Part 4 of a nice, unproblematic thread to discuss some of the fab outfits from the Duchess of Sussex, and some of the many great causes she (and Harry) and Archewell supports.

That's a very sloppy outfit. For such a beautiful woman she looks a mess.

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 20:44

Never realised how tiny Katie Couric is

Meghan's outfit is much nicer in that photo skullbabe. I love the texture of the shirt. It doesn't look great in movement, though.

Brooke Shields is so tall!

I love how colourful the panel is.

Nice smiley ones

Katie's suit looks too big for her too. Is this the style? Just googled and Brooke is 6 feet tall!

AliceOlive · 08/03/2024 21:16

I love Nancy’s Outfit and think she’s kick ass. She’s so well spoken and excellent at staying on subject.

skullbabe · 08/03/2024 22:42

🤣

pipsfromthefuture · 08/03/2024 22:57

@skullbabe nice group shot. I want to see more photos of Meghan's outfit. Are the top and bottom matching?

It's making me laugh how these ladies barely make it past Brooke's chin

Panel sounded good overall - good flow of conversation

This is a beautiful photo of her!

Also Harry (and everyone else) looks so happy. Love to see it

Nice little summary of the SWSX panel from the BBC, quite balanced.

“Meghan said people have "forgotten our humanity" in certain parts of the media and digital sphere.
"The bulk of the bullying and abuse that I was experiencing on social media and online was when I was pregnant with Archie and with Lili", she explained.
"You just think about that and really wrap your head around why people would be so hateful - it is not catty, it is cruel."

“Meghan said she found it "disturbing" that women were "spewing" hatred at each other online, adding: "I cannot make sense of that."
"If you're reading something terrible about a woman, why are you sharing it with your friends?" she asked.
"If it was your friend, or your mum or your daughter, you wouldn't do it.
"I think that is the piece that is so lost right now (with) what is happening in the digital space and in certain sections of the media - we have forgotten about our humanity and that has got to change."
At fellow panellist Katie Couric's urging, Meghan also re-shared how a letter she sent aged 11 to consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble led to a sexist advert promoting dishwashing liquid being changed.”

Meghan: 'We've forgotten our humanity' online - BBC News

The Duchess of Sussex criticises "seemingly endless" online toxicity and says she was targeted while pregnant.

I think Meghan has forgotten some of what she has said publicly.

Not this again.

Wonder which version it was this time?

Has it moved on to now include writing to Elvis as well as roping in Hilary Clinton when she was 11?

Charity starts at home. If she cares so much about women she could start by not slagging her sister in law off at every opportunity. She could speak to her husband about humiliating women in Spare. ( Disabled Matron, first woman he had sex with, Camilla, Kate).

She’s the least feminist woman I can think of. It’s so hypocritical. Talking about ‘baby brain’ to Kate in a condescending manner. It’s laughable.

Choosing to repeat the “waity Katie” online SM and tabloid slurs on her huge Oprah Winfrey platform amplified them.

She should take her own advice - don’t pass hate stuff on to your girlfriends.......!!!

Sitting in silence when Omid said Kate and Charles were racists when the worlds media erupted.

She could have stepped up at any moment to correct that for the sisterhood - but she let it stand because it suited her most likely.

You know what show they need to reboot: Desperate Housewives - showed a whole range of mother good and wifehood and friendship. Love that show

I'd like to see Corrie back how it was before about 2000 - strong women characters, women in work in a range of roles, children (and childcare) visible (though childcare was a bit too readily available, but I can live with that, especially as parents talk about who's going to collect and the answer could be either). Cleaning, laundry, home maintenance etc seen occasionally

I think the odd dissenting post in here is fine - otherwise you will all run the risk of diabetes.

There were lots of nice photos of them taken with people at the event, and during a visit to a BBQ joint.

Her outfit looks like a re-wear of peices. Causal but nice

It looked like a really nice place - did you see the picture mural of Freddie Mercury as the Queen? Apparently Harry wanted to take a picture in front of it and the owner said - and I’m paraphrasing here - “I think you’re in enough trouble” 🤣😂

I really like the outfit actually, not sloppy, its a relaxed style, is it linen? I did watch some of the event, I thought it was really good and I liked what Meghan had to say too.
