Meghan and Harry spotted out and about - Naija Edition

Today H&M, visited Lightway Academy in Abuja to launch its first-ever Mental Health Summit which came about due to a partnership with The Archewell Foundation and The GEANCO Foundation a Nigerian Charity – which particularly deals with school supplies and menstrual products.

Meghan was wearing a really nice blush pink dress - I think it really suits her. Unfortunately it hasn't been stocked since 2018 but I've found a screenshot to have a look at the back properly. A bit more open than I would like (seeing as I now have rolls on my back - the diet has not panned out 😂) - but not backless as reported.

Invictus next - they went to a reception at the Defence Headquarters with a nod to the Nigerian Flag - Meghan wearing white and Harry green. I’m loving the rainbow geles the women are wearing - I knew the Naija ladies would be showing out!

Kaduna next to meet with Nigerian military veterans, soldiers wounded in action, and families of soldiers killed in action as a guest of Senator Uba Sani. Harry visited some of the soldiers in hospital. I have been side eying the Senator as I don’t think that agbada is Harry’s colour 🤣.

I do not like the peachy dress at all. The waist sits weirdly and the ruffle bit added to the bottom is one of my least favourite things they do to dresses.

The white suit is gorgeous and very striking against the more colourful (BEAUTIFUL) outfits of the other women. A very clever choice for that event.

The Nigerian woman on the left looks gorgeous. I love those colourful outfits. It's a shame Meghan wore that skin colored dress, it was not flattering and a bit bare for daytime.
The white suit is better though, nore flattering in style and a better choice for daytime engagements. Her hair is better, too.

Here’s a video of Harry and Meghan dancing and singing with children and their teacher in class. I came across it on Tik Tok, but looked further and found it on Daily Mail and Instagram for those that don’t have tik tok (or don’t like it).

I don’t have an Instagram account at the moment, but I was still able to scroll down from this video and see quite a few more photos and videos of the day. Including images of Harry’s hospital visit, and also Harry and Meghan talking about mental health to the children.

I think Meghan is most likely rewearing her clothes like most of us do. The dress was from 2018, and I’m fairly sure she’s worn that white trouser suit before also. At any rate, she’s got a good sense of style imo.

Gosh that back is a bit daunting to wear out and about in a normal situation.

The earrings Meghan wore with the peach dress are vintage Lanvin.

The gold band neck piece is from Aurate - on sale now I think.

It's so wonderful to see this 'Royal' power couple showing the world how how impactful meet and greet can be done and their genuine delight in their work and with the people they meet. Long may they prosper and continue and I think most normal people without axes to grind share in this happiness too.

I feel sure Diana would approve of the life that Harry is carving out for himself and and this visit chimes with one she did many decades earlier to the same Commonwealth country.

Thank you. I’ve seen so many videos of the school visit - they both seem so natural and relaxed interacting with the children. The message is an important one - “It’s ok to not be ok”.

Her white suit is lovely, not a fan of the dress at all, mostly the colour and the fact it's way too long for her, but it's interesting to see a back view, from the photos it did look completely backless.

And Prince Charles

Meghan complained that she was forced to wear neutrals whilst in the royal family so I find it strange that these are her choices here especially in a country which loves to dress in colour.

She looks great in the white suit - and it does make her stand out.

The peach dress is meh she looked much better in other things. Dress is apparently called Windsor.

I've seen it raised sides not being there at those points and some of the back missing is possibly a problem as hugging strangers where to put hands to avoid bare skin - but not see any pictures yet backing that up.

I think she would be horrified that William and Harry are estranged and that Harry and his wife have repeatedly trashed his family. Yes, Diana spoke out but nothing like the vitriolic outpourings from her younger son.

Meghan said 'To my understanding, you can’t ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there’s a group event, but then you also shouldn’t be wearing the same colour as one of the other more senior members of the family. I wore a lot of muted tones but it was also so I could just blend in.”
