Meghan's birthday message for Archie read: "Happy 6th birthday to Archie! Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He's six! Where did the time go?"
The photo she shared of her son had a glowing quality almost like a halo, reminiscent of saint-like portraits in religious art. She also recently posted a picture of herself as a schoolgirl standing next to a statue of the Virgin Mary, which felt like a strange juxtaposition given how controversial she is in the public eye.
All of this makes me wonder: why is Meghan leaning into religious or quasi-religious language and imagery in her PR? Is it a personal reflection, a strategic branding choice, or an attempt to reshape her public image? Especially interesting, considering all the recent SS commentary criticising Prince William for supposedly not being "religious enough".
The Sussexes provide endless entertainment for the masses, maybe not in the way they intend to.
