Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

AND

I like the Fathers' Day picture
i like the Mothering Sunday picture
i like all their pictures
i like them
i like looking at pictures of Catherine looking beautiful, I think she's wonderful
i like Pandora bracelets
i like all inclusive holidays
I like pretty flowers and stylish, Scandinavian interior decor
i like rose wine
i like Taylor Swift
i like lots of things that sad, sneery people on this website look down on

and do you know I couldn't give a fuck what anyone thinks. It's most liberating, you should try it. I revel in my bourgeoisie. At nearly 50 I'm comfortable in my own skin and I feel no need to try and put someone else down by sneering at what they like to make myself feel better.

I wanted to post this yesterday but I couldn’t find it. Hopefully it will spread some joy (depending on your sense of humour 😆)

One of my late DM’s friendship group
was moving away so they had a bit of a farewell party and asked a neighbour to take another of them all. When we got the photos back, this is what they were like. Made us laugh like drains every time we looked at them. I wonder what the self appointed critics around here would make of the composition ?

Did my mum take that photo?

It's a running joke in our family we all end headless when my mum is in charge of the camera.

Not many people post ‘reported’. And especially not on the RF boards. Unless of course someone has come out with something egregious. 💀

Some claim never to report but you know from the souls of your feet that they do. Sometimes it feels as though it is a concerted effort to get someone banned.

I suppose some teachers would say ‘use your words’ instead.

Me? Well, I don’t think it would be a surprise what I would say.

I’ve no Crown Jewels by the way

The lady who took it was apparently a radiographer. Bit worrying 😆😂

I actually find statements like this sad.

First, why do some people take any negative comment about the royal family so personally? In this thread there have been so many insults and personal attacks and they have all come from one side only.

And second, all the republicans I know deeply love their country and want the best for the UK. They just disagree with you about what the best is. But you think that people with different political ideas to you should move to Iran??? You seem to be the one with a problem with freedom of speech actually. The mind boggles

You must be reading a different thread.

StormzyinaTCup · 23/06/2024 14:41

When someone is offended they normally post I have reported you that's the only way you know that someone has reported you.

Just on this point, I would say it’s not normal practice for posters to announce that they are reporting, they tend to just do it. I have seen it but it’s not the norm.

Watching other children smile does not bring joy to my life. My life is filled with other joyful things to do.

What a sad admission.

My children bring joy to my life no one else's. One day when my children start having their own children they will bring joy to me. It sounds like this photo brings you joy and happiness why are you bothered about what I think?

Can you honestly state that, in your whole life, you have never witnessed a child not even remotely connected to you, do or say something that brought a smile to your face?

How bizarre.

It's a photo of a happy child meeting TS why should that bring me joy?

So cold-hearted.

Christ. Speechless to that weird statement

What has particularly frustrated me about some posts in this thread is the shoehorning into a completely innocuous post of a nice photo the old tropes of anti monarchy. Gives yourselves the bloody day off.

Whilst I acknowledge the validity of the arguments about the value for money of the Royal Family, it’s just comes across as spiteful to place them here. Start a thread about the validity of monarchy in the 21st Century.

The tickets didn’t cost the tax payers money.
Thousands of kids have been to the concert.
It was the dad’s birthday. He took his kids to see Taylor Swift. So what?
Wherever William had gone that night to celebrate his birthday he’d have had security and transport.

Anyone who looks at the picture of the faces of those kids (who’s mum’s had cancer) and feels hate is just a cunt.

Yes when my kids dad had his birthday he would get paralytic drunk and not be seen for days. Part of the joy of this photo for me is the dad William on his birthday being a loving dad. Something I have never experienced.

How fascinatingly original. Baaaaa!!!

Haven't heard that one for a while. Juvenile in the extreme.

You're right though. You're not a sheep. Sheep are actually pretty intelligent.

Not at all. I don’t understand what you are going on about. That’s what “eh?” usually means

On Mumsnet it seems almost universally accepted by child free people that people with children don’t pay tax and we all sponge off of them. Doesn’t even matter if they are earning minimum wage in a dead end job and the parent in question is a high earner, still sponging

ISn't that the other way around? that CF people don't have bills and tax and stuff but they do have high flying well paid jobs that enable them to have exotic holidays and expensive cars?

My on any thread I’ve ever read but show me one anywhere about having DC and some child free person will come on moaning about how hard they have it and people with DC are stealing all their (sometimes pitiful I would imagine) tax money.

I had lamb for dinner the other night. My lamb dinner gave me joy.

There are some bloomin’ psychopaths on this thread. I was deleted upthread for pointing out a poster’s bitter bile (others said the same).

The kids’ mother is ill, fgs, and why shouldn’t they go if she were in the best of health? As for the clown on here whingeing that her dd was crying about not going - is that the fault of Prince William?! Ridiculous!!

I don't feel hate towards them tbh I don't really care it's only a photo. I don't know enough about them to show the same passion as you, Sorry 😐.

Some people are addicted to Mumsnet and they do use what you post previously against you. You can't make a new thread about another thread they do get deleted. When someone is offended they normally post I have reported you that's the only way you know that someone has reported you. It does feel like you're in an online playground. People can say what they want and no one knows what you look like.

Sorry I went down a rabbit hole reading threads here. I can‘t see any posts saying “I’ve reported you” but I did see lots of other things and it looks like something similar to what you are talking about only, not toward anyone posting mean things about the next King and his family. More like people protesting the mean things are getting reported and their posts removed.

I also was reading some stuff on other sites and now looks like some people are saying really hateful things about Taylor just because she’s posted a photo of William and the children on her instagram and I read she never ever posted a photo of Travis herself until that one. I think that’s super cool! But it has definitely made people mad and those same ones had posted about “block this bitch” on X which I think means report them and try to shut them down because they like William and his family and I don’t know why that would make anyone hate someone.

So yeah, I can really see where people worry about being reported on a site where only posts that are reported get looked at. I still think it’s weird that poster keeps saying stuff about reporting and blaming certain posters for doing it when it seems more likely that it’s not those posters at all, since most people here have been all over this royal family board on many threads going way back.

My good friend says “Don’t yuck my yum!” I like Taylor and now I am going to be following the Wales since she clearly clearly likes them why else would she post the first ever photo of Travis Kelce on her instagram just because they are in it?

Six year olds are usually awesome and too young to be so angry and they definitely don’t care about taxes.
