

I spoke to a member of the press in 2020, when Harry and Meghan were in the USA. I asked what the members of the RF were like. Maybe a man shouldn't have answered, but he did and he said, "Harry is always angry with us. William is a bit and even Charles just now and again. Kate's all right, Meghan's all right and Camilla is - 'the best thing that ever happened to Charles'.

I’m not digging at her. I’m just saying she is cashing in on her royal status. She would definitely not get that level of sponsorship if she wasn’t royal. Fair play to her-but people tend to suggest that she has a career outside her position.

You are not privy to her private financial affairs, so you have no idea whether she is reliant on her sponsorship deals or whether she has other sources of income. Since she doesn't receive public money, it's no-one else's business.

upinaballoon · 05/06/2025 12:11

Did anyone ever feel that he/she made a bit of a hash of some part of his/her life? I certainly did. Looking back, maybe it wasn't so terrible and I learned from it, and it was a long time ago.
Thinking about Harry's life, it has been quite dramatic. He is not many years down the road from ceasing to be a working royal. Is it hard for him to live a life which is not dramatic? Maybe he will look back in 20 years time and see this as his 'coming to terms with life' time.

Derail, but what a likeness! (Phillip and Harry if pic doesn't load straight away)

I really hope Harry learns and grows and finds peace. It must be awful to live in his brain and believe all the things he believes about his family.

I think she has a role in a racecourse and does other things. I don't get the impression its all sponsorship. She is also still riding, it will interesting to see if the level of sponsorship drops off when she retires.

Trivial perhaps, but jesus he's the image of his father. What happened to Diana's genes?

Temperament? We don't inherit only our looks from them.

No sorry, can’t agree, Philip was a handsome man his whole life. Harry does not resemble him at all. Both the Queen and Philip had close set eyes so he could have inherited that feature from either side. He looks very Spencer around the jaw.

I agree. But other posters are using her as an example of someone making her living outside the royal “fold”. I was just pointing out that she isn’t. No criticism of her. Just fact checking.

It is always interesting to see how genes from two families can produce such different results in offspring.

William and Kate could have been doing the rowing dance to "oops upside your head" while she was in labour. We'll never know, because they have more commonsense and dignity than to make private moments (in a delivery room!) into a public show.

😂😂😂the image!!! lol

I’m a big fan of Andy Murray, but claiming he’s a GOAT in tennis is ridiculous!

Edited

Oh ok. Maybe I was wrong. I don't even follow tennis 😂 but that's precisely my point! He's one of the most globally well known, popular players. Chris Hoy is also globally well known – people love cycling and I've heard of him at least. Tennis and cycling are among the most popular sports in terms of churning out celebs.

Zara has one (1) silver medal in a prestigious but obscure and boring sport. And it was a team event – I can't even remember the team names of those who gold medalled in track cycling for the UK even though I was watching the event live. I once watched a Pointless ep where people really struggled to name multiple female gold medallists of certain obscure sports. Let's not pretend the bulk of Zara's fame comes from sports, lol.

And also how characteristics from both sides assert themselves in the same person at different times. Harry at rest looks more like his father than his mother, but some of his expressions are very reminiscent of Diana.

It’s not fact though is it? It’s your thoughts, unless you are her accountant?

CurlewKate · 05/06/2025 12:51

Strange how people don’t rate Andy Murray. 3 majors, 40-something grand slams, world number I…an incredibly long career despite serious injury. But people still think of him as a failure!

Ohpleeeease · 05/06/2025 12:52

I do know someone who competed in the same sport and was very disparaging about the difference having access to top quality horses and the best trainers made, so there is that.

However, temperamentally Zara is a born sportswoman, and that goes a long way.

I think she’s a director at Cheltenham racecourse , ie an actual job with an actual income.
I would have love to have seen Harry’s face when he opened his first electric bill at Monteshitshow. I bet he has never seen one before let alone pay one.

And generally a good guy, few tantrums or unsporting stuff. And feminist.

Andy Murray was unfortunate in that he was in action at the same time as three truly great players those being Nadal, Federer and Djokovic. Otherwise he would probably have had even more success. As it stands, though, he comes across as an also ran which is a shame. Sorry for derail 😊

So much unnecessary hate here for Harry and Meaghan - it’s messed up really. Let it be

Not me. He’s patently not a failure. He was an incredibly skilled tennis player who had great achievements on and off the court. He was well regarded enough by his peers that he was invited to Roland Garros earlier this month for Rafa Nadal’s tribute, alongside Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.

But therein lies the problem: they are/were his peers. And compared to them there can be no suggestion that Andy ranks as the Greatest Of All Time (i.e. Goat) as hungryyyy labelled him.

Her husband has sponsorship deals and she herself is from a wealthy family.
