Okay , I'm just going to say it... where is Kate Middleton?

(or for the MN purists, Catherine) The most high profile and popular member of royal family has not been seen since Christmas. I do think it's quite strange and so many rumours from the foreign press. And before anyone starts jumping down my throat about her having hysterectomy / crohns / ad infimum / I've had both a hysterotomy and half my intestine removed and was back in work within a 8 weeks.

Plus most costumes are very flimsey and its 0c in Windsor so then there's the whole debate over what to wear underneath. Meanwhile the Yorks and Zara's crowd are all of on a jolly at the F1 race, Queen C has jetted off for some sun, Pippa is also off on a beach somewhere and Kate is recovering from surgery and still is having to sort out the fricking book day costumes whilst nearly everyone else is on holiday! You had one job William.... 😤

Bit surprised Kate still can’t drive, which I’m assuming that’s why her mother is driving. I mean it’s what 7 weeks since surgery?

Misfitmissy · 04/03/2024 22:38

If she is still on pain medication she may not be able to drive. Her face is puffy which suggests steroids too.

ElliottFromScrubs · 04/03/2024 22:47

God love her. She’s clearly been really unwell. It’s a shame that she’s probably been strong armed into this because of all the rumours and speculation

brunettemic · 04/03/2024 22:47

Who cares, she’s had surgery or whatever…leave her be.

saraclara · 04/03/2024 22:49

Oh jeeze. There's a photo for everyone to dissect now?

Poor woman.

Lovethistimeofyear · 04/03/2024 22:51

I think they are making a point that this is how they plan to deal with private issues from now on.

The King has shared he has cancer but not what type, and we aren’t getting very much information about treatment / recovery etc.

This is a very different Royal Family now.

In the past, while the Queen didn’t necessarily give specific health details, there would have been updates from the Palace.

jeffgoldblum · 04/03/2024 22:54

I'm on the gin ! Still don't think a grainy photo is proof of anything let alone a divorce!
Maybe everyone should be on the gin!

Vespanest · 04/03/2024 22:56

There is gossip and speculation but I find there are those who actually want there to be pain and negativity, even seek pleasure in hoping Kate is in some way suffering, it’s quite pitiful. Twitter is awful for it but at least it’s easy to block anyone with Sussex in their bio and anyone who calls Meghan one of the derogatory nicknames she has been labelled. There is plenty to criticise (mainly the men in the family) that has happened than to enjoy creating Kate/Meghan anguish.

Why are posters so rude lately? Just because @ToffeeTalk has a different opinion, there's no need to call her deranged

We aren't North Korea, differences of opinions are allowed

I will remember this when someone speculates on the marriage of h & m .

newusern99 · 04/03/2024 22:59

ToffeeTalk · 04/03/2024 20:05

Sure. But Carole hasn't had surgery and looks as though she wants to shoot somebody.

It’s just one moment in time. Do you drive around grinning all the time?

WimbyAce · 04/03/2024 23:01

I just saw the pic, which does not look like her at all. Something very odd going on here!

AlbertoDilemma · 04/03/2024 23:02

I think some people are too used to pre- organised, Backgrid pap shots of their target grinning behind the wheel of a stationary vehicle, to remember, that most people don't drive around with a deranged grin on their face.

If I have a passenger in the car I will always be talking to them. If I’m on my own I will always be listening to Classic FM and assume therefore that my expression tends not to be thunderous.

saraclara · 04/03/2024 23:05

I'd be feeling thunderous if my daughter was having to deal with all this speculation.

What a shit life it is. I don't know why anyone would marry into royalty.

Floopyfloop · 04/03/2024 23:09

I think she has had endo surgery which has also affected the bowel and has possibly ended up with a temporary stoma.
I have had this surgery previously and it took a good 3 months to feel myself and my face was puffy and very shiny from all the hormones

Clearly they have spotted someone taking a photo and are a bit pissed off. They aren’t on a public engagement.

Even when listening to Holst’s Mars, Bringer of War, Tchaikovsky’s cannons or Puccini’s Nessun Dorma?

Sorry, but not believable 😤

BIWI · 04/03/2024 23:22

FFS give it a rest @ToffeeTalk

You have no idea why Catherine (or her mother) have the expressions on their faces that have been captured by that snapshot. Also worth remembering that 'snapshot' = a quick snap in a moment of time. In the next moment they might have broken out into broad grins. Who knows? Not me, not you, no-one knows.

And just because you might not have a 'thunderous expression' on your face when you're driving, doesn't mean that other people will be the same. You have no idea what they're listening to. Or talking about. Or thinking. Or anything.

AlbertoDilemma · 04/03/2024 23:23

@TitusGroaned I reckon Meghan's got Chaz n Dave's greatest hits on the stereo whenever she gets papped. Hours of unadulterated joy, I tell you.

Maireas · 04/03/2024 23:25

I listen to Verdi's Requiem. Then the news. I am constantly weeping.

Why thank you. It'll be a shock to my husband, who thought we were happy, but I did look glum in the car and that can only mean one thing.
