Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

"I enjoy many things that don't benefit me at all" I think that's most people, @AllMyRowdyFriends - that's how society works.

Exactly

Teddybearpicniccelebration · 23/06/2024 16:15

Good for them. I still don't care it doesn't benefit me in anyway.

Ah so here is the crux of the matter.
you only feel joy if there is some personal benefit to yourself.

Most of us are more altruistic.

anyway I have no idea why I've invested so much time on my day off, a day filled with sunshine and 3 magpies in my garden fighting over the dropped bird food with my neighbourhood squirrel , arguing over happiness with a total stranger.

have a nice day, if you can.

@Teddybearpicniccelebration maybe you can explain to me something. Posters put dog in in their name then someone made a joke using that song, which is a fun song we used to sing at weddings. But that person got deleted. It’s not even about dogs but people out acting silly and having fun and I know because it got explained to me at the time.

So why is calling people “sheep” which is an animal ok, but calling people dogs who want to be dogs or at least use the word in their name, a bad thing? Honestly it all is fine and funny to me. But not to everyone or else it wouldn’t have got reported, right?

*And I’m not saying the song because clearly that gets you in trouble but I don’t know why and maybe it has more meanings than I know.

Posters used my post to humour themselves they wasn't offended. It depends on the mood of the thread. On another thread someone may post that song and it doesn't get deleted.

AllMyRowdyFriends · 23/06/2024 16:28

I get my feelings hurt in real life if no one agrees with me ever but only if I’m probably being wrong anyway. Otherwise I just stand firm. But online you can do whatever you like. If anyone doesn’t agree with me I think hard about my position. That’s important to me. Like sometimes I notice I do things very differently from other people and maybe that’s because I’m doing it the hard way.

It’s not mean to push back either if you think someone is being unkind. Taking up for people who are being unfairly vilified is a GOOD THING!

Here’s one now!! Does that song make you upset?

I haven't mentioned taxes in my posts. All I said was 'its only a photo' and 'other people's children does not bring me joy' and it got their backs up.

You didn't get anyone's back up - your insignificant comments just aren't that important. Mildly surprised that someone would be such a cold fish as to react negatively about a photo of excited, happy children. I wouldn't go so far as to say it brings me joy, but it makes me smile, and I don't even like children all that much tbf. I like my own.

Runnerinthenight · 23/06/2024 16:32

Teddybearpicniccelebration · 23/06/2024 15:18

You think I am cold hearted about a photo I don't know them.

Empathy is clearly a foreign country then.

Teddybearpicniccelebration · 23/06/2024 16:32

AllMyRowdyFriends · 23/06/2024 16:08

@Teddybearpicniccelebration Do other people’s dogs make you happy?

This probably won't come as a surprise my dog doesn't like other dogs. My daughter is scared of other people's dogs and I think our dog has picked that up.

Runnerinthenight · 23/06/2024 16:36

Teddybearpicniccelebration · 23/06/2024 16:10

Not all threads will go your way and you will either agree or disagree with the op. Like I said up thread I am in the minority and you or any other poster can agree or disagree with my posts. I have only commented on the photo but I was called a cunt up thread for not thinking of the children's mother. I don't know the royal family personally I was commenting on a photo that's it.

I don't think anyone who has posted knows the RF personally, but we know a lot about them. Enough to appreciate that they've had a tough time of it recently and they're still little.

Don't ever claim to be a humanitarian, will you!

I think the dog has learned from its owner because you don't appear to like other humans very much either.

HadMeABlast · 23/06/2024 16:41

DelectableMe · 23/06/2024 16:08

No. That doesn't make you a dog. It makes you a person who likes dogs.

shame because they could have been a sheepdog.

💥 boom 💥

I’ll get my fleece coat

Form reading back earlier today it sounds like you should have been here during the “great Kate pile on” because you would not have felt like a minority at all!

I didn’t see anyone call you that, though. If they did I’m sorry. I get it because someone told me to “do one”. Lol! No, that was me making a joke since I’m the one that said it to myself.

Nobody did call this poster that name. My recollection is that someone said something along the lines that people posting nasty things about a photo of the royals with TS were the c-word. Therefore it was this poster who chose to identify themselves in this way.

My dog likes everybody and I suppose
people should be afraid of her because she will lick you to death. My dog before seemed to think most other dogs were boring and maybe stupid.

You don't have to go far to read people's tactics. They literally write them out eg

"Keep your peace - report the egregious posts but don't engage"

This is how serious and besotted some are. Discussion of tactics 😂😂 and yes reporting.

AllMyRowdyFriends · 23/06/2024 16:47

This is all reminding me of Depeche Mode “people are people” but I’m singing it as “People are Sheeple” and wondering why hate someone just because they took their kids to a concert!!! (I know it’s not about that, but sheesh!)

People are people, so why should it be?
You and I should get along so awfully
People are people, so why should it be?
You and I should get along so awfully
So, we're different colors and we're different creeds
And different people have different needs
It's obvious you hate me, though, I've done nothing wrong
I've never even met you, so, what could I have done?

I can't understand
What makes a man
Hate another man
Help me understand

League Of Gentlemen Office GIF by Cartridge People

Quite.

The last person I saw shrieking the word egregious was Pauline in the League of Gentlemen.

All we need now is a Mickey love.

DelectableMe · 23/06/2024 16:56

Pauline's pens. I'm like that at work 😁

HadMeABlast · 23/06/2024 16:58

That's Kate's and her families business not ours. We all go through personal struggles and some of those people have small children as well. There is three things you can be sure about in life birth, death and taxes.

It was aimed at me that poster thinks i am a cunt. She chose my post but fair enough we will have to agree to disagree with the aggressive post that was tagged to me.
