Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

I'm only surprised nobody has started up a conspiracy theory that PW is embroiled in a passionate fling with TS - I mean, he sang with her on stage, in 2013 and has now been in a picture with her enjoying himself without his wife. In fact I expect he left the kids with a nanny to go backstage abd slip her one in between 1989 and TTPS while TK was at the bar.

So KC was criticised that he wasn’t a hands on parent unlike Diana. (I didn’t believe that then and think a lot of that was the media)

William clearly is hands on and is criticised so if I was W & C Id be stuff everyone and post what I like!

I was brought up In a republican household. My stepdad would have had them all shot and dumped in a pit. I think they looked at themselves and changed a lot in the 90s/00s. I think they're worth the money and they bring in a lot of revenue from tourism.
Yes people still flock to the Winter Palace but going somewhere and seeing where QE2 ate her breakfast or wrote her Xmas speech is much more personable than another museum or empty stately home.
Seeing the late Queen sitting alone at her husband's funeral in 2021was more representative of what the rest of us were going through than the shower of shit who were taking the piss out of us in Downing Street.

I actually find statements like this sad.

First, why do some people take any negative comment about the royal family so personally? In this thread there have been so many insults and personal attacks and they have all come from one side only.

And second, all the republicans I know deeply love their country and want the best for the UK. They just disagree with you about what the best is. But you think that people with different political ideas to you should move to Iran??? You seem to be the one with a problem with freedom of speech actually. The mind boggles

In fact this one is pretty typical. Someone says something nice about the royals, a klaxon goes off somewhere and all the people who apparently couldn't be pleasant and generous about anything or anyone (let alone the royals) if you held them at gunpoint pile on here and express their frustrations.

my Horrible Aunt is like that. A more sneering, dissatisfied, curmudgeonly woman you could not hope to meet. She exudes an air of "please me if you can". She'd be just the sort of person that would say nasty things about children, especially royal ones.

Ditto DGM. Sitting in her chair watching TV and making the same sort of remarks as your aunt.
