Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

My own children have brought me joy not other people's children.

I’ll bet your children do bring other people’s children joy sometimes!

Vespanest · 23/06/2024 15:48

Every stadium will have their own hospitality, Taylor will advise on her requirements, the idea that if William didn’t go, or Hugh Grant and his daughter, Tom cruise and when I went to Anfield Jurgen Klopp that suddenly a random mumsnet child will somehow get a ticket is frankly ridiculous.

I had lamb for dinner the other night. My lamb dinner gave me joy.

As messed up as it is, lambs are other people’s children so I think I just caught you out there. I don’t eat baby animals but then I also don’t get mad if someone takes their kids to a concert and dances their own ass off.

I think now I know why William was letting loose to “Shake it off.” I think he must be living his best life despite it all.

Six year olds are usually awesome and too young to be so angry and they definitely don’t care about taxes.

I haven't mentioned taxes in my posts. All I said was 'its only a photo' and 'other people's children does not bring me joy' and it got their backs up.

As long as it's only children bringing joy to them 👀

I got you mixed up with that one who you explained what they meant about the reports and how they know stuff is being reported even though no one except mumsnet can see that.

But I do live by “Don’t yuck my yum” unless I’m trying to take the mickey which I only do to my family usually.

I don’t know what those eyeballs mean. Is it like “I’m watching you and gonna report you?”

I never heard the phrase 'dont yuck my yum' I'll have to remember that one.

Also, who is “they”?

Actually my friend used to get in big trouble if he called his mum “she” because it was rude. “They” feels like that to me used this way. I don’t want to talk about people behind their backs or in front of them as if “they” aren’t here.

HadMeABlast · 23/06/2024 14:37

Not many people post ‘reported’. And especially not on the RF boards. Unless of course someone has come out with something egregious. 💀

Some claim never to report but you know from the souls of your feet that they do. Sometimes it feels as though it is a concerted effort to get someone banned.

I suppose some teachers would say ‘use your words’ instead.

Me? Well, I don’t think it would be a surprise what I would say.

I’ve no Crown Jewels by the way

Edited

Reported!

hahaha!! Just kidding! I love South Park!

I don’t think they should have gifs that can get people banned! Gifs are funny and fun and they bring joy. Who doesn’t like a good gif to express the moment?

Baital · 23/06/2024 16:05

It makes me smile when I walk the dog past the playground in our local park, and see random children enjoying the swings etc

Seeing children enjoying themselves makes me feel good.

If that makes me a sheep, I am happy to be a sheep.

Dogs make me happy, too. Even other people’s dogs. But that doesn’t make me a dog, right?

@Teddybearpicniccelebration Do other people’s dogs make you happy?

No. That doesn't make you a dog. It makes you a person who likes dogs.

Not all threads will go your way and you will either agree or disagree with the op. Like I said up thread I am in the minority and you or any other poster can agree or disagree with my posts. I have only commented on the photo but I was called a cunt up thread for not thinking of the children's mother. I don't know the royal family personally I was commenting on a photo that's it.

DelectableMe · 23/06/2024 16:11

The problem is this: some people cannot stand the Wales children being happy and having fun, and William demonstrably being a good dad.
Shame.

Baital · 23/06/2024 16:11

Friendly, happy dogs also make me feel good.

And people dad (or mum) dancing because they are in the moment and enjoying themselves.

I feel i am at risk of turning into Julie Andrews and belting out 'A few of my favourite things'

I also enjoy watching The Sound Of Music and singing along 😁

There's plenty of cr*p in the world, let's enjoy the happy moments

Good for them. I still don't care it doesn't benefit me in anyway.

Form reading back earlier today it sounds like you should have been here during the “great Kate pile on” because you would not have felt like a minority at all!

I didn’t see anyone call you that, though. If they did I’m sorry. I get it because someone told me to “do one”. Lol! No, that was me making a joke since I’m the one that said it to myself.

I have to say that I enjoy many things that don’t benefit me at all but that’s just me. In fact I most enjoy things that benefit other people. Most especially if I’m the one bringing them joy! Unfortunately I don’t think my dancing ever does that, and most most definitely not my singing!!!

AllMyRowdyFriends · 23/06/2024 16:20

@Teddybearpicniccelebration maybe you can explain to me something. Posters put dog in in their name then someone made a joke using that song, which is a fun song we used to sing at weddings. But that person got deleted. It’s not even about dogs but people out acting silly and having fun and I know because it got explained to me at the time.

So why is calling people “sheep” which is an animal ok, but calling people dogs who want to be dogs or at least use the word in their name, a bad thing? Honestly it all is fine and funny to me. But not to everyone or else it wouldn’t have got reported, right?

*And I’m not saying the song because clearly that gets you in trouble but I don’t know why and maybe it has more meanings than I know.

Some posters get aggressive to push you out of the thread it's not nice. You have to hold your nerve and don't bite. It's okay to disagree but some posters turn into bullies and allow the thread to get the better of them.

DelectableMe · 23/06/2024 16:23

"I enjoy many things that don't benefit me at all" I think that's most people, @AllMyRowdyFriends - that's how society works.
