It's not good news for Meghan. The podcast by Meghan is out of the Spotify 100 in the US and the UK. With Apple it's not even in the top 200 chart.

That’s not true actually. She says “I love harry more than ever” Apparently. I read this somewhere but haven’t actually listened to the podcast.

I can’t believe she didn’t mention her own mother on Mother’s Day. I can totally understand if her mother doesn’t want her image on social media but a couple of words don’t hurt.

Well I have watched it. And no she doesn't. She talks a lot about how much he loves her. Meghan is asked by JKL if she's more in love than ever. Her answer is (I'm paraphrasing) "Yeah, you have to remember at the beginning it was butterflies and then we were in the trenches for 7 years and now we can just relax and enjoy each other." And then she talks about him being a fox. She does not say "I love Harry".

She posted a Mother’s Day post about herself to herself? Well, at least we can all agree she has a healthy sense of self esteem!

She does realise that the PPOW’s instagram is a joint account, doesn’t she? So when the Mother’s Day photos and messages are posted it’s being sent as William? And vice versa? Maybe she needs to get Harry on the ‘gram if she needs that validation?

Im surprised that she didn’t mention Doria to be honest. After everything she’s been through I think Doria has been the one who has consistently been there for her. She’s the only one I have any respect for.

Perhaps Doria has asked her not to post publicly things about her? My sister has asked i don't post pictures of my nephews even when my socials are private. I respect that.

It could be a simple innocent and perfectly okay reason such as that.

Not to mention how many of you go posting pictures of you and you mum on mothers day every year. Its not something we have to do and God forbid if we don't.

How many other royal family members post a mother's day post with their mum? I mean if we are going to criticise one person not doing it then let's criticise them all...

And you’re right, most people do post a photo of themselves with their mother. But Meghan hasn’t done that. She posted a photo of herself with her kids (at least the back of them) telling us all how much her kids love her.

I recall the Wales’ account posting photos of William with Charles and Catherine as a child with Michael one Father’s Day. This year Catherine posted a video celebrating Mother Nature for Mother’s Day. And when they do post photos of their kids celebrating these two events it’s usually from the perspective of the other parents speaking on behalf of their kids.

I just think it’s a bit vain and performative 🤷🏼‍♀️ But we’re all allowed to have our own opinions.

I don't post on social media about any of my family. And I certainly don't post about myself telling everyone what a great mum I am. That's the equivalent of writing a Mother's Day card to yourself. My kids give me lovely messages that I keep private. I don't feel the need to share those with anyone.

I can't think of any working royals with alive mothers other than Catherine. Her Mother's Day message this year was a tribute to Mother Nature. I don't think she's ever posted a Mother's Day message to herself about herself. Her husband has posted Mother's Day messages to her in the past from him and the children.

Doria never gets a look in. Kids not named for her or even attributed to her in any way. I feel sorry for her.

Her ‘honeymoon period’ yes. She cert doesn’t add ‘and I adore him’ after the ‘he loves me so so much’.

It’s interesting from a psychological perspective as she appears to ‘manifest’ all she wants & to be able to make it so & keep going if not.

I'd respect it too, @Spectre8, and agree there's no need for photos unless everyone's happy for them to be shared, but she could at least have included something along the lines of "Happy Mothers Day to my wonderful mom"

It wouldn't have centred her though, so I can quite see why it wouldn't be there

Actually, thinking about it, I get the strong impression that Doria isn't on board with all the publicity seeking. She always seems quiet, modest and pretty embarrassed to be put on show the way Meghan has tried to in the past.

I bet she's put her foot down!

She seems to have a sensible head on her shoulders unlike the others in that family.

This is interesting, an interview with the head of Netflix on NBC Today show, about the revamping of the Netflix homepage and some of the massive success shows, the host then mentions some of the stumbles and viewer backlash about technical issues and the hyping of crap shows. A segment from Meghans show, the Mindy Kaling "I'm a Sussex now", is shown as an example of one of the shows that viewers railed against.

I would really like to know if they are just depending on hate watching. It’s been panned and mocked by everyone. How long can people keep hate watching something?! Life is too short!

They'll doubtless notice what's happened to the viewing figures for the podcasts, etc, too

@jsmill, he did say they ask themselves "are we satisfying viewers and are they watching" so Meghan certainly brought the viewers at the outset, but is that enough for Netflix, when the viewers trail off massively as it reportedly did after episode two of her show and it ends up being roundly ridiculed..

It fell into the abyss after 1 week, and I dont think it made it in to the top 5 on the charts. The viewing numbers didn't look great despite it being strategically released when they had no other content to release that week and on a Tuesday when the charts are already compiled, so they had a full 7 days of viewership before the next charts were compiled.

I watched episode 1 and part of the Mindy Kalling one after seeing the “I’m Meghan Sussex now” furore. But it was so booooooring. Not particularly funny even. Just duuuulllll. If something is unintentionally laugh-out-loud funny then keep it going, or if it had more fly-on-the-wall aspects (but it wasn’t even in her house!) but the programme was just a big yawn fest.

Is this a blinking contest ? The blinking is of course an indication of the amount of lies being told. Meghan goes that step further where she closes her eyes and drifts off into her own private little imaginary life.

It could be this, but Doria has featured in other Instagram posts from Meghan (as recently as last month) so it would seem strange if she’s suddenly requested not to be featured at all.

and as you say, Meghan could have referenced her without including a photo.

So I don’t think it’s anything to do with Doria’s privacy.

I can’t see the series being deemed a success by Netflix in anyway - it sank so quickly out of the top ten and it was universally panned. If Netflix renew their contract with H&M I would be shocked to my core.

You and me both, @Elessar, but wasn't it said that the second series of the "Meghan in the kitchen" thingy had already been filmed for release later this year?

Maybe I've got that wrong though and it wasn't for Netflix ...
