Looks like William took George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift for his birthday. Looks like Taylor was just as happy to meet them as they were to meet her.

What a shame. A happy child usually brings joy to everyone.

My children bring joy to my life no one else's. One day when my children start having their own children they will bring joy to me. It sounds like this photo brings you joy and happiness why are you bothered about what I think?

RedYellowPinkGreenPurpleOrangeBlue · 23/06/2024 12:14

Watching other children smile does not bring joy to my life. My life is filled with other joyful things to do.

WTAF?! 😂

I’m sure your children bring joy to their friends, their grandparents, their teachers….?

True. I hadn’t thought of that. Yeah. A human didn’t write those particularly weird comments.

GOT to be AI. No-one would post such batshit things.! Grin

The two things are not mutually exclusive. Joyful people tend to empathise with other peoples’ joy. Not pour cold custard over it 🙄

It's a photo of a happy child meeting TS why should that bring me joy?

Uricon2 · 23/06/2024 12:18

Well, my life is a bit lacking in joy at the moment especially as daily dressing changes have now been added to the stress pile, so seeing some happy children and William doing his Dad moves cheered me up. My brave, uncomplaining husband liked the pictures too, especially the ones that reminded him of running around the North Norfolk beaches as a child.

There were a few on another thread where I was thinking, if that's a human writing then I've never met anyone like that. Perhaps that just proves my social circle is very limited.

Probably the latter. There were posts during covid that had me going YOU WHAT??

That pic reminded me of being a child in N Devon and days on the beach - the days when I reckoned that they're called sandwiches because of the sand which is in them. They def brought back some happy memories and joy to me.

Yes when my DD was tiny we lived in a flat and she used to stand on a box looking through the window and waving. I didn't realise an elderly couple were waving back at her. We randomly bumped into this couple who said waving to DD was the highlight of their day. They said her little face filled their hearts with joy.

How lovely! What a challenging time, though, I hope you recover soon 🌹

❤️ that's beautiful 😍

I love seeing my children being joyful. And other children being joyful. They aren't mutually exclusive.

The photos (and dad dancing video) made me smile, because i am a human and it makes me happy to see other people happy

Simple as that.

Yes, there is a serious argument to be had about constitutional arrangements - I think ours aren't ideal but in practice work quite well - but seeing happy children doesn't make come over all hostile.

If they have known each other since 2013 could one of the children be hers, and Kate just pretended to be pregnant!

Have you ever seen Taylor and Kate in the same place? And Kate has been absent from the public eye during the Eras tour?

Apolloneuro · 23/06/2024 12:31

Imagine being a teacher and having so much bile in your system that not even the image of a heartfelt smile on the faces of a couple of kids can deter you from being a snark.

It scares me that those people spend their day with kids.

Fortunately, teachers with such lack of compassion seem to be quite rare, although I have met a few in my time.

I am sorry I should feel all warm and gooey inside when I look at that photo and gush over it or else I am an unfeeling robot 🤖.

Apolloneuro · 23/06/2024 12:35

And actually, it’s good to remember that the vast majority of people on this thread see it as a nice photo of a family being happy.

I managed to get the cheapest possible tickets to go to Billie Eilish with Dd, who had idolised her for ages. It was her birthday and Christmas present. When we went I was (as I realised after) going down with COVID.

The memories will stay with her for the rest of her life (and mine, watching her sheer happiness, despite feeling cr*p, and yes, I tested for COVID, it was negative that day and positive the day after)

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 23/06/2024 12:36

There is nothing so divine to the ears than a child laughing and giggling.

When my nephew does it we can be helpless with the giggles. It is a noise that has made me feel true joy over the years.

All burdens can feel like a million miles away.
