(or for the MN purists, Catherine) The most high profile and popular member of royal family has not been seen since Christmas. I do think it's quite strange and so many rumours from the foreign press. And before anyone starts jumping down my throat about her having hysterectomy / crohns / ad infimum / I've had both a hysterotomy and half my intestine removed and was back in work within a 8 weeks.

And the Princess of Wales is also perfectly clear as to who is being discussed. And she did change her name on marriage. The King's quite short to say....can you advise what I should say so I don't sound obsequious? People can call her what they like but who are "we" and "most of us" anyway. I don't think most people go around worrying about sounding obsequious.

OK, so she changed her name. I still don't know what to, nor do I care. Changed name and title at the same time, then changing title again because someone else died. It's all fairly pointless keeping up really.

Alice, other people have given better answers than I by now.
In England if you are Roman Catholic or Church of England or Methodist or Baptist or several other denominations etc etc Easter will be early this year, Easter Day being on March 31st. In England there are some Russian Orthodox and Greek Orthodox churches - a few - and presumably they will celebrate Easter a few weeks later.
I think you will have the same mixture of denominations of Christianity in the USA.

I think it must be Easter. Are you sure it’s not? Why is everyone expecting Kate to be out and about if not?

Is your only contribution a personal attack too?

Oh abd of the 14days 7 of those werw spent in intensive care. I had no choice but to just "get on with things" once i was discharged. Yes i hurt but im very independant and had zero support from husband.

oh Can’t beat a bit of „I had a shit time and no support so I want everyone else to have the same“. That’s not being independent.

In what way?

jeffgoldblum · 03/03/2024 12:54

Why is there a concerted pile on of @AlbertoDilemma ?
Personal attacks are against guidelines!

I've no doubt I could post paragraphs about your unhinged "dislike" of people you know very little about, if I could be bothered to dive "deeply", but, alas, I have better things to do.

What personal attacks? She's just been told she might like to chill out a bit and stop obsessing. It comes across as very strange indeed. That's not a pile-on.

Daisyislazy · 03/03/2024 12:56

It doesn't really matter how long it took other people to recover from surgery. She will be better when she is better

So now I am unhinged for doing research?

Her name isn't Kate Middleton. She is the Princess of Wales. No surname, she has a royal title.
Overcome with nosiness about her private medical issues but you can't even get her name right.

That's always been the care for women marrying in though, hasn't it?
Diana, Princess of Wales was most commonly called "Lady Di", And Sarah, Duchess of York was most often referred to as "Fergi".

I don't know why people here are so keen that she appears, when we've had a statement that said she wouldn't appear until after Easter. Save that for end of April if she still hasn't appeared.
I'd have thought that people would want to support someone in the public eye for taking their full sick leave without feeling the pressure to come back early. It's good that people don't feel that they have to come back early and show their face whether it's from surgery, giving birth, or mental health.
I hope William is looking after her and making sure she rests up.

Why are you researching people you don't like?

In which post was that said?

I don't think it's a pile on, I was actually giving advice & trying to be helpful. It's not healthy

AlbertoDilemma · 03/03/2024 13:01

It's a summary of most responses to you. It's not a direct quote, obviously. Never said it was.

Your obsessive responding here is somewhat adding to the impression your first post made.

Lilacanemone · 03/03/2024 13:03

She was already very slim. The surgery probably causes more weight loss, so they wanted to give her time to regain some weight before appearing in public for everyone to comment on how thin and sick she looked.

Why are you researching people you don't like?

People often research people they don't like if it might involve politics as that affects everyone.

jeffgoldblum · 03/03/2024 13:04

When a group of posters are new and start on one poster in concert , calling her posts , unhinged , hateful and telling her to "chill out"
Then yes I would describe that as a pile on and a personal attack.

Helpful advice? , that is not what it looks like ! , unhealthy? What are you implying here exactly?

If people are tagging me and talking about me, and saying unpleasant things aimed at me personally, it is not obsessive to respond and ask you to clarify. It is simply inquisitive and asking you to justify your attacks on me.

Nobody's attacking you. Just suggesting you chill out a bit. Carry on obsessing if you want to. No skin off my nose.
