It's not good news for Meghan. The podcast by Meghan is out of the Spotify 100 in the US and the UK. With Apple it's not even in the top 200 chart.

Young 🙄

She is an older Mom, mid 40's.

Maybe we all should sit back and nod nicely along as they bombard via the media and their PR with their narrative of how amazing we should believe they are, bow down to them as they tell us how incredible they are, because they said so.😜

What does it matter? Is it okay to be horrible about her because she isn’t what you deem ‘a young mother’? Middle aged mothers also have troubles/worries. Being a mother is hard. That’s really not the point. Just try and be kind, you really know nothing about her life.

We know plenty actually. Books, podcasts, documentary series, cooking series. She won’t stop banging on about what her life is like. That’s their only currency in lieu of any actual talent

Thedom · 07/05/2025 09:21

you really know nothing about her life.

Well, just recently we know she wakes up at 3am to think about packaging, her husband tells her to go and have a bath if he thinks she is tired, her little son tells her not to work so hard, her daughter thinks her jam is beautiful, they believe their son is their sun and they recently went on holiday, everyone loves her because they tell her so on and off camera etc, etc. etc.

What we know about her she (and that one) are happy to share with the world and the world can make of it what they want and discuss as much as she is happy to discuss.

jeffgoldblum · 07/05/2025 09:25

Perhaps if Meghan had taken your advice to “be kind” , instead of bullying her staff , her husband’s elderly grandparents and her in-laws , people would be more inclined not to criticise her ridiculous attempts at gaining more fame and fortune!

Weepixie · 07/05/2025 09:25

We know plenty about her life because she never shuts up telling people about it.

I've explained why this false narrative matters. You just don't like the explanation.

Your post makes no sense. I know loads, absolutely LOADS about Meghan because she blathers endlessly about herself and her life. Harry also talks about her in all his ramblings.

Now - are you saying that what they both tell us isn't true? Either their verbal diarrhoea about themselves is true, so therefore we all know plenty - or if you say I don't know anything about Meghan - are you saying she's lying to us?

Do clarify.

HonoriaBulstrode · 07/05/2025 09:30

We even know her blood group!

Honestly @CoffeeCantata , don't you get it, you just have to be kind. It doesn't matter about all the lies they have told, it doesn't matter that they accused family members of being racist, it doesn't matter that a book was written detailing private text messages and descriptions of a family member's body parts . It doesn't matter that the book cruelly mocked a school staff member. It doesn't matter that she lied to a judge.
Honestly , just be kind.

No answer then? What a surprise. Your position is a false one and you are unable to defend it.

'Bitchfest' indeed. If you think this discussion is a bitchfest, you need to get out more!

Indeed! They are a silly lot.

This thread is the worst of Mumsnet. Vitriolic, snarky, jealous and mean. I understand she is not everyone’s cup of tea but why should that bother people so much? Who really cares? Such a lot of wasted energy hating someone you have never met and more than that, a young mother who could be struggling with all kinds of difficulties behind the scenes. As was Diana when the press hounded her to pieces. Go look at your own lives and above all try and be kind.

I can assure you NO ONE is jealous of MM.

CodandChipz · 07/05/2025 10:38

Diana was not hounded to her death. She played a silly game tipping off the press, getting her name in the papers, cancelling British security. Got into a car with no seatbelt and probably was encouraging a drunk driver to drive fast to lose paparazzi.

Like Meghan she could have chosen to live her life more privately. If Meghan and Harry think they are being hounded they could move somewhere and not be seen. It’s interesting that Taylor Swift is only seen when she wants to be, sometimes she’s not seen for weeks on end. If she can do it then she can, she’s not as famous. If they were genuinely worried they were a target then they would alter their lives accordingly.

JADS · 07/05/2025 12:20

I listened to the Jamie Kern Lima podcast and I was really struck by Meghan saying how "busy" she was. The examples she gave sounded like things that wouldn't take much time. It made me wonder if Meghan is a procrastinator. It also confused me because her time on Suits would have been brutal - early mornings, long days, intense schedules for months at a time. The faffing she describes sounds like "busy work" and I just can't relate her current busyness to her previous life.

With Meghan, I always find that there is a cognitive dissonance between what she is saying and what she thinks she is saying. Same with Harry.

Profhilodisaster · 07/05/2025 12:28

Re her being busy, nothing she does is any different to millions of parents, only the vast majority do it without nannies , cleaners and non working husbands . It actually makes me mad when she tries this nonsense.

CuttedPearPie · 07/05/2025 12:32

She's the queen of the MLM insta girl boss pyramid sellers

I saw a clip of her talking about her mornings. Getting up at 6:30 (or something like that), sorting kids’ packed lunches, getting the kids up, giving them breakfast, getting them ready, taking them to school unless she has a meeting in which case the nanny takes them.

And my main thought was, is Harry asleep through all of this?? Either he does none of it (in which case, urgh), or he does but she wanted to focus on her busy working mum stuff so left him out. I feel like she’d have mentioned it if he was hands on sorting packed lunches tbh.

Meghan has chosen to put out a podcast as a commercial enterprise.

If she was feeling so vulnerable that any criticism could be detrimental to her then she shouldn't put out the podcast.

Edit to add - everything that is being discussed is information that Meghan has chosen to disclose on her publicly available podcast. We only know any of this because she spoke about it publicly.

CodandChipz · 07/05/2025 12:48

I thought American schools started much earlier than ours, or is that high school, 6.30am doesn’t even sound that early, especially as she makes out it’s a massive round trip to drop them off

RandyRedHumpback · 07/05/2025 12:51

Adding to @MrsFinkelstein , Meghan says again and again she doesn't read her coverage online. So no need to worry about her @Missohnoyoubetterdont . she has no idea who we are or what we are saying, and doesn't care. She's living in joy.

ThePoshUns · 07/05/2025 12:58

I’m sure that she’d like us to believe that @RandyRedHumpback, but the pair are so thin skinned I can imagine them sat at that awful desk together, reading every single word!

FeathersForFun · 07/05/2025 13:14

Meghan's birthday message for Archie read: "Happy 6th birthday to Archie! Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He's six! Where did the time go?"

The photo she shared of her son had a glowing quality almost like a halo, reminiscent of saint-like portraits in religious art. She also recently posted a picture of herself as a schoolgirl standing next to a statue of the Virgin Mary, which felt like a strange juxtaposition given how controversial she is in the public eye.

All of this makes me wonder: why is Meghan leaning into religious or quasi-religious language and imagery in her PR? Is it a personal reflection, a strategic branding choice, or an attempt to reshape her public image? Especially interesting, considering all the recent SS commentary criticising Prince William for supposedly not being "religious enough".

The Sussexes provide endless entertainment for the masses, maybe not in the way they intend to.

You know that and I know that. But their supporters who hang off their every word should do their best to believe what they say and remain in the same state of joy Meghan inhabits. It's what she'd want for them.

myrtleWilson · 07/05/2025 13:47

Away from RF/Meghan, I really dislike the plea for women to 'be kind' It has done women no favours in lots of ways.
