Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

I wonder if this indicates William is ready to crack on with some actual work. He has only done 9 engagements so far in June, according to the Court Circular, yet he has the time/energy/fitness to leverage his position as Prince of Wales to get prime tickets to an England football match and now Taylor Swift (so crowds clearly not an issue with Kates treatment and exposure risk). William is next in line to the throne, when will we demand more of him? It's time for him to step up, the King (who is battling cancer at 70+) is doing more than him. Wheeling his cute kids out for a photo op to make us forget his laziness is becoming wearing.

You do know that he's been supporting his dad and picking up some of his responsibilities, don't you?
It's very easy to criticise people. Finding out facts and basing opinions on that is somewhat more challenging.

Oh this is lovely and what a nice treat for them after the recent sad news about their mum.

Also, he's never "wheeled out his cute kids". They were on his Instagram birthday and Father's Day posts. A selfie with Taylor Swift.

A happy family should be celebrated, not resented.

I'm inclined to agree. If this was coming from a background of decades of hard work in the line of his duty then I might be more sympathetic, but he's been workshy his entire time as a working royal. His elderly relatives do more than he does, and he's second in line to be our (unelected) head of state.

Maybe William is possibly doing that rare thing of being a Dad? While the mum gets treatment?

@SummaLuvin Correct me if I'm wrong but I rather suspect they'll have watched Taylor from a private box rather than mingling in the pitch standing, so crowds are unlikely to be an issue.

What a lovely treat for two children (one of whom is obviously absolutely beside herself to be there) who are no doubt going through a frightening and worrying time, regardless of their wealth and privilege.

He’s the President of the FA so attending football matches is official work for him. The President of the FA has been a member of the Royal Family since 1939 and has also included Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Andrew in the past.

Absolutely, I'm as jealous as they come. Who wouldn't want that lifestyle in return for doing sweet FA!
