It's not good news for Meghan. The podcast by Meghan is out of the Spotify 100 in the US and the UK. With Apple it's not even in the top 200 chart.

This week Meghan is speaking to the founder of Clevrblend, the coffee company she invested in. The guest list does seem limited to people she knows which must make for samey episodes.

It's all so repetitive and boring. People see this. They're not interested in listening to her and her friends drone on about how wonderful Meghan is. Lemonada must be thinking WTF considering their other outputs. They've been Markled too and at a very unfortunate time publicity wise for the Sussexes.

Looks like another contract that won't be renewed.

We should start a bingo card .

  1. Lets talk about how we met
  2. Childish shrieking
  3. Authentic self
  4. Wonderful mother /friend
  5. Tears
JADS · 06/05/2025 16:09

Meghan has invested in the Highbrow Hippie range that Cadi (the hairdresser) has developed in Episode 3.

With these niche ranges, they aren't actually interested in developing a large market themselves, they are hoping they go viral on SM and a conglomerate buys them off the investors for $$$$. So yes, this whole podcast series is a plug. It's like the NF infomercial.

Whenever I hear this kind of thing I always wonder what "investment's" supposed to mean, JADS

Spending time or even just offering support via advice can also be said to be an investment, so it would be interesting to know if $$$$ are involved here

"Have I mentioned that all my stock sold out in less than an hour", it would be helpful to know the quantities otherwise it's a pretty pointless brag

  • ‘Prove it’ game or thoughts & words to this end.

We should start a bingo card .

Some kind of medical info which makes M speshul or is designed to elicit sympathy.

Sonething that they've both got/done/experienced that means they're sister souls.

I do think for Meghan and Harry they are better doing one off shows or more spaced out. That way they attract an audience of those who adore, those intrigued or those who just dislike/hate them. Other than those who adore the audience gets bored by episode 3 or maybe even two and the ratings then fall off a cliff.

Good point. I have always assumed that "investment" meant financial, but I have always assumed it was a small amount (maximum $10k).

What advice could Meghan give?

Ah jist took a trip down there with mah straw basket and - no, it hasn't. 'Jam' tomorrow.

My site visit also revealed the use of a hyphen that should be an em dash. These things matter. You said it yourself, Meghan - love is in the detail.

IdaGlossop · 06/05/2025 19:29

I'm listening to this week's podboast. M is so snidy. She cannot praise without there being a sting in the tail. The founder talks about pitching to M when they first meet. 'But you weren't pitching. I'd never invested before....'. So the guest is useless and M is bravely setting out on a new journey. Got it.

'Lens'. Bingo!

Ida, I salute your knowledge of the em dash.

Don't know if you've got to the bit @IdaGlossop where she says she took adaptogenic mushrooms during her pregnancy?

HonoriaBulstrode · 06/05/2025 20:10

So there's her medical history dragged in again.

Indeed, funny how these types of mushrooms are absolutely not recommended for pregnant women.

God this podcast sounds like utter dross. I can’t have any sympathy with Lemonada really because they signed her knowing what had happened with Spotify- more fool them!

Missohnoyoubetterdont · 07/05/2025 08:31

This thread is the worst of Mumsnet. Vitriolic, snarky, jealous and mean. I understand she is not everyone’s cup of tea but why should that bother people so much? Who really cares? Such a lot of wasted energy hating someone you have never met and more than that, a young mother who could be struggling with all kinds of difficulties behind the scenes. As was Diana when the press hounded her to pieces. Go look at your own lives and above all try and be kind.

Aaarrrggghhh....noooo!

I can't let that go: a young mother who could be struggling with all kinds of difficulties What on earth does this even mean in the context of Meghan?

Meghan is NOT a young mother. She wasn't a young mother when she had Archie. She's a middle-aged mother. Why is this important? Because all this guff about Meghan being a young mother and Harry and Meghan being a 'young couple' feeds into a silly narrative which implies they are vulnerable, innocent and basically 'Love's Young Dream'. It softens criticism of them and attempts to absolve them of responsibility for their own actions and decisions (for which, read 'mistakes') and for the hurt and pain they've so deliberately caused to other.

Now, Diana was a young mother.

Young?!

HonoriaBulstrode · 07/05/2025 09:12

She's 43, not far off 44.

She's older than both Catherine and William. Don't see Catherine described as a 'young mother'.

What does it matter? Is it okay to be horrible about her because she isn’t what you deem ‘a young mother’? Middle aged mothers also have troubles/worries. Being a mother is hard. That’s really not the point. Just try and be kind, you really know nothing about her life.
