Will, George & Charlotte - Taylor Swift concert (photos)

Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

I said it before and I'll say it again; single greatest moment of this little girl's life.

If they are going after one of the kids then hell mend them.

I’m not surprised though given they stooped low enough to give a mother with cancer a rough trot.

Sadly, some will always be in a dreadful hurry to show us how much of an arsehole they are on the inside.

See, that's the thing I don't get. If I were going for a child - any child - I'd be thinking 'what the HELL is wrong with you??' and assuming that the problem lay with me. Unfortunately I don't think self-examination and reflection are something these people indulge in very often.

Who now thinks Charlotte's bedroom is festooned with bracelet making kits, TS posters and a life sized cut out ? And Kate in constantly telling her "Charlotte will you please tidy all those beads from all over the floor"...I really do hope so...

I'm thinking that those photos must gladden Kate's heart - to see her children laughing and enjoying themselves and having the time of their lives.

If she is anything like mine, her heart will be lifted by that.

Anyway , as far as posts over the last few days , I agree there must be some sort of klaxon calling the anti Royalists to post nasty stuff about the Wales family . It seems that the only acceptable Royals are H and M .

That’s vile. Honestly I despair of some people. H&M should take a good hard look at themselves and see what vileness they’ve unleashed. But I doubt they have the self reflection.

Look at the comedian Frankie Boyle. He got more and more revolting and offensive in his desperation to shock people. Until it was too much and that was the end of him.
I feel there is a similar dynamic on social media - people go for desperate tactics to stand out and get noticed. I think they probably often don't mean and believe what they are spewing, they just get caught up in a vortex of competitive nastiness. It's the same everywhere, from AIBU to twitter.

Nice to see William doing a bit of Dad Dancing to Shake it Off - although I think it was more Therapy Dancing. I do a bit of that myself from time to time but only in the kitchen when I'm on my own. Don't want to frighten the horses.

Those children look genuinely happy. I'm glad they were able to have a carefree moment.

Watching other children smile does not bring joy to my life. My life is filled with other joyful things to do.

The two things are not mutually exclusive. Joyful people tend to empathise with other peoples’ joy. Not pour cold custard over it 🙄

I read that comment about other children smiling not bringing the poster joy in the voice of Stephanie Cole in Open All Hours - the one Arkwright called the Black Widow.

What do you find joyful ? I find it hard to believe that someone who finds no pleasure in the innocent joy of a child could find anything pleasurable.

I think it's a mistake to think of joy as a cake to be rationed out in slices.

What has particularly frustrated me about some posts in this thread is the shoehorning into a completely innocuous post of a nice photo the old tropes of anti monarchy. Gives yourselves the bloody day off.

Whilst I acknowledge the validity of the arguments about the value for money of the Royal Family, it’s just comes across as spiteful to place them here. Start a thread about the validity of monarchy in the 21st Century.

The tickets didn’t cost the tax payers money.
Thousands of kids have been to the concert.
It was the dad’s birthday. He took his kids to see Taylor Swift. So what?
Wherever William had gone that night to celebrate his birthday he’d have had security and transport.

Anyone who looks at the picture of the faces of those kids (who’s mum’s had cancer) and feels hate is just a cunt.
