Part 5 of (mostly ๐Ÿ˜‚) drama-free and positive threads, delving into all things Meghan and Harry. Whether itโ€™s the causes they support, their business initiatives, or Meghanโ€™s fashion choices (Harryโ€™s too, on occasion ๐Ÿ˜‰), thereโ€™s plenty to discuss. Just a pro-tip - that there may be use of MLE terms and discussions of dupes - you might want to exit stage left if these things offend. Hat tip to @queentim for the original inspiration.

That is much more the sort of casual dress I was expecting on the tour and I think it suits her.

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 11/05/2024 14:01

@skullbabe Well her understanding was wrong, wasnโ€™t it. And it is clear now that she likes muted shades and actively chooses to wear them- despite that fact that they donโ€™t suit her at all.

Yet another โ€˜misunderstandingโ€™ by Meghan that she used to smear the RF. At what point as a grown woman in her 40s does this become her responsibility?

Overtheatlantic · 11/05/2024 14:04

The cultural differences would have been so significant that itโ€™s hardly surprising she misunderstood a fair number of references and rules.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 11/05/2024 14:11

It looks exactly like the gold Hertz rental dress, but in a different print and the A-line skirt and straps being left intact.

Thank you for this positive thread about Harry and Megan. ๐Ÿ’

Meghan. Itโ€™s Meghan.

AliceOlive · 11/05/2024 14:16

I love the dress, hair and earrings.

Sorry my autocorrect won the argument re Megan v Meghan ๐Ÿ˜‚

Ratsoffasinkingsauage · 11/05/2024 14:23

@Overtheatlantic well then she needs to own it. Rather than making the implication that something was being done to her that was limiting her freedom of expression she needs to own the mistake. If she truly misunderstood she has had long enough to realise that was the case and retract that remark.

Sheโ€™s a grown woman. I donโ€™t know why people insist on infantilising her. Any sensible person would have just asked the question: is it that I canโ€™t wear colours or do you have a specific colour scheme in mind that I can fit in with? Or even, is it the whole outfit or the colour that is inappropriate? Or are we suggesting that I have to wear a hat for protocol?

skullbabe · 11/05/2024 14:30

The cultural differences would have been so significant that itโ€™s hardly surprising she misunderstood a fair number of references and rules.

There was no misunderstanding - in order to avoid potentially wearing the same colour as other more senior members of the family she was she in, she purposefully chose clothes which were unlikely to be chosen by others. If any other person did this - it would be considered thoughtful and considerate. But itโ€™s Meghan so ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ.

Anyway - she didnโ€™t go home last night and stayed for the gala. I think white really suits her.

I think white really suits Harry too - I think the agbada earlier was maybe too patterned and cream coloured for him.

How I wish sheโ€™d get her outfits tailored for her.

And I wish she would wear vibrant colours again.

She looks so much better.

That dress looks lovely on her. I rarely like her formal choices but that is a winner.

Why haven't they put Meghan in something traditional as they did Harry? She would look beautiful in those strong prints the other ladies are wearing.

Sunnyandsilly · 11/05/2024 14:36

not sure if this thread is just about clothes?

so, if so sorry as discussing wider, but am I the only one finding the optics of this very odd, it is indeed like they are doing a royal tour, the very thing they didnโ€™t wish to be. I canโ€™t work out what they are doing.

and Megan has lost a lot of weight, thatโ€™s what strikes me about her appearance, she is very fragile looking.

DiTePerdantTeMaledico · 11/05/2024 14:37

How beautiful is the woman next to her?

The colours are divine.

She looks great (that white dress looks amazing on her) but she did lose a lot of weight. I hope she's okay

skullbabe · 11/05/2024 14:44

Iโ€™m just waiting for a Nigerian auntie to convince Meghan into a gele ๐Ÿคฃ. Tbh she wouldโ€™ve looked fab with a white one for the dress at the gala.

TripleDaisySummer · 11/05/2024 14:46

I agree the white evening gown does look good on Meghan.

Also agree with DiTePerdantTeMaledico the woman next to Meghan looks stunning as well with those colours and patterns.

skullbabe · 11/05/2024 14:46

That woman is stunning - have a gander at how amazing Nigerian women look at weddings if you have the time.

GrouchyKiwi · 11/05/2024 14:53

I like today's dress, apart from the cutout on her chest. It's a lovely fabric too.

The white gown looks stunning on her. Simple lines are better for her, I think.

Love the blue and green outfit on the fellow guest!

skullbabe · 11/05/2024 13:46

Closer look at Meghanโ€™s dress

I like the dress minus the high split but the length of the straps seems too long. There is a huge gap of chest and surely you would want your boobs higher than that ? That could easily have been adjusted.

AnnieSF · 11/05/2024 14:57

skullbabe · 11/05/2024 14:31

Plain is better but it's such a shame that there's not even the tiniest nod to her Nigerian roots.

Mymilkshakebringsallthepapstomycar · 11/05/2024 15:00

Is she wearing a crucifix with that white strapless dress? All other ladies covered up modestly and colourful. And Harry all in white too. As a POC I find their fashion choices uncomfortable.
