It's not good news for Meghan. The podcast by Meghan is out of the Spotify 100 in the US and the UK. With Apple it's not even in the top 200 chart.

She doesn't look like a "school ma'am". She is a Norland Nanny and that's their official uniform. Whether she wears that on a day to day basis, I've no idea. The Wales' family are quite private.
In The Cut interview with Meghan, there was a nanny featured incidentally, also I saw a picture of another one. Perhaps one of the other interviews.

In most pictures we've seen her in she's usually in jeans and a top if it's a casual event or smart casual clothes. She very rarely wears the brown uniform and hat - I think sometimes at weddings and at Charlotte's christening.

PigglyWigglyOhYeah · 01/05/2025 17:01

Is the nanny the wales family have the one who wears the hat and looks like a school ma’am

It's a Norland Nanny uniform. How unpleasant to reduce someone who is great at their job in this way.

The uniform is a bit silly but I think it’s just for formal things, although if I was employing her I’d probably request something different. This is a picture of her with George at some royal event he was only watching and she’s just in a jumper here.

Thanks. I think I've only seen her in the Norland uniform at Charlotte's christening. That photo would indicate she's usually less formally dressed.

Does Meghan donate her life saving blood?

It's as common as muck though (waves to all the other A+ people)

My DSis has a less common group and is CMV negative (so OK for newborns) and donates a lot. I have known one person with a really rare group who did also. Of all the things that are a) utterly out of our control and b) no indication of specialness, being A+ is it, Meghan.

Any wonder these threads could be said to go off topic, there seems to be new strangeness daily from Montecito ATM that makes that happen.

Typical of the fans of "feminist" Meghan.

@RandyRedHumpbackI have made a comment about the nanny how does that make me a fan of Megan. Are we not allowed to make comments or observations on this forum without being reduced to being a fan of someone. Likewise then you must be a fan of W&K. I have not seen the nanny in casual clothes only in the uniform which I thought was a bit strict looking it wasn’t meant to be a criticism.

Why is there need to compare these two families at every opportunity. They live on opposite sides of the world and have nothing to do with each other. As far as I am aware we have never seen any of the Sussex nannies. Is the nanny the wales family have the one who wears the hat and looks like a school ma’am?

This only serves to show you know nothing at all about Norland Nannies. 🙄

Spare me. "Wearing a hat and looking like a school Ma'am". Words meant to belittle a highly trained professional.

I'm happy to be a card carrying member of the William and Catherine fan club. Because they are not arseholes.

It's a Page 6 article entitled: Meghan Markle ‘hates the royal family, yet flouts it for her personal gain’ and defies agreement with late Queen Elizabeth II not to use ‘HRH’: sources

Excerpt:

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry still use their HRH titles — and not just privately, multiple sources told Page Six.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex agreed not to use their “royal highness” titles as part of their negotiations with Queen Elizabeth II to leave the UK and their roles as working royals, in 2020.
But, we are told, the entire Sussex family — including Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet — have HRH style, as it’s known, emblazoned on their stationery.

“Meghan hates the royal family and UK, yet flouts [the HRH] for her personal gain. It’s appalling. Everything about her is a contradiction,” one royal insider told Page Six.

And Harry and Meghan — who, we’re told, insist on being called “Ma’am” and “Sir” by staffers — have also used their HRH titles when traveling, a source said. But a Sussex source said the two never insisted on this.

Sources, sources....

Uricon2 · 01/05/2025 18:30

They are more and more like Edward and Wallis on speed.

Archie and Lili have their own headed stationery??? What for? Do they use it to send out party invitations?

How much more pretentious can you get? (If true.)

I find it hard to get worked up at this. I know the late Queen told them not to use it but I think their continued use reflects badly on them and no one else. Unless the HRH is attached to actual royal duties it's really just like calling yourself Princess of Bourbon Two Sicilies. It becomes a pointless title with no status or prestige that makes the one insisting on using it look a bit silly.

ScarlettOYara · 01/05/2025 18:44

I hate "School ma'am" used as a put down of women. It's so negative. I'm no fan of the late Margaret Thatcher, but she got called "school ma'am" a lot by various inadequate men, and she rebuked people for calling her that.
There's no male equivalent. "A school Sir" just sounds respectful. "A school ma'am" rigid, uptight, old fashioned, demanding, strict.
The Wales' nanny has been with them for 12 years, so it's obviously a positive arrangement.

You and me both, MrsLF - besides, I care little about what someone calls themselves and much more about what their behavior shows them to be

And as with others, H&M's behaviour is a choice

If the titles were impacting the UK in anyway I would be onboard with removing them. But they aren't.

I do get your point, and they do look like idiots using HRH in the US. It's the betrayal of and contempt for Harry's grandmother's wishes that gets to me, as well as Meghan "72 engagements" Markle using a title reserved for those who actually serve the UK and its interests.
